I have some concerns about how the points are being scored right now.

Was there a typo when you added points to some people? I mean, so far, I'm pretty satisfied with how many points I have for my posts. But I see a person has a negative scoring, which is an interesting thing, and I see the lead right now is by over 1000 points. I look over some of the posts myself, and I'm thinking there's a flaw somewhere in the marking...

That, or you pressed zero a couple of times without knowing.

I agree with souless the post below scored over 1000 points...

PPS: the origional post seems to have been corrected, and the scoring adjusted...

How does someone have a negative point? o.O;

Negative points are rare, but do happen. This is not a flaw with the system, but is instead part of the scoring algorithm.

As far as the high scoring post - this was a result of the way the text was entered. As you have noticed, this has been adjusted - moderators will manually fix any posts that are unbecoming of the contest. (Double posts, bumps, intentionally manipulative text.)

And you're right, all you have to do is be descriptive in your posts and there ya go. It's not like it's hard to do. I am not the best at being more into detail about things but I'd like to think I do pretty good. I mean, isn't that what roleplaying is about anyway? Description?

Yes well, as it is, I really was quite surprised when I found how many points I found that I had accumulated already. Granted there are numerous people with a great deal more points, but then again, they posted more two. I'm just glad that who ever or what ever runs the point system, thinks I write well.

I couldn't get on at all this week because of a ton of papers I had to write and now I will never catch back up to first place. ;_;

A suggestion:

Perhaps a modification of the prizes, to include the person with the highest score per post average.
