It has been 30 years since Aang, the last airbender and Avatar, saved the planet from Sozen's comet [?], and the crown prince Zuko became head of the fire nation and aided in restoring balance to the world. Since then, the Air Nation has been rebuilt and all seems at peace. But in the past three months, Azula has been sighted in the far reaching corners of the Fire Nation Kingdom. Disaster is once again at hand, but the next Avatar has yet to be determined, for with Aang, the pattern was broken. Now, eight young benders; two from each nation, have been gathered and sent out around the world to determine which one of them is the Avatar. But, is there really only one?

Element: Water

Personality: Loreios is a sober and level-headed teen who winks a lot. He tries to see the balance in all situations, and make life a level playing field. He tries not to fight unless necessary, but when he does, he's a force to be reconed with. Loreios prefers negotiation, but isn't afraid to make threats. The problem is, he backs them up.

Extra Talent: Loreios is a master at finding and manipulating water in any place. Much like Hana showed Katara how to do with the Fire Lilies or the swamp benders.

Personality: She is quiet, lituarally. She can't speak what so ever. It has been that way since she was born. Her mother was holding her and Mia was crying, but no sound came out. Besides the speaking disablity, she is very smart and fun loving.

Extra Talent: She can paint very well and does all the time. She always has paint, a brush, and paper in her bag.

Personality: In addition to his heritage being of the Fire Nation, Zhang also has a firey temper. He is quick to feel an insult and retaliates with a quick burn or two. He can be a pompous ass, letting everyone who doesn't care know how he's the first son of the top military family of the Fire Nation, and (distantly) connected to Admiral Zhao himself. But if someone manages to look past the temper and pompousness, Zhang can be sweet. He's a regular guy who puts up fronts of being tough, because he was raised that way.

Extra Talent: Zhang doesn't like to admit it, but he is a very talented story-dancer (where dancers tell stories through movement and firebending), and preforms with a small troupe from time to time.

Personality: Cold and sometimes synical. Tends to be fliratious in her own dry wit sort of way

Personality: Cui is a normally quite girl, she can also be a tad bit cocky.

Extra Talent: She has the balance of a cat.

Personality: Benrai is quiet but not shy. He will talk to you if he has something to say. He's a bit anti-social, preferring his solitude. He's intelligent, and he likes to think things through thoroughly before he acts. Though he is fiercely loyal to those few he calls friends, he doesn't like to show it.

Extra Talent: None that he knows of.

Personality: Shy, cares about people, loves to fly, loves fun and happiness, is usually optimistic

Well, since your character is currently mute, why not communicate through the tones transferred in water. Almost like waterglasses, but slightly more manipulatable and refined.
