Abandonment. ((IC)) ( )

Postby lifeordeath on Sat Dec 05, 2009 1:02 am

The rain in the early morning began to fall as Empathy sat in her bed, nose buried deep within the pages of her current book. She glanced up, looking toward the window at the sounds of the rain on the tin roof. The sun's rays were finally reaching over the edge of the grass and seemed to be playing peek-a-boo with the clouds. She placed her bookmark in the paper and slipped from her bed. Her eyes had bags under them from a another sleepless night. As she slipped down the stairs, her feet pattered on the stairs. She peeked into the refrigerator and looked for the strawberries and peanut butter fudge she always kept in the back.

Of course, it wasn't there. Why not? RJ had decided to play another joke on her. She was pissed now. "Ugh!" she groaned. Slamming the door, she raced noisily up the stairs and slammed the door to her room. She didn't care who she woke up. She didn't care about anyone in the house except locking herself alone so she didn't hurt anyone. "Ugh!" she screamed. She flopped down on the bed knowing that this day couldn't possibly be good.
Love me forever; as long as the sky is bright, as long as the world revolves, and as long as I can breathe.

Angel jumped, opening her eyes as she heard a loud bang reverberate through the house and groaned. Empathy was pissed again, that much was obviouse. She sighed and sat up looking at her clock, groaning at how early it was. There was no point of her trying to get back to sleep so she turned on her bedside light and picked up her book 'The Demon Assasin' from it's place on the floor and began to read, leaning back against the cushioned flower mounted on the wall above her bed.

After a while she got bored and got up, going to her wardrobe and grabbing a Motley Crue shirt, a pair of jeans with rips in the knees and a large thick hoodie. She smiled at herself and pulled on a pair of converse before quietly opening her bedroom door and going down the hallway to the stairs. She checked that no one had heard her as she reached the back door before slipping into the garden and letting the cool early morning air hit her face.

If it wasn't for a door slamming, Aylin would have been asleep for another hour or so. She rolled over, pushing the white bed sheets off of her small body before slipping her feet onto the floor. She walked towards her bathroom, but stopped once she reached the far wall. Her fist slammed into the aqua blue wall twice, knowing that Empathy had the room next door. "Thanks for waking me up!" she shouted, before rolling her eyes and continuing into the bathroom.

After taking a quick shower, Aylin felt refreshed. She didn't need to dry off her body for it had already absorbed the stray water droplets, so she pulled on a pair of white shorts and a light blue tank top. Her blonde, way hair was left behind her shoulders after she pulled a brush through it. She was finished, and she left her bathroom, bounding down the hallway and towards the kitchen. Instantly pulling open the freezer, Aylin grabbed a handful of ice cubes and shoved as many of them as she could into her mouth. Ice was basically the only thing she would eat. Of course, she had to eat actual food every day or so, but that was nothing compared to her consumption of ice and water. That was a necessity.

RJ let out a small chuckle as he rolled over in bed. He knew actually what Empathy's problem was and why she was freaking out. This was only the fourth time this week that she hasn't had that stupid fudge and strawberries. Now that he was awake, he slipped down the stairs in only his boxers. He ran his hand over his buzzed hair and yawned. Slipping into the kitchen, he saw Aylin stuffing ice cubes into her mouth. "Slow down there, munchkin." He glanced toward the window finally noticing the rain. Within a quick second, the rain had stopped and the sun was shining. He looked to Aylin knowing she might say something to one of the other kids. "Sh, this is our little secret. If you need me, I'll be around."

He grabbed the box of Frosted Flakes and trudged groggily up to his room.

Yuki stood looking out of the glass door that lead to the small balcony connected to his room. The rain pattered on the wooden deck. Each drop made the young boy flinch a little inside. The rain always brought back memories that he'd rather not have and that night replayed through his head again. Suddenly, the rain pattered to a halt and a ray of sunshine broke through the clouds. He smiled a small knowing smile. RJ probably did that again. Yuki thought to himself.

He wiped the bit of water that had built up in his eyes away and walked over to his dresser, beginning to look for an outfit for today. Yuki pulled a black T-shirt over his head and brushed his hair out of his eyes. He grabbed a pair of dark blue, jean, shorts and slide them on. Yuki slide two black arm sleeves onto his forearms, pulled on a pair long white socks, and his tennis shoes. He took a minute to comb his hair and left his room, making his way towards the stairs.

The thought of his flower garden popped into mind as Yuki turned the corner towards the glass backdoor. As he threw open the back door and rushed outside, he crashed straight into the back of Angel as she stood taking in the morning air. The young boy sat rubbing the back of his head as he looked up at the older girl. "Gomen, I didn't see you there sis." he apologized. He called just about everyone here brother or sister and every now and then it came out when he spoke. Then again, everyone here was like family to Yuki.

After being awaken by a loud crash Aiden calmly got out of his bed and went to his bathroom. Em was having another one of her fits, and if anyone could guess it is probably RJ's fault. After showering and doing his other morning duties, Aiden donned a pair of black jeans and threw on a green t-shirt. He decided to leave his hair uncombed as usual, and headed downstairs out towards the garden to get some peace of mind. On his way to the garden doors he saw the rain come to a halt and bright rays of sunshine adorned the house, surely the work of RJ he thought to himself. When he opened the door he saw Yuki apologizing to Angel. "Hey little bro." Aiden said in a somewhat cheerful but unenthusiastic tone. Glancing towards Angel he started to feel himself blush and cursed himself for being so socially awkward towards attractive women. "H-h-hiya Angel!" Aiden stuttered. He made a promise to himself that one day he would eventually tell Angel how he felt, but today wasn't the day. To break the awkwardness of the situation he took out two metal marbles from his pocket and started to twirl them around his hand.

Lesley sat in her bed silently, hugging her knees to her chest, her slender arms wrapped around her legs. Her beautiful face rested on her knees as her shimmering blue-grey eyes looked at the far wall of her room. She flinched slightly as she heard a loud crash, 'Great, Empathy is mad... again.' She tought to herself. Her fingers brushed the light-pink silk of her pajama bottoms, long and lovely golden locks framign her face.
Lesley had stayed up to majority of the night... Since 2:00am, maybe? Lesley sighed as she gazed toward's the small window in her room. Glowing orange filled her room; dawn, maybe? Being the smartest girl here, Lesley had broken her clock last night.
Her blue-grey eyes glanced towards the frozen time on the clock, 10:35pm it read. The electronic was now useless, frozen in the time that Lesley had 'accidently' knocked it onto the ground.
She gracefully turned, her legs now off the bed as Lesley stood up, walking swiftly towards her door.
After she was outside her room, Lesley's blue-grey eyes glanced down the hall-way for a moment; wondering if anyone else was awake now, though the chances would be in the majority after Empathy's out-burst.

Alisa woke up from a lot of noise down the hallway. Rubbing trough her eyes, she sat straight in her bed. “Sure seems lively again today.” She yawned as she stretched her arms and legs.
Then she got out of bed and walked to the pots filled with plants. “Good morning plants, hope you guys slept as good as I did.”
Seeing as she was in a good mood, the plants seemed to sparkle a little in the sunlight. Running to her bathroom, she filled a glass and gave each plant a little water. “There you go, you must have been thirsty.”
Putting the glass away she started to undress and took a nice hot shower, as she did every morning. Then she put on her clothes, off course they were pink, as all her clothes were.

After brushing her curly hair, Alisa went down to the kitchen, hoping that someone would have made her breakfast but as she got there, she couldn’t see anyone.
Since she wasn’t allowed to do any cooking herself, she grabbed a few cookies and went towards her favorite place: the garden.
Though the ground was wet, a sign that it had just rained, the sun was shining. So with a big smile she bit in one off the cookies and walked down to the garden path.
There she saw that angel also was there once again. “Morning Angel! Want a cookie?” She shouted towards Angel as she held one off her cookies held high.

Aylin watched as rain stopped falling and the sun peeked out from between the grey clouds that were disappearing too quickly to be natural. She rolled her eyes at RJ but smiled lightly, although she did like the rain. There would still be puddles out, and she liked RJ, so she didn't yell at him to change the weather back to stormy.

"Yeah, yeah," she said as she watched him walk off with a box of cereal. Around throwing a few more ice cubes into her mouth, Aylin began to chew on them and she headed outside to where the rain had left behind puddles. As she walked by them, they grew smaller and the water began to absorb into her pale skin. She smiled in satisfaction before catching a glimpse of Alisa walking towards the garden. It didn't surprise Aylin that the girl was headed there, because she did weird things with flowers.

Aylin slowly followed the younger girl and when she arrived in the garden she saw Angel was there too. With a michevious grin, Aylin stared around at a large group of roses before walking over and lightly touching the dirt that they were rooted in. Slowly, the dirt began to grow dry as she absorbed the water.

Empathy changed into a pair of sweat pants and a t-shirt. She was going running and didn't care much about what she wore. She was agree and didn't want to be in the house. She glanced in the mirror. Her hair was still wet from the shower she had taken in the middle of the night. She tied it into a ponytail. Pulling her sneakers over her feet she ran down the stairs, her phone shoved into her back pocket. She swiped the keys from the counter and slipped into the garage. It was cooler in there and she ran toward her truck. After getting warm, she texted Angel saying where she was going. The mountains. She always went there and got lost until dark. She didn't contact anyone didn't bother doing anything. Sliding from the driveway, she left and never looked back.

John had been awake for an hour working out when he heard the crash, he could only guess at what had happen. He finished up his bench workout and stood up wearing a white tee shirt and jeans. His tee was covered in sweat. He stepped of his room and looked over seeing lesley poking her head out own the hall.

He walked over to her room and leaned against the wall. "Hey! You want some eggs? I'm in the mood to cook!" He said with a big smile on his face.

Angel smiled at Yuki,"It's alright hun," She reassured the younger boy, offering him a hand so he could get up. She looked out over the garden and grinned at him,"You wanted to play out here too huh?" She asked, brushing her long hair out of her face. She loved playing games with the younger kids and enjoyed acting like one of them while she was running around play tag or hiding among one of the thicker area's of plants in the garden.

As Angel completely ignored her and just kept busy with Yuki, Alisa turned around. Her good mood had just been ruined since it happens all the time that people just forgot about her, or didn’t notice her or even ignored her.
Tears started to form in her eyes as she walked back towards the house.
Until she noticed Aylin. Aylin was crouching besides a bush of roses.
Curious as what Aylin was doing, Alisa walked over to her. “What are you doing?” She asked as she looked at Aylin.

Then she noticed Aylin’s hand on the dirt and saw the water flow in it. With a quick glance on the roses, Alisa saw that they started to witter.
She then gave Aylin a little push, so that she tumbled backwards. “Don’t do that! You killed the roses!” The tears that just were forming in her eyes now came out.
“Why do you want the hurt the roses. That is just mean! I don’t want them to die! They are beautiful! She cried as she could only stand there.
Because Alisa was sad, all the plants and flowers in the neighbourhood reacted to it and slowly began to bow down and looked if they also started to die.
Seeing that, Alisa even started to cry more and louder. “I don’t like this!”

((Sorry Nevyn I didn't see Alisa was talking to me.))

Angel blinked as she saw the flowers start to wilt, looking around for the reason she noticed Alisa crying. She very quickly patted Yuki on the head, assuring him she'd be right back before rushing over to Alisa and crouching down next to her. "Hunny what's wrong," She asked wrapping her arm around the younger girls shoulders,"Shh, shh. It's okay, look," She picked one of the roses off the bush next to her and wrapped her fingers around it lightly, and held it out to Alisa to show her that she'd made the previously sad bud blossom fully again.

RJ slipped down the stairs, after hearing the front door close and seeing Em's truck leave the drive way. He set through the open door to the backyard, noticing Alisa with tears sliding down her cheeks and Angela comforting her. He ran over, a playful smile on his face and picked up Alisa swinging her around and then tickling her. "Cheer up, silly. There's nothing to cry about. If there is, RJ can fix it!" He puffed out his chest and acted like a super hero. He glanced down at Alisa, waiting for some kind of response.

Yuki watched as everyone went over to cheer up Alisa. He sympathized with her, but he felt that Angel and RJ were handling things well enough without him. Instead he bent over his flower garden. His heart sank slightly as he watched the roses and petunias he spent months raising start to wilt and droop over, as if they had given up. Yuki reached out a hand towards one of his roses, and at one of those uncontrollable moments, his hand passed through the flora. It was as if all his effort had already faded away. The young boy closed his eyes and said a silent prayer, tucking his disappointment inside like he did so many times before. "I'm sorry my friends, but I guess it was your time. I know your children will grow up big and strong though," Yuki told the wilting plants.

Pippa woke to the feeling of something wet against her cheek. She opened her eyes groggily only to be met with blurry shapes she couldn't make out. Sleepily she reached out a hand to figure out what was touching her. Her pale fingers found something soft and silky with a long snout and wet nose. A contented smile pulled at the corners of her perfectly sculpted lips.

"Good morning, Sam," she yawned as she stroked the golden head of the collie standing next to her. In response he licked her cheek and wriggled happily as if he was very glad she had finally woken. He then nudged her with his nose and she laughed a soft tinkling laugh that sounded like bells. "Okay, okay I'm getting up." With that she tumbled out of bed and made her way, with no trouble to her bathroom. Though she couldn't see she had her room memorized.

Once inside she turned on the hot shower and stepped under its steady stream. She only spent about five minutes under it's soothing stream before stepping out and wrapping herself in a large fluffy lavender towel. As soon as she was out Sam was at her side touching his nose to her hand gently. She smiled and placed her hand on his head and allowing him to lead her to her dresser where she picked out a pretty pale blue dress the exact same shade as her milky blue eyes and slipped into it.

"Let's go get breakfast ready Sam," she suggested once her hair was brushed and kept out of her face with a headband. Sam yipped in agreement then Pippa laid her hand on his head so he could guide her from the room and downstairs to the kitchen. As she stood before the fridge she heard voices outside. She wandered to the door leading out to the yard and stood there.

"Hey!" she called, "what's everyone hungry for?" She stood leaning against the door frame with her eyes staring blindly at nothing as she waited for them to reply. Sam sat at her side with his tail wagging slightly.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The sun peeped through the crack in Toby's curtains as he bright blue eyes appeared as his heavy eyelids opened. He gazed around sleepily trying to figure out where the loud noice had come from, but he found nothing. He yawned and stretched before climbing out of bed and trotting into his bathroom. After relieveing his tiny bladder he padded out of the room in his blue spiderman pajamas complete with little feet and a zipper up the front. He made his way downstairs to see there was no one in the room. He advance to the kitchen where he saw Pippa standing in the doorway with her dog sitting beside her where he always was.
"Hey!" he heard her call, "what's everyone hungry for?"
"I want pancakes! Oh, and french toast and candy!" Toby exclaimed as he moved to her side. His big eyes peeked around her to find everyone standing in the garden, but as soon as his eyes fell on Alisa he couldn't see anyone else. She was so pretty. He especially liked her pretty curly hair and how she made the flowers so pretty.
Suddenly Angel stood beside her and gave her a hug. “Shh, shh. It’s okay, look.” Alisa heard Angel saying as she picked one of the roses off the bush next to her and wrapped her fingers around it lightly, and held it out to Alisa to show her that Angel made the previously sad bud blossom fully again.
Seeing the bud blossoming, Angel stopped crying.
Then she suddenly heard RJ’s voice. “Cheer up, silly. There's nothing to cry about. If there is, RJ can fix it!" And when RJ puffed out his chest and acted like a superhero, she couldn’t help it but to smile lightly.
Looking up to him with her watery eyes. “Aylin has been bad and killed flowers, can you make them come alive again like Angel did?” She asked him.
As she once again was hoping that the dried up flowers could be revived, the other flowers and plants, that had began to bow down and look if they also had started to die, started to stand up straight again.
And as hope was sparkling again and was reflected in her teary eyes, as she kept looking at RJ and Angel, hoping that one off the two could revive the flowers, the other flowers and plants also seemed to start to sparkle a little.
In a matter of seconds, the rain from earlier was falling on all of them. It poured from the sky, like tears. "Oops." RJ smiled. He glanced down and saw the glint of hope in Alisa's eyes and smiled, embracing the rain. He stuck out his tongue and caught the droplets. "Hey, Starry, isn't your makeup going to run?" he teased.
Yuki rose to his feet and looked up at the sky. Even the sky weeps, he thought. The young boy turned and walked back towards the house, not bothering to open the door, but passing through it instead. Once inside he saw Pippa and Toby standing in the hall. Not wanting to bother them with his problems, Yuki put on a fake smile and said, "Ohaiyo, Pippa, Toby. What's for breakfast?"
