I was torn between posting this here or in the Discussion/Debate forum as the Music forum's description asked if I was a budding musician, etc. (no, I'm not ... not close) and this is not such a topic. I ended up putting it here because, well, I don't know if there'd be much discussion.

Anywho, is anyone here a fan of the Arctic Monkeys? I know like two people offline who like them ... including me. I just woud like to say that I lurve them! My goodness, the first song I ever heard from them was Brianstorm like a year ago and I just loved it so looked them up and was introduced to a brand new world! I love their music; they sing with their accents, which I just adore. It's crazy when somebody has like a southern accent and then sings with an english one (I've heard/seen it). They're just not like that.

I'd have to say my favourite songs include .. a lot .. but I like Bigger Boys and Stolen Sweethearts, Mardy Bum, Riot Van, Space Invaders, When the Sun Goes Down, Fluorescent Adolescent, their cover of Baby, I'm Yours, and the list continues -- they litter my ipod and I love it. Huge Fan ... although if I saw one of them on the streets I wouldn't be the wiser - but musicians are meant to be heard, not seen anyway.

They have come to Canada I think once and that was before I joined the fan base, and they were in other provinces that weren't my own anyway. I think they're in Australia at the moment? But yeah ... are there any other fans on here and if so, what's your favourite song from them?

I've only heard Brianstorm so far, and I really liked its ridiculously fast-paced drumming. Not to mention the music video was psychedelic.

I've never actually seen that video. I've seen like one and a half videos (When the Sun Goes Down and half of I Bet That You Look Good on the Dance Floor)a nd those were both my accident. I never actually searched their videos. But yes, I love the drumming - it's fantastic in all their songs, I think. I <3 them :]

Has to be a tie between Fluorescent Adolescent and D is for Dangerous, although the majority of their songs are top-notch.

Fantastic! I was into both those songs when I first .. obtained them. I really have taken a liking to Leave Before the Lights Come On and Red Light Indicates Doors Are Secure (long titles!) and of course, Temptation Greets You Like A Naughty Friend - I love the little english accent rappy part. Lovely :]

Also: is your (Chaon) signature (the second part) from Hamlet? I enjoyed that play even when having to rush through reading it for the English deadline. It was marvelous.
