So Satyl was her name? That wasn't so hard to remember Saaya thought to herself.
All I ever do is wish things were different.
This envy is destroying me..
and it is obvious.

Alatair nodded, resuming his calm self. He would have to remember to grow slower to frustrate. He turned to the last Initiate and pointed to her. "Please state your name and exact reason for joining the Assasin Brotherhood." He placed his hands behind his back and waited for an answer.

Saaya pleased to have been asked said: "I go by Saaya. I came here to join the Brotherhood, and protect the Holy Land. I can master the art of kill." she paused to pass a smirk. "I'm a quick learner. I do as I'm told, and won't ever let you down, Master..." She trailed of, knowing there was nothing left to say.

After hearing from all three Initiates, Altair turned around to consider their words. After a length of time had passed, he turned around. "You all show promise, but you must know that there is more than just killing that goes into being an assassin. You must abide by the Assassin's Creed, which is what we live by. It is constructed of three Tenets, and I shall recite them for you." He held up one finger. "Tenet one, stay your blade from the flesh of an innocent. We are assassins, not killers, and part of our existence is to ensure peace, in all things. Mindless murder breeds none of that." He held up a second finger. "Tenet two, hide in plain sight. Let the people mask you such that you become one with the crowd. Do not be seen until after the kill, and even after, keep your visibility low. A single act breeds many things across this land, and I do not wish to see an Assassin die by the sword of a guard or otherwise." He held up a third finger. 'The third and most important Tenet, never compromise the brotherhood. You should never bring harm upon us, direct or indirect." He paused, then took on a serious expression. "Do you understand these Tenets, and why they make up the Assassin's Creed?" He asked, looking into each of their eyes.

Saaya nodded. She understood she had been accepted into the creed. So now it was her duty to serve. She unfolded and folded her finger's, patiently awaiting her first task. She will her best, just as Satyl had said.

Altair sensed that each one of them understood the Creed. He stepped back a bit. "OK, then. There is another thing that you must know if you are joining our Order. We Assassins have a saying, "Nothing is true and everything is permitted". Though these words may seem simple to understand, I warn you not to take them at face value. In time, I trust that you will find the true meaning of these words." He turned away and waited approximately three minutes to give them time to absorb and understood fully everything he hadjust said. He thn returned. "It is now time to begin the Initiation, and see if you truly wish to become a member of our Order." He turned to a pair of wooden double doors that stood to the left of the room. "Bring forth the prisoner!" He called. There was a moment and two Assassin soldiers came through the doors clutching a beggar. They forced him to the ground and held him. "Do not be deceived by his apearance," Altair warned the Initiates. "This man is a con artst, not a beggar. He would routinely pickpocket people by staggering around the city and pickpocketing them when their backs were turned. I call him a con artist because he used his get-up to make people believe he was harmless and not be worried about him. Sometimes, he would even turn tomurder if it meant etting a bit of coin. He had all ready murdered five people before we caught him attempting to rob the people of Mayaf. is name is Windsor Oxberry, and he hails from Acre." Windsor had a terrified look on his face, knowing that he would die in this room. He turned to Satyl. "Bring forth the weapons," he called offhandedly. A third soldier walked forward, carrying both a long sword, and the gauntlet that held the Hidden Blade. "Choose one of these weapons to xecute Windsor and gain admission into our ranks. Remember, however, that one of these weapons demands a cost from you. Choose the weapon that you wish." He stepped back and waited for her to make her choice.

Satyl considered it for a moment. She then stepped forward and took the long sword. She lifted the sword and then swiftly brought it down, almost completely taking off the man's head.

Altair nodded as the con artist fell dead upon the ground. The two soldiers dragged him from the room, leaving a blood trail. "Very well, Satyl. You have gained admission into our ranks and will now carry the title of Apprentice." He turned to Saaya. "Now it is your turn." He called in another prisoner. This one did not look like a beggar. In fact, he was the exact opposite. "Taran Turkhonisti, a noble from Damascus. He was profiting from the suffering of his people, and charging outlandish fines to support his own lavish style. My original plan was for him to be executed in Damascus, but I figured his life would be better taken in the Initiation ceremony." The same soldier who had armed Satyl grabbed another long sword and stood before Saaya. "Now, then, choose your weapon." He could hear Taran whimpering and begging for his life, but he gave him a deaf ear.

Saaya contemplated in her head. She would pay the sacrifice. She stepped forward and placed the hand on the hidden blade, with a brave face. She knew what was expected. She was to lose her ring finger on her left hand. She waited for Altair to do that rest.

Altair nodded. "Very well. Are you sure you want to do this?" He always gave Initiates one chance to back out. Accepting the Hidden Blade was not a simple task, and involved pain. More than once, he had seen an Initiate pass out. When he had done it, it had been an excrutiating, throbbing pain. So, by no means was it as simple as choosing a weapon. He regarded herwith a calm stare, waiting for her to make a final decision.

Saaya nodded once. "Yes, I'm sure." She gave one last brave smile for what was awaiting her next. The pain would hit her soon, She was sure not to pass out. She had dealt with pain before, how hard could this be.

Altair nodded and stepped over to a small table in the corner of the room. "Which hand do you choose to be the one that carries the Hidden Blade?" He asked.

Altair nodded. He took the ring finger and held it out. He also held her hand, just to make sure it didn't shake and make the cut sloppy. He took the short blade from its sheath and had a large rag nearby to quickly wrap around her hand and prevent her from bleeding to death. He brought the blade down quickly, severing the finger just below the knuckle. Blood immediately began to gush and he quickl wrapped her entire hand. It was quickly dyed red, but at least she wouldn't bleed out. "Very well. Take a few minutes to let the pain ease and then you may use the Hidden Blade and complete your Initiation." He walked back up to the balcony and surveyed the scene.

Saaya winched at the pain. It strung like nothing she had every felt before. She did all in her power not to scream out in pain as Altair finished up. Her hand felt numb. She sucked a breath through her teeth. It was over. She let out a sign. She stepped back, holding the cloth close to her body and covered her now hand that was caked with blood.

Altair nodded, understanding the pain she was feeling. "Whenever you're ready, you may begin." He turned over and saw that Taran's eyes were bugging out.He was shaking, as well. It was enough to make Altair almost feel bad for him, but considering how selfish he had been, he deemed it only right.

Saaya felt her face fading color. She played with her right hand. Opening it and closing it. Feeling the pain renew each time. She felt the cold, hard blade. "wow." when you subsided the pain, the feeling of the blade was amazing. As weird as it might sound, she loved it.

00C: I'm sorry. I'll get right to it.

Saaya stepped behind the second prisoner, experimenting with her new hidden blade, she pulled his head back with his hair, and slide the blade neatly in his throat. Causing a shower of blood. She stepped back leaving the rest to Altair..

Altair nodded in approval. "Well done. You have proven your devotion to the Assassin Order." He turned to a soldier and waved his hand t Howard Haron. The soldier stood before Haron, holding both a long sword and the Hidden Blade. "Bring forth the prisoner!" Altair called. The wooden double doors opened for a third time and the same two soldiers dragged in a third prisoner. It was a knight.

Altair cleared his throat and turned to Haron. "This man is William Harvax, a former member of the Knights Hospitalier. He was a friend of Garnier de Naplouse, and continues the sick work of that madman. Luckily, an Assassin caught him before he claimed a single victim. Now, Haron, execute this man and earn your place in the Assassin Order." He stood with his hands behind his back and waited.
