That's right, ladies and gentleman! A challenger has arrived! Me! More rather, my character, Gen!
This is an open battle, so please, step right up!

THIS CAN EITHER BE A FIGHT TO THE DEATH, OR UNTIL ONE SURRENDERS. Being the courteous host I am, you may decide the setting.

ABOUT GEN!

Short summary: Gen is a 13-year-old boy, but do not let his age fool you. He has been a mentor to swordsmen decades older because of his intense skill. He uses a white, ivory sword to do his duelings. He is beyond his years.
This is Gen's past. When Gen was 12, he realized his life was intensely boring. He wanted to make the best of the years he was given as a human. So, he rose, trained himself with self-developed sword technique, and was ready to become a hero. Though, there was a price. Gen left his single mother with a kiss and a goodbye, wanting to travel and become a legend in the world. He had a keen young spirit wanting to banish all evil. Lesson one: do not underestimate him just because he is a child.
Leaving his home, Gen came upon a village which was being terrified by an evil clan of people. Single-handedly, he took them down, and became known as, "that hero". No one ever learned Gen's name, but they knew who he was. Lesson two: he is good and will not harm without a reason, so this probably means that your character will have to be apart of some evil.
His personality is geeky, kind, caring, forgiving, and almost motherly. He could be described as a savior. His heart strings are easily pulled, and can even be drawn to a villain in pain, willing to aid them. Though, he's also seriously a nerd. Braces, glasses, and freckles are his features.
Height: 4"11
Weight: 105 lb.
His interests are indie-gaming on the Internet, collecting CDs, travelling, and helping others. He enjoys baking, especially cookies and tarts.

Cool, I'll bite.

I'll be using Az. For the sake of this battle he will be armed with nothing but a double-ended bladed trident. He will have none of his rage related powers for the sake of fairness. Essentially, angry guy armed with a fancy trident.

I take it we're talking T1 rules (no autohitting, no godmoding etc)?
Az can pick a fight real easy.
Anywhere is fine for the location, so I'll let you post first and choose it if you want.

OOC: Alrighty~ Az sounds like a pretty cool guy. And yes, I believe that would make things a bit easier for Gen XD
Yes, T1 rules.
Mkay, I'll begin then~

Wandering along the lining of a beach shore, Gen moseyed down, leaving a trail of footprints. Though, those footprints were soon stolen by the crashing tides. The air was warm and comfortable, and it was fitting for the sunsetting coat of sky. Not a single cloud was seen at that seemingly perfect moment. For soon, a bloodshed would happen in this paradise setting.
Anyhow, Gen kept walking, because he was supposed to meet up with a man for a fight. Gen, being the moralized boy he is, would not turn down a fight if requested. (OOC: Haha, sorry, I'm not sure if that's some kind of GM, I apologize if it is :c) His sword was strapped behind his back and ready for the duel. He looked up into the sky, wind ruffling his always straight hair. He pushed up the bridge of his glasses so he could see the beautiful hue of sky better. This moment was soothing and subtle. Despite Gen seeming unfocused in this relaxing moment, it would only take a flick of a wrist for Gen to grab his sword and ready himself for battle.

Az stomped down the beach side, trident in hand, one end dragging behind him drawing a line in the sand. He was predictably furious, look on his face a look of utter contempt for anything that might get in his way. He was angry at the water for being so cold, he was hateful of the sand for getting in his face and he really didn't like the shells that kept stabbing at his feet as he walked.

And then he saw something that was about to make his day so much worse. Another god damn person.

Snatching up his trident in both hands he storms forth. "What the hell do you think you're doing on my god damn beach!" he bellows at the top of his lungs, making sure the other guy could hear him. For a scrawny guy he sure could shout. A hand raises up to shove his glasses up his nose, glare passing over Gen. A dumb kid. God damn he hated kids so much.

"H-Hh-?!" Gen breathed out, swiftly turning at the clearly rageful male. Gen's eyes were wide for a momentum, but then they changed back to their normal size. Gen, being the kind fellow he is, made an apologetic expression and sighed. "I'm so sorry for being on your beach, but there really isn't another place to go..!" Gen lightly exclaimed, trying to get this situation to make sense. Gen winced at the sight of the man also being armed with a dangerous piece of weaponry, which is clearly capable of killing. Then again, says the boy with the sword strapped on his back. Gen did a full optical scan of this man, noting his height and appearence carefully. Though, one thing for sure, is that he was angry. Enraged. Furious. Antagonized. Irascible. Yes, Gen is a vocabulary-meister.
"There's nothing I can do about it." Gen hopelessly shrugged, standing his ground and being completely stationary.

Did they-? Oh that was it. If they weren't moving Az would make them move. He draws up his trident and marches forth with a dangerous determination in his eyes. It was simple, his movements, slowly covering the distance between the two with deliberate steps, his trident held to one side like a spear. If the distance was allowed to be closed he would strike, drawing his trident back to his right before stepping his right foot forwrd and thrusting the three bladed tips for the gut of his opponent.

It was a surprisingly cautious position, his right knee remaining bent with less weight than it seemed, ready to quickly shove himself backwards with his foot if something dangerous happened to strike from somewhere unexpected.

With senses warning Gen before he could think, Gen gasped and jumped back, barely avoiding the trident's tips of death. The fighter within Gen rose out into the surface at the moment, provoking Gen to draw his sword from the strap on his back. He clenched the ivory deliverer of justice, his sword, with both hands on the handle, holding it so tightly that his knuckles turned white.
"You seem like the kind who won't be satisfied without a fight..." murmured Gen to himself, thinking for a second.

Gen suddenly hasted at the man, sword suddenly over his shoulders as if he were about to bat in softball. Gen's agile feet created jumpy footprints on the beach's sand. When he arrived in striking distance near the man, he cut his brand clean-through the air, aiming so it could hit at the man's jugular. "AUGH!" Gen groaned out as he swung his weapon.

As Gen charged to strike Az swept one end of his trident up to match the side the sword was on. He moves his blade, waiting for the swing before thrusting out the upper end of his trident to intersect the ivory sword with the multiple prongs. He would drop one foot forward, planting it into the ground and using a solid base to halt the swords initial momentum, then twist both his body and trident around away from his opponent, attempting to pull the ivory blade away from its owner by jerking the tip sideways. Regardless, if the sword was caught in the trident Az would quickly move to trap it by twisting the shaft, making the sword unable to move left, right or down.

Gen's grip on the sword's handle was extremely tight, and he had the right amount of strength to keep it in his hands. His hand on the handle budged a few centimeters, but the grip was intense. Gen emitted a low growl from his throat, positioning a foot behind himself to keep steady and balanced. He swiped his brand upwards, releasing it from the clutch of the prongs, and regaining free motion once more. He swiftly hopped to Az's side, skillfully maneuvering around in the delicate sand. He then raised his arms into the air, both hands on the handle of the sword. With his sword at a high height, Gen quickly slashed the brand, aiming to cut clean across Az's eyes. If the attack were to hit, it would blind Az.

Az jerks around to the side, sweeping the lower end of his trident so that the shaft would clash with the blade, forming a slight incline to encourage the force to go downwards rather than just stop. He steps so his body is practically side on with his opponent, then swings the right end inwards for his opponents face, using the sword as pivotting point to wield the trident around, trying to keep it in the center of the weapons shaft. The bladed ends were aiming to slash at the forehead, with a priority on drawing blood around or above the eyebrows. Usually wounds there could bleed into the eyes.
