To be honest, I'm not sure where the complaints for a new server are coming from; I have little to no troubles with the site's speed, or the site in general. So, I'm in Sinful's boat: Don't ask, just profit.

Hah - what I meant in such unclear terms was that the post's author will get the points. If someone else writes text that goes into the body of your post, you are the author and you will get the points, not them.

Unfair, yes, but the base scoring system is done by machine, which recognizes no author, only the person who put down the post. Simply put, if the people want their work attributed, you will have to break it up between you. I understand it's far more convenient (and, frankly, makes for better RP) to make cooperative posts, but machines are not sentient beings, so there's no real solution to it.

And, I have tuition, and college books, and car insurance to pay for or buy in the next couple months. I sure could use the money. But, I've already made a pact with myself (can you make a pact with yourself...?) that I would donate some of the money if I won.
I also agree that the money should go to the server instead, but if this is what Eric wants to do, I won't argue with him. He obviously has his reasons for doing this, and he obvously thinks it is worth it. So I will do my part to contribute and participate!

Also, one more thing. I have an idea, and I don't know if it would be possible.
Do you guys think it would be a good idea to have the ongoing results posted somewhere for everyone to see, or would that cause trouble somehow? Is it even possible to do that?
I know I'd love to be able to keep up with who is on top, I just don't know if that would cause any conflict.

i am going to use this contest to test myself and win or lose i will at least know how i am faring against you pros lol. as far as if i were lucky enough to actually win well i live in a wonderful country where u can put money in paypal to buy stuff but you can't recieve money thru paypal so other arrangements would need to be made cause 2000 rand would go long way woot for exchange rate lol

For those of you who are complaining about the money issue...
The winners have the option to, upon recieving the money, return it to the RPGateway funds through a dontaion.
However, some people really do need that money, and if their writing can help them do that, then kudos to them.
