I drew this so many months ago and just discovered it in one of my folders. What do you think? I'm just starting with art, and this is one of my personal best efforts at drawing or sketching something. I'm awful at drawing/sketching humans, so a few tips would be greatly appreciated(: I can only draw flowers, animals and abstract. Also- Can someone (Preferably a artist, obviously) give me a few beginner tips?

Anyways, it looks nice, what I can see it. Do you have a more clearer version of the photo - or one that shows the entire thing? From what I can see, the stem and leaves look fairly intricate, and I'm loving the color ..

The more I can see of it, the better.

I love the way you've done the rose in different shades of red for each section. I'm no artist so I couldn't really give you any tips but I do really like it.

Try painting one next :P It gets even harder! I tried it once, though I'm not sure what became of it D=. Keep up the good work ^^

Oh I like it! It looks great! better than the last rose I tried to draw. O.O
As for tips, when drawing people, it has helped me to look at a picture of a person (usually anime) and either try to duplicate it exactly or just to draw mine in the same position, but add different details. It is good to have something to look at for reference and, in my opinion, makes it easier to get it right.

I agree 100%! I think that when you have a reference you strive more towards making it perfect, so you're most likely going to fix a mistake as soon as you see one. Thanks for commenting! (:

Haha, thanks(: I actually cheated. I drew it during class when I was bored. My pencil case has a design similar to that, so I used it as a reference. Naughty, naughty. xP.

I think it's a really good rose. I think what would make it better is if you put it on a piece of computer paper and made it more gradient.
