Most have fled into bomb shelters and basements with supplies and small radios.
The apocalypse has happened.
Global warming has taken full effect on the world, Major climate change has occured.
Tornados, fires, hurricanes, waterspouts, dust devils and extreme cold and hot are now everyday events.
Most people are locked up in their basements cowereing for their lives, not careing about others.
But these brave men and women........
Have a job to do.

A large convoy of ambulances and fire engines plowed through the streets, Survivors were the number one priority, the goverment couldent help, it was shattered. Ever since DC got hit the gov. has been splintered.
National guard is doing the best they can, no avail.
Men and women and even children die everyday in their own homes.
Tornados are common in new york state and so are Freeze overs (A time of such extreme cold that the air around you freezes, even in your lungs and kills you)
And its the same in all Northern states.
In the south Extreme heat is common, water boils and humans die of heat stroke and dehydration.
Dust devils plague the deserts (Giant sandstorms turned F5 tornado)
And water spouts and hurricanes are all common in deep water.
All communications with Europe and others have been lost.
Australia has been hit with 5 hurricanes this week and survivors have fled into the center.
The tall man flicked of the TV with his remote .
He turned around and walked into the gear room of NYC Fire dep. and geared up for his long job ahead.
"Were going now." The tall man said.
"To where?" A firefighter said.
"I dont know."
"But it has to be better then here." He said
"Gear up everyone." the tall man said

Bio: Has been a tactical search and rescue Firefighter for 7 yrs now, knows some medical training but Is better with breaching with an axe and rescue, always dreamed of rescueing the girl of his dreams from a fire.
He did.... but. This natural disaster bullshit killed her and her whole family.
He is determined not to let that happen to anyone else.

Tony carries his fire extinguisher on his back, as well as his standard helmet and uniform with extra padding to protect against the bitter cold. He has a gas mask and an oxygen tank, partly because of the dangers of dealing with the smoke and partly because of the chemicals in the now-unstable environment. He also carries a fire axe.
Appearance;;
Tony stands at around 5'11", possibly slightly more. He is fairly slim, but has broad shoulders and a somewhat muscled torso from his years of training and breaking in and out of burning buildings. Tony has dark hair and brown eyes and is usually smiling despite the odds. His skin is mostly pale, but he has several burn marks, the worst of which is on the side of his face. It is just beneath his right eye, and he was very fortunate that the burning wood caught him there, because a few centimetres higher and he could have lost his sight. As it is, his eye is fine but his cheek is marked forever.
Personality And Bio;;
Tony originally comes from northern England, but when he was 16, his family moved to New York. Since he was very young, Tony had a fascination with the emergency services - as a toddler he loved the flashing blue lights and the sirens and, like most young boys, wanted to be a part of that from a young age.
For Tony, that wish never changed. Apart from a brief stint of wanting to be in the army, he was fixed upon being in a career where he could help people. When he moved to America, his hopes of being part of the British army were gone and he focussed instead on his other career choice of being either a policeman or a fire fighter.
Eventually, Tony chose to train as a fireman, and excelled in the early stages of his training. He was fit, strong, and willing to take risks, all of which were attributes that greatly helped him in his chosen career.
When he was twenty, the accident happened where he could have lost his eye. Luckily, this was avoided, and he was quickly back at work, but he was now a little more wary and took greater care in his actions.
In 2012, Tony decided not to go into hiding with his family and instead stuck with his colleagues in NYC. He wanted to carry on helping people, a decision which broke his mother's heart, because she believed that she would never see him again. Tony also had a young wife who was pregnant with his second child - their eldest son is five years old. He didn't want to see his dad go.
Tony almost changed his mind, but all that changed when disaster struck and the apocalypse snatched his wife and parents away. At their death, Tony left his elderly parents and threw everything he had into the rescue mission. However, his five year old son was still alive with nowhere else to go, so Tony has had to bring him with him. The boy is aware of the danger and does whatever his father tells him, but sometimes Tony regrets his decision as he knows that it could mean the death of his son.

i have aquestion, can i be a person in my home, who then decides to join the fire department?
A really annoying kid told me this cheesy joke and I changed it up on him. It goes:
Person: You ever wonder why pyschos don't ask you your name?
Me: They don't. They kill you and laugh as they watch you die in pain.

Gear: All the usual equiptment of a firefighter, axe, fire extinguisher and air tanks, the standard firefighter coat and the overalls underneath with the extra insulation against the cold and a hemet.
Appearance: Looking at Claire you wouldnt realise she was a figherfighter, there is not much about her appearence that you would recognise as relating to physical strength. At about 5 foot 6 she has a small build and slightly muscular. She has long straight dark chocolate brown hair and a pale complection. Claire has a pretty face with green eyes that are filled with the kind of determination required for this kind of job.
Bio: Claire has always wanted to be a firefighter since she was a little girl. The main reason behind this being that her father was a firefighter. A strict man who wanted a son and not a daughter so that they could follow in his footsteps. Claire set out to be a firefighter to prove him wrong and that she is as good as any of the guys on the force. This is where her determination comes from and even though she has only been on the force a few short years she has started to prove her place and to get past all the ridicules of being a girl and of being the daughter of a fireman.
Claire has no family, her mother dying in childbirth and her father dying when she was 20 while on the job. Claire knows first hand what a mistake in this kind of job can do so she takes the safty of herself and others very seriously
