I recently created a God Hand 2 roleplay. I created the roleplay "Flamer" based on my book about a superhero with fire powers, but because "flamer" and "flaming" are terms assigned to gay people, I had to deal with people assuming this character was gay when he is not. So, I changed it to Solaris to stop the gay jokes. They got real old.

I for one have never heard of such non sense with the terms "flamer" and "flaming". Most of the the time those terms are used ot describe someone who is being mean and vindictive towards other people, but never have I heard it being used as a term assigned to members of the Homosexual society/community. *sigh* this world is so f***ing backwards. I'm just saying..... and I'm not directing any anger towards anyone in this particular forum/thread, I'm just speaking in general. :)

Well, I've heard people saying that someone who is in your face with their gayness is "flaming", and one girl said she calls gay people "flamers". "Flaming" in online terminology means being mean, but it has other meanings. Not the whole world, Winds, just certain people. I, for one, am not homophobic, and just live by the "live and let live" creed. I do my thing, they do theirs, and the world keeps on spinning.
