Taking a breath, the woman seemed to disappear deep between the planes of life, becoming nothing but a ghost, floating into invisibility in smooth brushstrokes. Bliss soon was gone, dispersed to the universe and spinning through the world, racing to find her next place. Her next belonging.
A calling seemed to come to her, far in the distance. Bliss closed her mirror-like eyes, and drifted towards it, until she was there. The world appeared around her, but to the world, she appeared in smooth strokes of tan and black, her skin appearing and her clothes painting over it, her body half-clothed, and barely clad. But, she was covered enough.
Her black hair was pulled back into a long silky coil held by golden rings, and her appearance seemed slightly refreshed with every time she reappeared. Her black lips parted as her body was finally solid and composed, her chest rising slightly for a breast. Her curves and look was magnificent and ethereal, almost eerie.
She was standing near a stretch of land, a demon squeezing the life out of a human. Poor young man, she thought. Fetching fruits and necessities from the woods, and finding a demon to purge him of his sins instead. As the beast looked up, he growled, dropping the dead carcass, slowly fading from warmth into death.
The soul rose, as Bliss stamped her staff to the ground. Her lantern grew black, then burst into a bright orange light, almost blinding and seen by any around her- though it was no one but her and the demon, and the young man's soul. The soul was drawn to her, in awe of her beauty and strange elegance. To the dead, Bliss appeared much differently than she did to others. To the dead, her clothes where white and her hair was white, her eyes reflecting magnificent colors and fortunes of where that person's soul was destined to go. Thankfully, this boy was to be in Heaven.
The demon rose quick as the soul was engulfed and taken by the light of her lantern. Raising her staff, the light of her lantern shot to the sky, disappearing. Within a minute, it reappeared back in her lantern's small black cage. The boy's soul had been taken safely to the Heavens. Poor young man.
The demon sped forward, turning his head back for a split second to hear the cries of more of his kind from above along a natural terrace almost. Closing her eyes, Bliss felt a human-like life force up there. Slaughtering the demons.
Stamping her staff to the ground, it rolled up into a black mist in her hands that spread out and broke into two long black thorned whips. Twisting them, she lightly flicked her wrists outward. The life-like writhing whips shot forward, wrapping around the demon's throat, until his life too, was drained away.
Stepping forward, she seemed to shift through space itself and appear along the terrace like set of land, watching a man of maturity striking down another demon with a sleek katana. Another demon seemed to leap forward, abrasive and angry, readying a mace to slice at him with. But with the twist of her left wrist, Bliss's left whip shot forward, wrapping around the wrist of the demon, yanking him tight. Pulling her wrist in a soft snap-like motion, she slammed the demon into the ground. Again, there was something unreal about her, about how her so gentle gestures caused her snake-like whips to inflict great damage without much effort at all.
Instead of saying anything once the last demon was slain, she just looked up to the man, her whips recoiling into her hands and turning back into the long black staff with a lantern atop it. Hm. There was something odd about him. Finally, her lush black lips parted, and she spoke in a soft elusive manner:
"What makes you, human?"
One who knows nothing, can understand nothing.
