Western Territory -Thantos Instinct, Terra's Lab
Terra nodded slightly after Dominic had finished, having dozed out into her own world while he was speaking. Terra‘s brain woke up at the sound of lunch, she accepted Damien's offer happily and had asked him to surprise her; not wanting to be picky when they were so short on supplies. An awkward rumble came from her stomach when she thought of food, it was replaced by a nervous giggle.
She heard someone speak by the door and turned in surprise. Terra recognized the man that was talking as Church, they had been acquainted before; she felt more comfortable seeing a face she knew rather than some child or a stranger (not that it was a common occurrence). Dominic made a suggestive movement after having been inquired about medical supplies and Terra tilted her head, counting up how much she could give away without having to struggle to duplicate more. A nasty coughing fit escaped Dominic, leaving her a bit unsettled; she attempted to reach out to him and lecture him for being ‘up and about’ when in such a state but he had slipped away in a hurry.
She noticed that Trys and Church were still by the door and hastily made her way past them, beckoning them to follow. She entered her research room and instantly started rummaging around for a file; a faint glow came from the computer screen which proved to be the only light source.
“Where is it, where is it, where is it? Stupid. Stupid!”
Terra had been running back and forth for a few minutes, throwing stuff aside, before she stopped littering the lab floor with files and paperwork and stood still for a while; she slapped her forehead. Terra had been looking for her medicine ration file that told her how much was being made, what had been used and what was left in stock for emergencies. She made like a blue streak towards the drawers by her computer and pulled out an impressive file, the pages were riddled with red x’s and blue notes; a coffee stain marked the coating of the file and it was evident that this was one of the oldest files around. After skimming through the bulky folder she put her finger on the page she was looking for. Jumping gleefully Terra began to collect supplies from various metallic cabinets and put them in a pouch, adding a small vial filled with some of her own concoction.
In all of the bustle and confusion of collecting the supplies she hadn’t noticed whether or not anyone had followed her. An annoying light caught her attention and she turned to inspect from where it was coming from. The screen had been flickering the entire time, a bright message had been screaming out to her that the testing was over. A loud clunk was heard as the pouch met a table, she walked towards the screen not sure what to make of it. In big bold letters it read:
Testing complete, no disease recognized
