Ratty leaned forwards a little as the plane took off, not really interested, but curious despite herself. Looking out of the window, she was taken completely by surprise as a smallish girl in glasses flung herself across the plane, and across Ratty. She yelped and flustered, slightly disturbed by how little attention she was getting from someone sitting on her, as the smaller girl leaned across her to see out of the window. Anyone looking at them would have said Ratty was much the older, but inside, she knew better. Like always, she put it out of her mind. That wasn't, after all, difficult whilst trying to deal with somebody spontaneously arriving on one's lap.
"Hey!" she exclaimed after some non-verbal objection, "Mind where you're kneeling!"

Noelle turned to the girl and rolled her eyes. She placed her hands on her own face and concentrated until she had turned herself three times less her normal size. She was around the size of a cat now.

Noelle giggled and climbed onto the girl, pressing her face against the better. "Is that better?" She asked. Noelle turned away from the window and stared at the girl. "Whats your name? You look like a rat. You've got hair on your body," She said as she jumped onto the girls lap.

Despite her rather depressed mood, Ratty could not help but giggle in delight as the girl shrunk.
"Wow!" she exclaimed, then to answer the question, "You're not half as heavy now!"
"Whats your name? You look like a rat. You've got hair on your body," the now-miniature girl asked. Ratty was slightly taken aback by the stream of words, but in a way, she appreciated the attention.
"I... I'm Ratty." she said awkwardly, "I like rats...." she'd nearly introduced herself by her old name, and it stung that she still so automatically reached for the person they'd tried to make her into. She took refuge in the obvious abnormality of the situation, with a girl who could shrink sitting on her lap commenting on her fur.

"Rats are disgusting," Noelle said but shrugged. "I guess that's okay though. As logn as you don't carry any diseases," She said as she climbed down the girl's leg and onto the floor where she dropped her glasses accidentally. Frantically, she searched for the glasses until she spotted them. Without these glasses Noelle wasn't sure if she could do anything and being in this state of size that wasn't something that she wanted to test out. She quickly tapped the lenses of her thick, black glasses as she regained her size.

Ratty laughed a little at the suggestion she might be carrying diseases, but she didn't really feel up to it. She wasn't sure how she felt about having small people climbing down her legs, but she guessed she couldn't complain. She watched with mild interest as the girl grabbed her glasses of the floor and tapped on them, regaining her size and looking slightly flustered. It was a little inconvenient having a full-sized someone trying to occupy the same area as her, but Ratty didn't really mind.
"Are you alright?" she inquired.

Noelle nodded, "Yeah." She looked around and grinned a bit evily. She tapped her glasses five times while she stared directly at Ratty, shrinking her down to the size of an average rat. "I like you better this way," She said happily as she picked her up and slid her into her pants pocket. "Now you can be my doll," She said giggling to herself as she made her way back to her seat by Nathaniel. She pulled Ratty out of her pocket and held her up.

Ratty gaped in astonishment and shock as the world around her seemed to expand. She was scared stiff by the grinning figure who was evidently in control of this, but she found her next words and actions oddly comforting.
"I like you better this way," Ratty was picked up, squeaking a little, and put in a pocket. It was a little tight for comfort, but it was nice and warm, and she curled up.
"Now you can be my doll," Nothing really sounded better to the tired shape-shifter than to let go of that responsibility for a bit. Being an animal doll in somebody's pocket didn't sound too bad, after all. Maybe there were even crumbs she could eat. She uncurled a little and sniffed in the poorly lit space, looking for something to restore some of her energy.

Noelle pulled Ratty up out of her pocket and threw her up into the air, catching her by her legs. Noelle giggled as she swung her upside down for a minute and then placed her on her lap. Noelle rummaged through one of her bags and pulled out her babydoll's clothes. She increaed Ratty's size a bit before sliding the new clothes onto her. She giggled at the sight of Ratty dressed up in infants clothes but she wouldn't change her back. Atleast not yet.

Ratty yelled as she was snatched up. The instincts and reactions instilled in everyone by living in the world caused her to react initially as if in pain at the rough way in which she was being handled, but to her surprise it was not nearly as bad as she would have expected. Had she had time to think, she might have concluded that it was due to her being a lot lighter now, but being tossed in the air is not conducive to logical thought. She shrieked in mingled fear and an odd exhileration, completely unaware of how high-pitched she sounded to the rest of the world.
"Stop it!" she yelped as she was dangled upside-down, but either the girl ignored it, or she didn't hear.
She didn't resist the dressing up, though it wasn't exactly dignified. Her head was reeling and she was, for the most part, almost as floppy as a real doll. There was a slight pause when all the doll clothes were on her, and she struggled to sit up on the girl's knee. She tried to object, but she couldn't come up with anything suitable for the bizarre situation, and simply ended up stuttering squeakily.

Noelle giggled and picked Ratty up, holding her eye level to herself. "Now it's time to play a game. I'll be the mom and you'll be my kid and if you do anything bad then.. well.. you'll see," She said happily. "Okay?" She asked as she stood up and walked with Ratty to the back of the plane where there was an empty row. She sat down and increased Ratty's size so that she was around two feet tall and she could be heard.

Ratty blinked around her confusedly. She wasn't sure she liked the sound of this game, but she wasn't going to object.
"O-okay..." she stuttered, still staring around trying to get used to the sudden size changes. A thought struck her, she couldn't really keep thinking of the girl as 'the girl'. Especially not when she was so much bigger.
"Uh, what should I call you?" she asked awkwardly.

"Noelle," Noelle replied happily as she picked up Ratty. She slowly walked around the back of the plane until she found a cardboard box. She pulled off the lid and increased the size so that it was taller than Ratty herself. She dropped Ratty inside and carried the box back to her seat. "Now stay in there and play," She said giggling. She knew that she wouldn't be able to keep Ratty as her toy but she would keep her for as long as she could.

"Ouch!" Ratty complained as she was dropped into the box. She was heavier now, but it still didn't really hurt. It was just rather undignified, and she felt silly. She didn't know what to make of an order to 'play', and not much occurred to her to play inside a large box. The only thing she could think of was to try and shut it. So she got up and tried to reach the flaps of the top of the box. It was almost out of her reach, but she thought that, given time, she could get all the flaps shut. She rapidly forgot why she was even doing that, absorbing herself in the simple task. It didn't seem so bad, really. The box was quite warm too.

Noelle smiled at how her "doll" was listening.
"Ratty, you're gonna be my doll forever," She announced as she pulled the box into her seat row and placed it on the seat next to her, pulling the flaps open and picking Ratty out of the box. She was now a foot shorter than Noelle, around the height of an average 4 year old.
"Are ya hungry?" Noelle asked as she picked up the small package of plane crackers that they had handed out.

As one of the airplane workers passed Noelle pushed Ratty under the seat and put her own hands behind her back because she had taken her handcuffs off. She smiled up at the woman and she passed by wihtout noticing anything. Noelle quickly pulled Ratty back out and smiled, "Now answer me. Are ya hungry?"

Ratty had been slightly alarmed by the announcement of "Ratty, you're gonna be my doll forever," but the next question, "Are ya hungry?" grabbed her attention. As soon as she was given the chance to reply, she nodded eagerly.
"Yes," she said, "I'm very hungry, uh, please?" She stared hungrily at the small packet, nostrils flaring to try and scent the food through it's plastic wrapper. She was momentarily grateful for being small, becuase it meant that the food seemed bigger to her. She hadn't eaten since.... a long time. Well before the airport, and she'd struggled and shape-changed for a bit in panic, expending a lot of energy.

Noelle tore open the package of cracker and spilt them on the floor of the box.
"There," She said happily as she dropped Ratty inside the box. Ratty was very strange in Noelle's eyes except Noelle liked the idea of having a pet, especially one that listened and couldn't hurt her. Noelle knew it wouldn't be that hard to just keep Ratty and tell everyone else that she escaped or something stupid like that.
