In the year 2010, the war of the immortal and the undead continue to rage on as it has been for the past centuries. Vampires Vs Werewolves, in this critical time the stakes have risen. Both clans have killed savagely and done horrific things to the other. Both wish to eliminate the opposite race, both are good and both are evil, the only question is: Which are you?

ALL OOC: POST comments, etc. Need to be posted in the OOC

Ameila panted as she lugged her suitcase through the thick foot deep snow and fell through more holes in the woods, she wasn't used to manual labor! Or the outdoors! Natasha had told her it would be rough but she didnt think she meant this! This was just torture, her hands were sore, she felt like it had been freezing and she just wanted to go back to her soft warm bed and enjoy a glass of warm tea with some cookies! It didn't help that she was scared crap less and ready to break down, after what seemed like hours they reached the edge of the woods and Ameila barely had time to gawk and stare before Natasha was rushing her again, saying they wouldn't have much time before the others arrived.

"Natasha! Whoa!" She squeaked as the guardian dragged her through the snow and icy roads, she hailed a taxi and before Ameila knew it they were flung in a cab and being driven off to an airport. It had been just been yesterday when she found her dear mother dead, murdered in the snow and she was still being driven insane by the womans presence, smell and dead aura. She turned over in her seat whimpering to herself as Natasha handled the details of where they were going and who they would need to make sure to stay away from.

"Momma..." It came out like a strangled whimper and instantly the princess was having flashbacks of everything, her mother, the scene. That morning, her father...the funeral, her fathers kind and caring words to her. Those honey coated lies of love, the only time he had paid attention to her was when he needed her for something and now, now she knew just how evil of a man had sired her...no, not a man. He was a monster! He was a terrible creature that would surely kill her and Natasha if he ever got the chance and she couldn't let that happen to Natasha ever!

The cab slowed to a halt and Natasha paid the cab driver before quickly yanking Ameila out and she rushed with her guardian to grab their tickets, Ameila felt paranoid as her adrenaline begin to die down. There was nothing for her to do except wait, wait to escape...wait to be captured...wait. It felt like hours though she knew only mere minutes passed before she was safely on the plane and in the air with Natasha, then and only then, were they allowed to relax and be calm.

"....Momma." She whimpered again as she brought the small bag up to her chest and hugged it tightly, her mothers trinkets and small possessions. Cash had been the major thing Natasha had told her, so she grabbed every jewel and item she could afford in the short amount of time before she had started on her midnight fleet with Natasha to their new life in America. She was just seeing Russia for the first time and NOW they were going all the way to America? It was all a bit overwhelming for the young future Queen but she knew until they could get help. This was the safest thing to do

"Im glad you're here." She added to Natasha sniffling and managing a small smile as she tried to toughen up for her best friend since childhood. They had always been together and would always be together if she, Natasha that was, had anything to say about it and deep down Ameila knew that. There wasnt a person alive that she would rather have this type of adventure with, looking out the plane she sighed when she realized she couldn't see the ground. This was all so ODD! She had always dreamed of flying but, never had she dared believe she would actually do it!

She gasped when someone brought them drinks and complimentary snacks. She couldnt help but stare at the womans clothes and the cart as she wheeled by, this was going to take a LOT of getting used too....
Image <-------made by me! Yes I know I'm epic but the fact still remains. I win you lose happy days and a pair of high heel shoes

Like a ship blown from its mooring
By a wind off the sea
Like a seed dropped by a skybird
In a distant wood
Who can say if I've been changed for the better?
But because I knew you
I have been changed for good

The night was more than freezing, the snow was deep around the compound, surroundings were covered in shadows. The only light that led the pair was that of the moon, casting eerie light on everything below it. Natasha held back a laugh as she watched Ameila struggling to get through the snow, she cut herself off when she remembered the circumstances surrounding their hurried departure. Just the night before the Romanov queen was found bled out in the middle of the woods, the ones Natasha was moving through now, lifeless along with her unborn child. Natasha was amazed Ameila was even able to be around the place the body was found. She knew well though that the princess was a strong individual and when determined, she was able to overcome the obstacles life put in her way.

"It won't be much longer Ameila." Natasha reassured her friend and started pulling her through the woods. She wasn't the least bit tired, infact she was wide awake, no doubt fear for the princess' life had something to do with her energy supply. In the back of Natasha's mind she could invision the faces of her parents and past trainer when they found out she'd taken the princess and left. It was going against just about every rule that was drilled into her mind when she was little, all except the one that stated: protect the princess at all cost. The king was crazy, in Natasha's eyes, he was a monster with too much power, and the fact that he could kill his own wife so easily without any second thoughts or remorse over the action, only further confirmed Natasha's thought of him. He was dangerous and she didn't want Ameila to be around someone so dangerous. The decision to take Ameila away was one made quickly, they had enough cash to survive for a great deal of time. They would stay around the large cities in America, moving around every so often to make sure they couldn't be hunted down easily.

Once they were out of the woods and in a taxi Natasha sat back and caught her breath, glancing over at Ameila out of the corner of her eye. She knew it wasn't easy for the princess to up and leave her family like that, especially after the death of her beloved mother. It didn't help that Ameila had never been exposed to the outside world before. She was in for quite the surprise. Natasha outstretched her left hand and placed it on Ameila's shoulder, offering her the most genial smile she could muster up at the time. "Don't worry, I'm going to protect you no matter what." Natasha meant those words 100%, she was prepared to do whatever necessary to make sure that her best friend lived on, even if it meant losing her own life. There were no words that could express how Natasha would feel if anything ever happend to Ameila, she wouldn't be able to live with herself.

About an hour later, after making their way through the busy Moscow airport, Ameila and Natasha were straped in on a plane headed to New York City. The guardian was glad she had a chance to regain the energy she had used up racing through the woods. Earlier she couldn't feel anything but adrenaline and fear for the princess, that was the fuel that kept her going, but now that she was seated on a plane she realized how worn out she was. Looking over at Ameila she grinned, "We've gotten this far, the hardest part is over. Once we get there we'll get settled in and lay low for a while. Don't worry." Natasha's bright blue eyes looked out the small oval window next to her, staring at Russia's night sky. She was sad to be leaving the place she'd spent her whole life in, but the princess was safe and that was all that mattered.

"Cedric! please pull over"

Taking a long drag from her Virginia slim a smirk crept upon her mouth. Her eyes following Cedric she was hungry....She knew that feeding in the public would bring unwanted attention to herself. But she was hungry. As Cedric opened the limo door she felt the night air breeze, feeling somewhat anxious she quickly climbed out of the limo and walked a few paces onto the sidewalk. The humans knew that she was not a native to this city, mostly because of the way she dressed. A White and blue Chinese dress paired with White gucci high heels clearly showed that this woman had class. Although she looked classy her killer instinct was lying dormant awaiting fresh blood.

"Mistress Ashford Shall I bring an umbrella?", cedric said cautiously
"No Cedric...I won't be out long", she said smirking

As she began walking down what appeared to be a long street full of tourist she noticed that a few of the men passing her were giving her nods. It was easy to feed of men because they were like children. But she preferred Female blood. A peddler approached her holding out some cheap watches that looked worn and old. She held out her arm showing him her Diamond and Platinum covered watch. As the peddler walked off she laughed quietly to herself, continuing down the street she saw some poorly dressed kids doing some dances as if they were selling their skills for a little bit of change. She always admired the poor for they're courage and spirit. Sifting through her purse she pulled out a couple of 20's and tossed it down at they're feet.

"Go get yourselves something nice", She said

After walking a bit she couldn't find any good prospects to feed off of, so she signaled for Cedric who surprisingly was still back at the limo waiting for her. Slowly the vehicle pulled up and as quickly as the limo stopped Cedric was already on his way toward her door.

"Everything alright Mistress?", he said
"Everything is fine Cedric....How long till the meeting is underway",as she asked this question she climbed back into the limo
"We are early mistress but They will call as soon as they are ready for us",he said

Cedric closed the door and ran back towards the driver's seat, slamming the door he turned the car ignition back on and drove off.

The shop was dusty with age, rows of old tomes lay along the shelves, Ignatious had to remember to replace them every century or so.. otherwise they might have made the shop stand out. The old man despaired as he picked out an original shakespere and removed it from his shelves. He took a moment to wonder to himself, how he would go about this next century...

With the digitalization of media, book shops like this wouldn't make any sence, even now it was streaching it a little bit. He glanced out of the window looking at the busy new york side street, night time shoppers hurrying to and fro, headphones and mobiles dangling away as they bobbed about, looking for gifts and groceries.

'Are they even human anymore?' He mused to himself as he dropped the shakesphere behind the counter, there would be time to move it downstairs later, he was gathering quite a collection by now. He paused and lit a pipe. The store glowed in the dim light of the pipe, it wasn't a very large store, the glass of the display window was bubbled, not for display purposes but simply because Ignatious had neglected to replace them for a long time. The store had book shelves lining the outer walls, a shelf cutting along the middle of the room like an island and at the back, the store counter. One of the corners had been made into a reading space for customers who liked to browse in greater detail.

He'd been inevitably forced to change the appearance of the store a few times, but he had done well to keep it in the same place all this time, humans were so easy to mislead, that one land lease they were signing could quite accidently have been another... everyone makes mistakes... right?

The sun had just dropped over New York, whilst it was dark the streets were still busy as people rushed around doing whatever they had to do in the early night.

James walked down a dim-lit street wearing a large black trenchcoat to hide his millitary-grade costume and his weapons, out in the open like this he wasnt going to cover his face by means of his balaclava though he still had the coats collar popped and his sunglasses on. He had nothing to hide from really, he didnt care if one of the humans noticed his red eyes or even his fangs. He just felt compelled to keep a low profile.

Pushing by the few people roaming the streets infront of him James arrived at the old book store, taking his hands out of the coats pockets he pushed open the door and looked at the old man smoking a pipe behind the counter. The old vampires wrinkled face somewhat annoyed James; He didnt know anything about him other then that he was a vampire and that he was old not just in appearance but also in actual age though he didnt know how old exactly. Every time James set eyes apon him he wondered if the man was turned into a vampire at an old age or if even vampires grew old after so many years.

He shook off the idea and looked at the man over his sun glasses. James didnt say anything he just gave a nod then headed past through a door then up a flight of stairs. At the top there were a few room one of which James was renting from the old geezer, he could bring whatever he liked into the room and the old vampire would never ask any questions, needless to say; Such a thing wouldnt be possible with a human landlord.

James unlocked the door to his room and entered. Flipping the light switch revealed what looked more like an armoury then anything else; The place was full of various guns and ammo resting on the brute wooden floor and up against the barren grey walls, only a mattress and a night stand housing a digial clock and telephone broke the mood.
James took off his coat and threw it to the floor.

Ameila hugged Natasha tightly and smiled at her before letting her best friend since she could remember go and stared out the window still fascinated even by her seatbelt as she kicked her feet slightly. Looking over in the next row she gasped slightly as she saw a human mother with an infant, the sight brought back the never would be forgotten memories of her own dead half sibling. Yet in the same token it was so amazing to see, leaning back she jumped when a DVD fell out.

"Oh my WORD!" She said wide eyed before picking it up, looking at it curiously she gasped again as the DVD player opened and she stared, should she stick the circle in it's mouth? Shrugging she slid it in and put on the headphones as an animated movie began playing. Ameila clapped her hands and ignored some of the stares she got as she gasped and ooh in amazement at the film while their meals were brought though she only picked at hers for obvious reasons.

"We are reaching NYC." The pilot announced and Ameila frowned her face up looking at Natasha

"He needs a cough drop." She said seriously as the passengers prepared for the landing. Looking out the window Ameila gaped, it was JUST LIKE THE BOOKS! Only better and everything was so much more lively! It didn't look flat anymore, it was actually there! Suddenly her excitement was more than the princess could bare and she grabbed Natashas hand and all but dragged the guardian off as they picked up their luggage inside and she gasped

"Oh my god! Look at the little human like people!" She whispered in amazement as her nose inhaled all the odd scents of the fast food stands nearby. She blinked and looked around gaping, everyone was bustling and running around and all she could do was stare and be amazed every passing second, how could she not have known all this existed? Fresh pretzels, pizza, sub shops and other things were all in ONE BUILDING!

"Natasha! Tasha! Oh my word look!" She said pointing excitedly at a group of people who were dressed in emo styled clothes, instantly Ameila, forgetting in America no one obviously knew who she was, ran over and waved to them.

"Hello! Nice to meet you, your clothes are so odd!I've see you in books!" She added in a calm but excited tone as she smiled widely at them and they all gave her WTF faced before slowly turning around and walking away, Ameila blinked confused. Well that was rude! Why on earth would they walk away from a princesss? She was THE princess, no one walked away from her unless her father ordered it....and she had only wanted to see the picture people!

"....This is a very odd world...." She muttered

Aiden was enjoying the snow as he walked through the snow. He was in his wolf form, sleeking through the woods unnoticed. He rarely ever walked around as a man, knowing his numbers were small and knowing full well that he would be hunted until his dying day. [i]That day will be a long time coming.[i/] He mentally laughed. He knew the on going war had diminished alot of his men and women, but no on was able to get to him, no one was dumb enough to hunt him without a plan.

He could smell people walking around and he smiled. Everything seemed like another night in New York, and peace was quite calming in itself. He couldn't, however, put a finger on why something felt wrong. There was going to be a new threat soon, and he wanted to be ready for it. As he walked deeper into the woods he found a small shack just outside a pond the was covered in snow. His blood stained teeth showed as he smiled at it. Slipping in, he quickily changed back to a human, grabbing a set of clothes he had laying around, along with a black leather jacket that hung loosely against him.

When he left he saw a couple cuddling near the pond. "You guys shouldn't be here, strange things come out in the night." His voice didn't sound his age, but they way he spoke held more than it showed. The couple was startled but moved quickily out of the way. Aiden walked up to the pond and stared up at the sky. "Let them come." He said more to himself as he pulled memories of past battles to mind.

Natasha allowed herself to relax for a little bit, knowing that she would have to be fully alert again once she and Ameila got off the plane. She had already checked out the other passengers before the plane took off, all of them were human. Stil she kept reminding herself that Ameila was an important person in the vampire world, a princess, Tasha was more than positive the king would send out numerous people to try and track them down. If that happend there was a very good chance she would be sentenced to death, seeing as how the king could kill his own pregnant wife so easily, she knew even Ameila's words against it wouldn't chance a thing.

There was no turning back. Even if they did manage to outrun the king's highly trained 'attack dogs' there was still the problem with the wolves. The two kinds had been fighting eachother for centuries and dragging Ameila out in the open was only leaving her somewhat an easy target to be attacked by wolves too. It felt like they had escaped one threat and opened themselves up to new ones. Natasha didn't doubt her skills at a guardian, but there were multiple enemies out there, she couldn't fight them all off at once.

Looking over at Ameila she smiled, it was funny to see how everything so common to regular humans fascinated the vampire princess. 'I'll protect you no matter what, I won't let anyone hurt you again. Natasha kept saying that mentally, bracing herself for the extreme change from secluded palace life to busy New York City activity. She wasn't really excited about it, there were a lot of people, people that could be threats. Thats the way Natasha looked at every new person, someone who could potentially put Ameila in danger.

As the plane landed in New York City Natasha put her guards back up as Ameila pulled her around the airport. Instantly she was assulted with many different aromas and smells, greasy fast food and the ocassional scent of someone's perfume or cologne. As they walked Natasha made sure she stayed right beside Ameila. She was glad the princess was wrapped up in her own little world of amazement, that was better than her thinking about the reasons why they were there in the first place. Tasha's eyes widened as Ameila went over and started talking to some random people dressed in clothes she personally thought way too tight. Instantly she was grabbing the princess and pulling her away.

"I'm sorry about that, she's just really excited to be in the city!" Natasha spoke in a rushed voice as she pulled Ameila away and back towards the outside so they could find some transportation to a hotel.

"Ameila you can't just go running up to people, remember no one here knows who we are. As far as they know we're just some of the thousands of tourist here to enjoy the city. Lets keep it that way."

Natasha stepped halfway out into the street to stop a taxi, getting impatient with the people constantly bumping into her. She took the luggage and threw it in the cab before shoving Ameila in, not wanting the girl to get sidetracked by something else and wander off. After giving the driver directions to the hotel they'd be staying at, until Tasha could make extended stay arrangements, she sunk back into her seat. "This is going to be interesting." She sighed and turned her head to look at the traffic and people as they all moved around going different places.

'This is all for Ameila's sake' She reminded herself, feeling a little homesick.

The old man, gave a calm nod as the young vampire disappeared upstairs, of course Ignatious assumed everyone was young, indeed most the time he was very correct in that assumption, at least compared to himself. It didn't seem the done thing to ask questions, the young man was allowed to come and go freely, Ignatious knew he couldn't exactly 'trust' anyone but he could trust him to keep a low profile and not bring unwanted attention to the shop.

Of course he was correct in that assumption too, the young vampire was a keen, focused edge, Ignatious could sense a sharp mind and a determined soul and although they didn't speak much, his power of the mind had allowed him to establish the character the young vampire possessed, it had been the deciding factor when he let out the room upstairs.

Ignatious sighed as he looked out the window again into the night sky, he didn't really speak with the other vampires much but news of the vampire world did trickle through none the less, he frowned, It seemed bad news floated like a cloak of death from Russia, rumors of despair in the royal family. Was under the breath of vampire kind, what did it all mean...

Ameila just stood there confused before Nastaha had them moving again and she had shoved Ameila in the cab before she had a chance to try and find the strange people again. With a sigh she turned around back and forth now growing restless in the cab, she hated tight places or closed in anything it drove her mad! The cab ride went on for a while longer before she was at the hotel, walking inside with Natasha the girl seemed at least 5 or 6 years old as she gasped and pointed.

Awed and ooh in amazement at everything her eyes saw from the carpets to the walls, everything excited her, she wandered away from Natasha for just a moment before dashing back to her side when a fountain scared her and hugged the girls arm tightly, much like she would her own mother when she was alarmed or scared, sighing she closed her eyes tighter.

"Ameila, you cant be scared of everything....be brave." She mused, that face, those eyes...that loving calm voice....suddenly she missed it an her depression overtook her again as she waited patiently for their hotel keys. She blinked back tears before she sniffled slightly but kept it quiet enough to where no one noticed, wiping her eyes she blinked shocked when she heard barking.

Outside was a little dog, trying to get in, it was scruffy and Ameila immediately felt drawn to it, wandering away from Natasha she walked over to the door carefully and pushed it open only to find the small creature dashed off, across the street into the park. Her maternal instincts kicking in she blinked

"Oh no! You'll die come back!" She exclaimed concerned dashing out of the hotel after it, she chased it down through the park, looking over her shoulder every so often and skidded to a halt, picking it up finally cornering it when it got stuck in the brush, it shivered and nipped her fingers and she stroked its head softly

"Shh, shh stop that." She said before the sinking feeling she didn't know where was kicked in and she felt herself begin to panic, it only worsened and she screamed suddenly when someone appeared in front of her, his unusual scent told her he wasn't human. His unnatural beauty added to that confirmation, offering him a nervous smile she stepped back one step blinking...Natasha...might have been right about this...
---
Lucus stood up, leaving the girl in the ally way shaking, he licked the blood off his lips before changing to his human form and dashing off, the self dubbed princes of darkness had been in an unusually dark mood and his taste ran towards human, the lonely student girl proved too much for his naturally predatory instinct. He picked up the speed knowing someone was bound to come along and notice his unfinished prey, well, at least he had left her alive. Usually his victims were hardly that lucky

Lucky Luca...

He smirked before transforming and dashing off again into the woods, somehow he had a feeling something was happening and he knew it would be exciting, running deeper into the woods he sighed as he realized he had run right into the head of the Were Wolves himself. The man was well known and respected but bored Lucus with his moral traits and other useless methods of fighting, they could have wiped the vampires out by now. If they had the right authority.

"Hunting?" He inquired casually putting his hair back as he lifted his nose blinking as he realized he had found a new scent, amused he turned around before casting a short nod to the leader.

"Looks like new meat's arrived." He added catching another whiff of the scent before running down the ponds edge and leaping over the bushes, landing in front of Ameila, she looked up at him nervously

"Well, well well....aren't you pretty," He mused

Natasha had carried all of the luggage in the hotel with her, happy the taxi ride was over. She was getting restless and was really looking foward to having Ameila away from all of the strangers that crowded the streets of the city. Inside a hotel room Tasha felt it was safer for the princess since they were off the streets and in a more confined area with few access points. The fear of being followed never left the guardian, she was halfway expecting to be caught and was mentally preparing herself for such an instance. She could take on maybe two or three of the kings guards at a time, but any more than that would be a problem and since it was Ameila his own daughter that was missing, Natasha was sure her would send out more than a few to retrieve her.

Running a hand through her hair she stood in the line of people checking in, tapping her foot trying to calm herself down. 'It won't do either of us any good if I let my mind wander. We made it this far just stay focused.' Once again she had mentally talked herself into staying calm and regaining focus on the things around her as the line slowly moved up. She almost jumped out of line when she saw Ameila start to wander off again but the girl came back and grabbed her arm. She resisted an urge to sigh, all of this was bound to come crashing down on princess soon in one big emotional wave, but Natasha was prepared to comfort her the best she could. For now, she was safe, and that was what mattered most.

"You'll be in room 407 on the nineteenth floor." One of the girls behind the desk gave Natasha a huge smile, too bright to be real, and in turn she just snatched the key up and turned away. Pulling all of the bags along with her as she made her way to the elevators, which also had a line of people. Annoyed she grunted, her ears caught the sound of a dog barking over the mixed murmurs of the people in the hotel lobby. Just as she was about to shove some people out of the way and catch the next elevator up Ameila dashed off after the dog. Natasha dropped the bags and darted off after the princess. It was times like this when she wished Ameila didn't care so much about others, running off put her in a great deal of danger.

Instead of calling out her name Natasha followed her through the busy and through a park, reminding herself to give Ameila a nice lecture later on about her life-threatening curiosity. As she lept over a park bench she picked up the scent of wolves, picking up her running pace, she was now worried Ameila was walking right into a trap. She came to an abrupt halt when she caught up to the princess and grabbed her wrist. "Don't run off...-" Natasha didn't finish her sentence, instead she got into a defensive stance infront of Ameila as a dark haired male, one she assumed was a wolf judging by his scent, approached them.

"Go back to wherever you came from." She made sure to drip as much acid into her sentence to show she was serious. Mentally she was shouting out profanities, running into a wolf was the last thing she wanted to happen.

**********

Aica ran through the woods in her wolf form, her paws hitting half-frozen leaves as she let the cold northern air run through her fur. This was how she spent a lot of her time, when she wasn't hunting or hanging around Lucus, she ran. She never ate while she was in human form, she preferred eating raw prey as opposed to the normally cooked food humans had. She was running through the woods now looking for a little snack that would sustain her until she found Lucus, the male she preferred to go hunting with when he allowed her company. She could tell she annoyed the older wolf a lot but she was attracted to him, that was the only reason she hung around and put up with his cold personality.

'I won't leave until you force me away.'

As Aica jumped over some trees roots she picked up Lucus' scent, the smell of pine and blood that always floated around him. To her it was a nice refreshing mix and she could tell by the intensity of it that she wasn't too far away from him. She picked up two other unknown scents but dismissed them for the time being. Running a bit faster she soon came a few feet away from where he was, but she stopped and hung back for a second when her golden eyes fell upon two females, that was when she figured out the scent, or smell that was burning her nose. Vampires. Growling lowly she crouched down and shifted back into her human form, the first time in three days and stretched up. Running to Lucus she stood beside him, deciding to return the glare the black-haired vampire was giving them.

"Can we play with them? I haven't gotten to kill any vampires in a while." Aica spoke in a taunting voice, grinning at the two vampires, flashing a sly smile.

Ameila backed up a step suddenly feeling threatened when Luca looked down at her with an expression she had never seen before. She couldn't pin point the look in his eyes but the puppy growling at him told her he felt the similar threat, trying to walk around him Ameila blinked when Luca was in front of her again, without even moving! Confused she furrowed her pretty brow, amusing him further from what she could tell.

"How did you do that?" She inquired astonished as he merely smirked at her, the puppy continued growling and the werewolf now looked irritated with the little creature much to Ameilas concern. Turning around she tried once again to go back the way she came as Luca appeared in front of her, backing up she looked around, did he have twins perhaps? Remembering he had, well she assumed he had, complimented her earlier she tried to appear polite, perhaps he was merely annoyed she was showing a lack of manners, after all Natasha did state that in New York. The princess laws didn't necessarily work here...

"Oh and uh, thank you." She added stepping back again when she caught wind of Natashas scent, before she knew it her old friend had sized her wrist and was chastising her about running off and getting into danger. Embarrassed Ameila prepared to alert Natasha to the fact they had an audience before her friend took a protective stance in font of her, Natasha was speaking to the Werewolf and she was PISSED. Ameila instantly felt guilt fall on her shoulder as she realized why Natasha was so annoyed, they had after all...been running for nearly 24 hours or more straight and Ameila for the life of her, just couldn't stay out of trouble.

"I'M so useless." She thought mournfully holding the dog still as another Werewolf appeared and she gasped slightly, this was surreal! One werewolf was shocking but TWO? At the SAME TIME? IN the SAME PLACE? What were the odds of that one? Curiously she observed the female and Lucas re action to her presence before she gasped horrified when the girl suggested eating Ameila and or Natasha, angrily she picked up a stone and before anyone could say otherwise: Hurled it at the newcomers girls forehead letting it smack her dead in the eye, that would be black later.

"You will do no such thing! You awful wench!" Ameila replied swinging another pebble and another at the girl and kept the assault on her newest and first victim with a vengeance as she growled angrily and awkwardly. Her fangs slipped out and Ameila let her true nature show, given the circumstances it may have been odd but not totally off, after all Ameila had always been protected. Never had anyone dared threaten those she cared for to her face and she certainly wasn't going to let some classless halfbreed start doing that now.

"I'll rip your ugly head off! With all those split ends and dyed roots!" She added, at least if she recalled correctly that was what it was called when anyone changed their hair color and ti went terribly wrong.

---

Luca watched her intently licking his lips in a lustful and almost seductive manner, despite being a wolf he moved with catlike grace, examining her up and down, his eyes tracing her every soft curve. She was cute, she was new....and she was fresh, her scent was particularly flattering and befitting of her, his charm and wit. Good lucks and popular status all contributed to him being a nearly flawless predator, but this girl was practically oblivious it seemed to the fact they were mortal enemies any other Vampire would have attacked or screamed by now, and that made this all the more fascinating. He tested her, toyed with her as she tried to move away, teleporting in front of her and behind her just to see how she re acted. Much to his surprise she was fascinated and astonished rather then angry or threatened anymore by this, almost perplexed Luca wondered if she was really that stupid or just incredibly oblivious to the fact he was Wolf.

She thanked him, he had nearly forgotten what for before he made an O expression and stared at her bemused again, she was a funny little creature and just adorable to toy with. So much, he might actually want to keep her around a little bit longer, just as Luca prepared to open his mouth to reply he caught wind of another Vampire, within seconds another one. Older, from what he could tell was in front of her, well this was just amusing . Now he had TWO attractive women, three in one night?

"Lucky, Luca..." He thought mentally still licking his lips slightly at Ameila, she was just so innocent and cute he couldn't help but be attracted to the little vampire, he wondered if her blood tasted as good as she smelled. If so she would certainly be a treat worth his while, before he could say anything the other Vampire spoke. Now he was throughly amused, this one seemed far more aware of the fact they were rivals then the other did, he could only assume they were a team or friends...maybe siblings since they both had dark hair.

"No reason to be rude." He mused before he scowled when the wind blew a scent his way, oh come on. This could be seriously happening. Red hair appeared and he growled slightly as Aica appeared, if there was one wolf. Just ONE he would have stood by and watched a Vampire take out it was her, for whatever reason the girl had attached herself to him and it wasn't so much the fact she had attached herself that she was annoying and a stalker. If she had been a little more suave about it and not so desperate Luca might have spared her time of day, or at least an hours worth of it, instead she had to pester him like some lost little puppy without a home to go to.

""Aica I'm in the middle of.." He blinked as Ameila gasped and before he knew it, was flinging pebbles and stones at Aica with all her might smacking the annoying werewolf with them. A slight smirk formed as Ameila threw her fit before he looked over at her, the evident hunger in his eye as they followed her bodies every motion as she continued to insult Aica before he let out a slightly amused noise

"Quite a feisty young woman..." He purred seductively as Ameila blinked clearly not getting the hint, oh yes. She was legit...and this was going to be fun..

Reaching into the pockets of the coat he had threw on the floor James took out his trade-mark balaclava. The night before he had been out hunting but ran into a spot of bother; Side tracked, he was trapped at sunrise and had to remain inside an old abandoned building all this time. It was only a few hours ago that he could leave when the sun was down, he then grabbed the trenchcoat off one of the bodies and headed back here.

He was going to be more careful this time... James put on the skull decorated balaclava then put his sunglasses over his eyes. Cracking his knuckles through his gloves James turned his attention to a rack of guns, he opted for an RPD tonight. For humans it was a heavy weapon but thanks to his extra vampire strenght he could carry it as if it were a sub-machine gun.
He quickly loaded the 100 bullet container then left the room by means of the window, he then climbed up the fire escape and was off. No way he was going to walk around the streets dressed like he was carrying such a big weapon, moving roof to roof was alot better.

Jumping from the roof of a building onto the side of a bigger one James quickly scaled it, at the top he had a decent view of the area. Now he just needed to pick a decent location to go hunting; The city was full of dark alleyways which were always a good place to trap humans but it was still quite early and the streets were far from empty... Up ahead was the park, it to had lots of nice, dark places and alot of lone people wandering through it but he knew it was wolf territory.

Joseph looked down from his perch in a tree. Something was happening. Something big. Leaning out further, he watched as the werewolves and vampires exchanged pleasantries. Well, at least it was interesting.

The werewolves he knew well. Lucas Cameron, who called himself the "Prince of Darkness" or some such rubbish, was the son of a rather influential family of wolves in the area. He had been disinherited, but had eventually won himself back into his family's good graces. Rumor had it he had been known to disappear from one place only to reappear in another, though whether this was by an incredible burst of speed or by actual teleportation, the rumors didn't say. He was known as a sadistic, ruthless killer, with an unfortunate strong streak of loyalty. In chess, he would represent a knight: a conniving trickster, bending his path and leaping over others while the other pieces stuck to their stagnant old rows. He had the potential to be useful...

The other was Aica Myers. A strange wolf with an obsession with Lucas. She seemed to have a follower mentality, first tagging along with her parents' murderers, then with Lucas. She was something of an enigma to Joseph. Why would someone devote themselves so diligently to another? It made no sense. Maybe it was because she was a mediocre person... apparently, her only outstanding feature was her senses, particularly he sense of smell... or, that's what his spies told him. Joseph didn't think much of that. After all, bloodhounds had great senses of smell also, and they didn't tend to get as... bothersome as a sentient being. All in all, of the chess pieces, she would represent the pawn... a small piece that nobody worried about until it had a strait path of attack. The only true use of a pawn was to get it into a position where it could be exchanged for a more useful piece.

The vampires, however, were a complete mystery to Joseph. They must have been new in town, because Joseph had never seen nor heard of them before. In this town, where Joseph made it his business to know at least a little about everything that went on, they had somehow managed to slip under his radar. That meant one of two things... either they were very rich and important people who could have bought silence... or they were assassins, sent here by one of the greater covens to "take care" of one of the more unruly vampires. Seeing as the smaller one had the look of one who had been living a life of luxury recently, he doubted they were assassins. But what kind of important vampire would be wandering here, in the middle of wolf territory?

Joseph weighed his options. He could go out there and try to stop the fight that was sure to break out. If these vampires were really as influential as they seemed, they would fit very nicely into his Plan... however, to do so would completely ruin his reputation for neutrality, something that would not fit in with the Plan at all. The only reason the wolves tolerated him on the few parts of their property he was allowed on was that he has shown time and again that he would not take a side in this horrendous turf war that the wolves were fighting with the vampires in. He could always sit back, and let the wolves engage the vampires, which would keep his neutrality intact. If he did so, however, then he would have to cover up the fact that he was even here tonight... if the vampire high lords found out he was dealing with wolves, a likely outcome of any investigation that might spring up around the death of a important vampire, he would have to deal with assassins, which would also be extremely detrimental to his Plan. And by the look of the little one, she would be the first to die. Of course, there was a third option. It was tricky, but it may just keep everything together... on both fronts. The Plan would still be safe.

Joseph sighed. It was time to do what he did best. Leaping out of the tree, he glided to the ground, smiling his most sincere smile.

"Good evening, ladies... Lucas," he wouldn't dream of calling Lucas a gentleman, and he highly doubted the wolf would enjoy being called one anyway, "what seems to be the ruckus going on here on this fine evening?" There we go, Joseph thought, formal enough for a king, yet common enough for lowbrow trash.

Ignatious had sensed the younger vampire who had taken lodge in above his shop slip out the window, the old bookshop had wards placed on it, it payed to be careful when dealing with the supernatural, he was surprised more and more each day how humans could even live a second without being on guard.

The old man decided it was time to close up the shop for the night, it would stand out too much if the shop were to remain open all night long after all. He decided to slip out into the night, some fresh air would do him good for a change. The door jingled as he closed it behind him and locked it.

The side street was still busy with life and shoppers looking for the special deals, he spotted a group of people eying a plastic device on display in the window, looks of admiration and desire on their faces. Ignatious smiled, vampires ran all the major electronics companies from the shadows, it was their way to control the human populace, like a farmer would control his herd. Every week or so, a new 'brilliant' chunk of plastic would be offered to the public for only a 'modest' price.

This kept the humans busy, it also kept them from talking to each other, very handy for the populace to be distracted in such a way because unlike mere cattle humans could be quite deadly if motivated, so any motivation was to be discouraged.

Walking out of the side street onto the main road, Ignatious began to sense the minds of vampire and wolf alike as they ran about the city, of course there were too many to distinguish them all, but it helped to have an idea of the 'mood' tonight, he sensed a feeling of fascination spread across the 'wave' of minds, something was happening and it seemed the whole 'world' could sense it. He looked out across the main road, it was teeming with traffic and life, beyond it lay the central park, it was a significant stretch of park that ran through the city.

He could feel the web of minds weaken over that area, as if beings were straying back or hiding in the shadows as they watched something, needless to say, whatever happened in the park would probably be well known within about five minutes. Ignatious crossed the busy street, he began to weave a powerful illusion upon himself, only the most paranoid or observant of vampire would distinguish ignatious from a normal old man, while at the same time, a counter illusion insured he appeared as uninteresting and unappetizing as possible to vampire or wolf alike.

Perched atop the building James eyed down at the busy street just infront of the park looking for victims, his advanced vampire vision let him see the people well. Suddenly he spotted the old vampire Ignatious down below, he could see the vampire -recognise his appearance- but not sense that he was one, that was one of the old mans power in action; All vampires could some what feel others of their race unless they were in hiding but Ignatious -From what James had understood- could actually feel beings emotions and sense their thinking... Or something like that, James wasnt to sure.

Ignatious appeared to be heading towards the park, James decided to follow or atleast go the in the same direction. The street between the building and park was big but James knew he could make it; Taking a few steps back he charged the edge and jumped across, he managed to clear the road and just caught a tree at the entrance of the park, as he landed he could feel the weight of his weapon sway and nearly throw him out of the tree but he managed to keep his balance. He then climbed deeper into it.

From the shadows he watched the entrance of the park waitng for the old vampire to come through it. He could sense some form of vampire activity near by but wasnt really paying much attention to it.

Natasha mentally kicked herself for not puting a leash on Ameila, her curiosity could very well be her demise. For a second she doubted her skills, they'd just gotten there and already the princess had ran off more than once. 'Maybe I should've taken her somewhere smaller.' The main reason she didn't was so that the two could hopefully blend in with the people of the city, it wouldn't be easy to track them down if they were in a large metropolitan area. If they had gone somewhere with a smaller population it would be no challenge to be sniffed out. Natasha threw all the thoughts away, realizing just as the guardian had feared, Ameila had ran herself right into wolf territory. She could tell by the scent in the air that this particular area received a lot of traffic by wolves.

Still in a defensive stance infront of the princess Natasha was ready to fight the wolf should he try anything, much to her dismay the scent of another wolf filled her senses and out in the woods she could hear the approach. Out from the trees she watched a red-haired girl appear beside Lucus. She guessed by the look on the dark-haired wolf's face that he wasn't the least bit happy to see the new girl. The reason why wasn't of any concern to Natasha, she was coming up with a plan to get Ameila out of there, and take out both of the werewolves if it was necessary. The word the girl spoke unphased her and though Natasha had never seen her fight before she was almost completely positive she would be able to take her, in height Natasha was taller and she outweighed her too.

If the situation wasn't life-threatening to Ameila Natasha would have laughed when the princess started throwing rocks at the girl. It wouldn't take her out but it was funny to watch the princess assault the red-head and she wasn't just tossing them either, later on the girl would probably have bruises, if she wasn't a wolf capable of healing. The moment ended however when Lucus spoke again, Natasha looked back at him again. Rather than speaking to him or getting into a fight she much rather preferred leaving as quickly as possible but she could tell by the look in his eyes that simply walking away wouldn't work.

Yet again Natasha felt another presence and before she knew it another male showed up. He was a vampire, not a wolf, which relieved Natasha a little bit. Not much since it wasn't uncommon to have vampires who opposed others of their own kind, so for all she knew, he was dangerous, so she marked him as another threat to Ameila. Answering him in an even tone she calmly answered his question.

"Nothing actually, we were just about to leave." Natasha was pretty sure they wouldn't be able to get away like that, but still she grabbed the princess' wrist and took a step back ready to run anyway.

******

Aica stood her ground beside Lucus and eyed the two vampires, she kept grinning hoping they would get a chance to fight. It had been a long time since she'd last seen a vampire, and only once had she fought one but that was a long time ago back when she ran with her parent's killers. She didn't think about how deadly the fight could be, instead she just imagined taking down a vampire and impressing Lucus. She knew Lucus was aware of her liking him, and she couldn't help but be upset that the feeling wasn't at all mutual. She could tell that she annoyed the older wolf but was set in her ways, she was determined to make him like her. Aica ignored how foolish and unlikely that was, instead she kept waiting for the male wolf to have a change of heart.

Before she could get out another threat the more proper of the two vampires started throwing stones at her. At first Aica didn't realize it because she was too busy thinking about impressing Lucus, that was until one of the rocks hit her in the eye. "You little bitch!" The female wolf growled low, the sound vibrating in her throat, she crouched down, pissed and ready to jump right into fighting, she leapt for the girl who assaulted her, teeth ready to rip her to shreds. Aica forgot about the other vampire who was infront of her, and without thinking about what she might do, she jumped in for an attack.

Natasha was ready for one of the two wolves to make a move. Letting go of Ameila's wrist she moved forward before and grabbed the girl, apparently named Aica, by the throat and slammed her down on her back. Eyes narrowed at the girl she let her know how serious she was about keeping Ameila safe. "Try one more thing, I won't hesitate to rip off your head." Natasha tightened her grip around Aica's throat hoping the girl would give up. Aica was completely embarrassed. Did that really just happen? Was she just overpowered by some blood sucker infront of Lucus?

"Get off of me!" She managed to get out against the increasing pressure that was being put on her throat. Natasha finally released the girl when she could see the color changing in Aica's neck from lack of circulation. The thought of just killing her did cross her mind, but she didn't want to do anything that would lead to an all-out battle. Instead she let go of the girl and got back infront of Ameila. Aica, alittle stunned and frustrated retreated back to Lucus' side.

"It was a lucky move." Aica snapped at Natasha, running a hand over her throat. Mentally she had was yelling at herself, knowing how weak that move made her look.

Ignatious walked through the grand park gates, he could sense a wave of emotion coming from within the park, a pulse of rage and a flash of indignation rushed through the air. Something had happened and had caused someone to become embarrassed, the feeling was more primal, suggesting a werewolf. 'seems like one of our werewolf friends tried to bite off more then they could chew...' he thought to himself.

He briefly looked around himself, the park looked absolutely empty save for 'this old man' but in actual fact it was likely that the park was seeing one of it's more 'busy' times. The old man wandered onwards and abruptly stopped, there ahead of him a group of people were gathered. Two werewolves in human form and two vampires... one of them appeared to be a mere fledgling.

Ignatious was standing next to a tree 'apparently' in plain sight but any eyes that looked upon him at this point would only notice the tree, a similar sensation would occur for the nose, at this point the two wolves and vampires were too focused on each other to pierce the illusion.

The little girl stood in a defiant manor, a sense of pride coming from her, as if she didn't understand the danger she was in, perhaps she had never had to know danger before... 'she may know it before the night is done.' frowned Ignatious. The other vampire's mind reflected feelings more appropriate for this moment, along with waves of rage.

The old vampire came walking through the entrance and deeper into the park, James followed silently moving from tree top to tree top.

Suddenly he caught sight of a group of people dead ahead. They were a mix of vampires and werewolves and by the looks of it things were about to kick off. James reached down and took out his revolver, checking the cylinder he noticed that he only had 2 silver bullets left, he had forgotten to reload it from the other night... Damn.

Oh well, James still had his silver knife in case. And filling them full of lead with the light machine gun wouldnt be to bad.
For now James just sat in the tree watching the group, he had completly forgotten about Ignatious at this point, his full atention was on the people infront of him.

Lestat smiled as the gasps of pleasure turned to pain, a hand that had previously been wrapped lovingly around the young girl's neck suddenly sprouting glinting claws. The look in her eyes was one of shock, hurt and most amusedly of all betrayal. It was the same every time, he would send a flicker of his power their way and they were hooked. Sometimes he let them survive, and they still came looking for him. He was like a drug to them, a deadly narcotic they just kept returning to. He finished her quickly, not in the mood to play with his dinner tonight. Leaning back on the park bench he rested one arm along the wooden back, the girl's pale face lolling against his shoulder. To any passer bys they looked like an attractive couple on a nighttime date in the park. Lestat licked the drops of crimson from his fingers with relish, each flick of his tongue sending waves of delight down his spine. Looking down at the limp body beside him he smiled, he did feel sorry for the creatures - they couldn't help being so delicious.

He was about to stand up, pick up the girl and take her elsewhere, somewhere he could savour his treat when a smell drifted across from the other side of the pond. Immediately he stiffened, his ears beneath his fedora twitching. Well, well, well. The park was certainly immortal tonight. Standing up he grabbed the girl roughly by an arm and with a yank sent her flying into the murky water of the pond, watching as her pale features drifted into the mud. They would presume it was simply another grisly murder, there were plenty of wolves in NYC who didn't grow fur. Straightening his sleeves he started a leisurely walk towards the other side of the park, where such interesting smells issued from. There were vampires, some old, some young. And two wolves. Lestat's nose wrinkled in dismay, he recognised their scents. Jumping from the path into the overgrowth he travelled through the bushes to the side of the park, hissing with irritation as his Armani suit became covered in grass stains and filth. On most nights he would leave the two foolish pups to survive, but the warm blood of the girl still ran quickly through his veins and he was feeling generous. Emerging from the bushes behind the two he was just in time to see a female vampire send Aica slamming into the ground, her stance protective of the girl behind her. Well, they were new. And if his nose didn't betray him, foreign. They didn't worry him, they were still young on this earth, it was the scent of the ancient over by the trees that caught his attention. That one had a few centuries on him, not anything near Lestat's impressive count but not far behind.

Stepping out of the shadows he slung an arm casually over the shoulder's of Aica and Luca, breathing gently on their necks in greeting. "Why Luca, isn't it a little early in the evening for your antics?" he asked jovially, his eyes flicking from the different vampires placed about the park "You interrupted my dinner, you know."

Letting out a glimmer of his power, he wove a persuasive, soft web around the two werewolves minds. Leaning his mouth close to Luca's ears he breathed a warning "Don't bite off more than you can chew, pup. You are outnumbered." With a laugh and an elegant step backwards he released the two, though only physically not from his spell. Knocking his fedora back out of his eyes he met the stares of the two female vampires closest to them, and gave them a slow smile. The smile itself was a piece of work, it was apologetic but had a dangerous glint to it. It said I'm sorry for these two idiots, but don't make me fuck with you. Moving his eyes away, he looked towards the older, the strongest adversary and gave a slight nod. The ancients in NYC had been fighting this war for so long they had come to something alike an understanding, too much blood had been spilt to be wasted on needless, childish scuffles. Facing the wolves once again he raised a hand in a slight sweeping motion, "Come on my darlings," he purred, his voice soft but his eyes sharp "Who fancies a midnight snack? Meal's on me." The words formed a question, but had an edge that asked for no answer. He was already tired of this situation and wanted to leave, though he would find these vampires again. These new, foreign blooddrinkers deserved a proper hello to the country. This impudent charade by the other two was almost an embarasment to him. He liked the other wolves of the City, particularly the amusing actions of Luca and Aica, but they could be such trials sometimes.
In visions of the dark night
I have dreamed of joy departed-
But a waking dream of life and light
Hath left me broken-hearted.
