I'd like to do a one-on-one-on-one RP. The setting? Vampireland. (OK, no, the real name of the place is Mortæcias.) The time period is slightly wonky. They live in a feudal system, with peasants/farmers at the bottom, and rich noblemen who are independently wealthy at the top. The level of tech is around the 1700s. The aristocracy and ruling class are exclusively vampiric, the merchant class is somewhat mixed, and the peasants are all humans.

The vampire society is somewhat rigid. The main points that will be dealt with in this RP are marriage and interaction with humans. Vampires have a slightly animalistic way of mating, and attitude towards...well, I may as well say it...sexual conduct and behavior.
I have a long post about how I like vampires to work in this thread. Eventually I will put that in its own thread somewhere int the Multiverse, if that's allowed, but for now, here it stays.

There are some differences, though. Vampire men and women are not infertile, and a purebred vampire baby will be born undead. (This is to aid the setting.)

I bet you're wondering about the plot. This will be a slice of life kind of RP, with somewhat maybe romance thrown in. My character is the son of a very wealthy vampire nobleman. The wealthiest, in fact. He's the King.
The Prince's name is Ezekiel Octavian Flint, his father is King George Timothy Flint. His family has been ruling Mortæcias for a very long time. Centuries, in fact. Zeke is nearing his hundredth birthday, and he is obliged to find a wife. His title, riches, power, and good looks make him Mortæcias's most eligible bachelor.

Vampires age normally. They can alter their appearance by drinking blood, which makes them look younger. (Not necessarily more attractive.) However, since vampires only die if someone kills them (or if they have some sort of accident), their children are usually treated as children until they are in their early hundreds, unless they choose to allow themselves to age. It's varied. Bottom line: the Prince, although he is nearly a century old, still acts like an obnoxious teenager.

I need two characters. One of these will be the woman the Prince is courting. Some prerequisites: exceptionally good looks, lots of money, and tolerance for the very obnoxious demeanor of Zeke. This character should lean more towards an apathetic girl who likes Zeke for his money and power (and good looks), and not so much towards a kind, caring girl who thinks Zeke's just misunderstood. For one thing, there aren't many of those who are also rich vampires in Mortæcias, and for another, Zeke would write her off as a simpleton.

As part of the courting procedure, Zeke is obliged to go down to the countryside and fetch a particularly tasty-looking human for his girl. That's the second character I'll need. Zeke will kidnap (probably not too stealthily, since he's the Prince) some yummy-smelling youth from the nearest village and bring him or her back to the palace, where he or she will be prepared, then presented to the Prince's sweetie.
Prerequisites for the human: Either male or female will do, but more likely female, since they taste better. Must be younger than twenty years old if a girl, younger than thirteen if a boy. Points if you're cute---attractive people tend to taste better, but smell is a better indicator.

Any takers? If I only get one, I'll be willing to play the third party, but I'd prefer not to have to do that.

What sort of character did you have in mind?

I was thinking she could be about seventeen years old, her name could be Elena. She would stand at 5"6, her body very femine. Her hair a golden color with dirty blonde streaks running through. Her eyes are a aqua blue color, they are light and shows how kind she is. Her skin is a light tan color, natural, of course. She could be, as I said, slim, a perfectly flat stomach, and all her other femine parts pefect. She would be smart, funny, and kind, but also a litte bit greedy. She lives in lower class family and would do anything, matter what, to provide for them. She's the oldest out of four others girls. Her parents work hard to provide for their children, and now Elena feels it's her turn.

Name: Alexis Northing
Age: 18 (in appearance of course) real: 105
Biography: Alexis was born to an aristocractic family, of a large wealth, she did not know of their vampiric persona however until she was 16 years of age. All her life she had been given exactly what she wanted, exactly what she required whenever she felt the want for it. When her 16th birthday came around, her parents informed her of their true backgrounds, revealing they were not born to the 'dark gift' but rather changed, and decided they wanted a child. They treated Alexis like royalty and constantly enveloped her in gifts of massive pirce-tags. Her parents were out about the streets one night, skulking for easy prey of a high stature when they were approached by a rather extravagent couple. The couple told them of their noble and wealthy stature and enquired after Alexis, informing the parents that they had heard of national and non-national potential suitors for their son, and Alexis happened to stick out to them. Alexis' parents could not refuse such an offer and gladly offered their daughters hand in marriage to their son. When Alexis was informed, she was furious, after a life-time of getting what she wanted, she was being forced to wed someone she never met. Her parents threatened her reluctance, informing her of the good this union would do for them, telling her she would emidiately be viewed as a rogue if she offiacly refused his hand. Forced to give in, Alexis vowed to never like this Zeke if it were the last thing she would ever do.
Personality: Alexis, as you can tell, is extremely stubborn. She comes across as very cold-hearted, but to those who know her well, she is kind. She is fiesty in every aspect, and very determined, personalities always clash with hers when it comes to males, as they wish to be the dominearing factor in the relationship, but forced to be 'civil' to Zeke, what rage will brew?
Appearance: Alexis is of an average height, standing 5'5". She is of a slim build, with a flat stomach and a rather big chest. She has fiery red hair, which waves half-way down her back, luminating her pale-white skin and green eyes. She has full lips which are almost always wearing a pout. She has long, slim finger, which behold a subtle ring, which her father gave her for said birthday.

Lyongirl, if you want to put up a character, you can; although I don't like rejecting people, and I'd have to turn either you or Emma down. *unsure*

As for Alexis...matchmakers probably wouldn't stick her with the Prince. More likely it'd be his family approaching hers. And they'd have to be filthy, practically disgustingly rich to attract his attention if they weren't born vampires.

Her persona, however, is fabulous. Zeke isn't particularly demanding, or controlling, but he is also very spoiled, and he can be quite horny at times. And he is quite attractive, a fact of which he is made well aware.

Cool, cool. Let me fix it up a slight bit then! I'll be a few moments! And by the way, thanks for actually giving me that little adjustment, I like it when people are very particular about their RP's!

Emma, in re: Marriage: I'm glad you're OK with me being picky. The aristocracy in this world is somewhat vaguely like that of Terry Prachett's Diskworld. Aristocrats get together at social gatherings and discuss things like their grown-up children. A likely situation Alexis's parents would find themselves in is being addressed at one of these gatherings by some lapdog of the royal family.

Although, it's slightly different from an arranged marriage, in that Alexis's parents aren't necessarily expected to set up her wedding. Zeke still has to so through some sort of wooing procedures, and shell out a lot of gold and stuff to Alexis and her family. Although, seeing as he is the Prince, and he is filthy stinking rich, Alexis's parents are quite correct in their assumption that a refusal would leave Alexis in a rather bad situation socially. Plus, she would probably never get married. ("Hey, she turned down the Prince. There's no way I'd have a chance.")

I understand. What would you see me alter as to fit perfectly with Zeke's family situation? Sorry - I just really want to gt it right.

Well, pretty much what I said. Alex's parents, most likely her mother, is at some sort of social gathering, and some official looking guy shows up and says that Their Majesties would like to acquire an audience with you to discuss matters of utmost importance, concerning their son. The Northingtons make the arrangement, and go to the palace, where the King and Queen tell them that the Prince would like to pursue their daughter's hand in marriage. Although, as I said, the vampire culture here is generally not big on the whole "true love" deal, insofar as they assume Alexis won't care that she doesn't love the Prince (as she's never met him.) They don't expect, however, that Alexis will put up such a stink about it. They assume she will go along with, each party will be happy with their new trophy spouse, they will proceed to make a bunch of little blue-blooded babies, and life will go on.

Sound good? Naturally, if that wouldn't work with the characters---if it just wouldn't happen---then changes can be made.

Another thing I was wondering: When will we have the actual RP start? I mean, if we start at the proposal, Twilight will have to wait a long time before she can post, and if I know RPs, we might not even get that far. Still, I'd like to start somewhat in advance of Zeke going out to get Elena, to set the scene a little.

Also, Twilight: Although I'm fairly sure Elena is likely to survive at least long enough to make this an interesting three-man RP (or three-girl, I suppose) namely because she is likely to refuse anything Zeke gives her, there is a likely possibility that Elena will die throughout the course of the RP. Although, nothing bad ever came of discussing the end of an RP beforehand, just so we're all on the same page.

Sounds good to me. I really don't mind at all where we start considering it isn't 1x1 it would be fair not to start at the engagement. With that I agree fully. I would start where-ever you want, I'm just excited to get started.
