Earth is being invaded by the Chilognatha(AKA The Swarm): large Insectoid beings with long lithe bodies and eight arm/legs (each one ending in claw like hand, equally suited for detail work or use as a foot), covered with chitinous shells and wicked spikes. They're technology is biological in nature. They have a variety of biomechanical (meaning Biological parts used to build mechanical objects, not metal and organic mixed)mechs in various shapes and sizes, that are used for battle as well as various other biotech for every aspect of life.
(If you have any questions about what sort of things can be made Biologically simply ask.)

They are an intelligent race, formed into a caste system. The Worker class: maintenance, Piloting (of mechs and jets), and various other jobs; they are medium size(usually 3 meters long) and are suited to a variety of tasks and are rated 2nd in intelligence. The Warrior class: Hard Labor, Hand to hand combat, and weapons experts; they are largest in size (usually 4 meters long) with scorpion-like stingers on the end of their tails and claws that could crush a mans head, they are primarily suited towards combat related tasks and are rated 3rd in intelligence. The Controller class: Management, Research/Science, and Stealth/Recon mission; they are smallest in size (usually 2 meters long ) and in charge of all operations at the highest level, they are suited towards primarily intellectual and exploratory tasks and are 1st in intelligence and are the only class to have wings (large dragonfly wings)

The Humans however are not to be left in the dust. They have been hard at work killing each other before the aliens got here. To show for all their hard work they have the latest mechs: Large bipedal metal structures, designed to imitate human movement. They are a fearsome combat force, able to use large scale versions of hand-held weapons. They humans also possess the usual human might, but for some reason when the aliens landed all nuclear weapons and power sources stopped working, something to do with a field given off by the mothership.

RULES

Attacking an enemy is perfectly acceptable, but it is considered bad RP etiquette to attack an offline person. Friendly fire is also bad etiquette.

Remember you can declare an attack but you can't decide whether or not it lands. Only a DM of this thread or the person being attacked can decide if the hit lands. but don't make yourself invincible. You are not a god. This is a game, make it fun.

If you die, too bad, just make a new character.

And remember the DMs have the last word.

History: Always interested in mechs as a kid, Richard wanted to join the army, to fight in these strange armored units. When he joined up, he showed the ability to pilot these new fighting machines, and so, he was assigned to a tactical battle group to fight in future wars. However, the Aliens came down, changing those plans. Richard then made a vow. "I will... Capture the alien technology, and drive them off the world!

Appearance:(couldn't find a pic) Shoulder length red hair, khaki pants and light camo shirt. Green eyes.
Position: Physicist, Engineer. Researches captured aliens and their weapons, and is very knowledgeable about the universe, planets and alien life. Can also fix broken weapons and machinery.
History: Always obsessed with things unknown or different, Ruby jumped at the chance to encounter alien life, and fight them. She was a simple scientist in the eyes of her military family, and it looking to prove she can save Earth.
Equipment/Vehicles: Hand-held computer, (size of hand, operated with pen) small pistol, and engineering tools. Also has a autopsy kit, molecule/particule scanner for her computer, and her trusty camera.

Position: Air Marshal
History: Always liked the Air Force, his father was a pilot for aeroflot, and he has wanted to fly since he was young. But he became a Marine Russian Air Force instead of a pilot(Which included carriers by then). Now, he's quite high up in the ranks, but never has gotten to fly on combat missions.
Equipment/Vehicles: The Russian Air Force Carrier Kuznetsov. (Flying Aircraft Carriers?)
A Makarov PM pistol, and a set of Powered Armor with a 20mm Railgun.(Not used much, a holdover from his days as a Marine.)

No oyu did that wrong the Chilognathan don't have male and female genders, their genders are Warrior, worker, or controller. your appearance is what defining features you have that separate you from the others of the controller Gender. for example, a human would say blue eyes brown hair etc. a Chilognathan would say if they had particularly long legs or wings, or if the tail ended in any particular shape, or the aspect ratios of the head, any coloured markings that sort of thing.

Appearance: Controller Chilognatha, His body is slender and smooth making him rather on the small side of his particular breed. His form is very graceful and lithe, his coloring tan print with blue trimming accross his wings, and blue spots from his thorax down to his abdomin.
Position: Covert ops, intellegence, research.
History: Zorak was actually rather privileged in his youth. He later had a falling out with his superiors and got demoted to a field position. He intends to improve his situation in the field
Equipment/Vehicles: Always bettering himself, and always hungry for knowledge, he uses Chilognathan pistol, but can use most of their weapons to some effect. Quad walker, he is working on a new concept for a more mobile varation. He constantly changes his tools however, and is always attempting to learn new skills.
Personality: Zorak is clever, intelegent, and patient. He takes pride and care in the tasks he sets out to do, and ultimatly he is devoted to his hive and the better ment of his race, and his self. His is combat oriented and very aggressive, but prefers to use the warriors and workers to protect him as well as mask his presence in covert missions. He is not by any means of the word a coward, he is quite the contrary, he just has more of an understanding of war, and is considered rather weird amoung is peers. (mad scientist)

Name: Ræd (sounds [Coincidentally] like Raid)
Race: Chilognatha
Gender: Warrior
Appearance: Ræd has a similar build to the average warrior. The exceptions are that it only has one stinger, that is the one on the end of it’s tail, Ræd’s two front arms do not have claws, he has long scythe like blades (apart of him, overgrown bone), and the set of arms under that have hands made for rapid digging. Ræd has a large red burn scar that runs down It’s face and onto part of the left side of it’s body.
Position: Destroyer of Chilognatha enemies
History: Ræd is an experimental biologically altered Chilognatha warrior. It's abilities are more than the scientist’s original hopes, but they have yet to biologically engineer a mentally sound warrior. Ræd's inability to speak it’s own language (although Ræd understands it perfectly), and It’s love for destruction have caused the warrior’s superiors to keep It on a very short leash. Most of the time It is contained within a prison cell, but is used from time to time to wreak havoc on smaller cities to save time.
Equipment/Vehicles: Ræd has the special limbs specified in apearance. Ræd’s stinger secretes a bacterium that will devour what it touches, this can be used to get right through many metals... Or people. He has two pistols which are kept mounted on the warrior's back.

I understand that we do not have genders, but for the sake of writing clearly, can I use "he?"
