Just as a bottom note this is the first RP i have made on this site and if you have any suggestions those are welcome with an open mind. I am willing to pretty much prepared to figure a lot out as i go.

The idea came from...boredom. Some of the RPs i joined either were not posting or no one was one yet so i figured i would give it a shot here!

I would like to reserve a gladiator spot, and may I make a suggestion? Instead of deciding the winner of gladiator battles by a simple game of "guess the number," why not have the fights be an actual test of skill? In this case writing ability? A simple example would be fighter #1 writes the first post of the battle, fighter #2 writes the second post, Ceaser decides who wins, and then the winner who was decided by Ceasor writes a 3rd post where he takes the life of the lose? The thing is, the way it is currently has the loser knowing he's lost before the battle begins, and thus there's no incentive to do a good job. If the victor depends on how creative and skilled the battle posts are, then the writer will do his or her best to make each post count, and it becomes a sort of game and everyone loves a little competition. The results would be a good deal of well written, creative posts instead of senseless killing, you know? Like I said, that's just a suggestion, and I'm in either way. I love the Roman period too much to miss this one out. If it's not too much, I'd also like to play Zues as well as a Gladiator.

Aesteria can you save me a daughter of Ceaser?

Sounds like fun. A good RP based in the day of the romens. I wonder, could I be something like a comman soldier?

I would like to reserve a Gladiator spot as well, if possible.

no problem soldier just post your character, im waiting for at least one more gladiator before we start. when i make the first post you all my fallow.

As for the daughters they are all taken up but i wouldn't mind adding ladies of the court. The first few battles will be against animals. So "Caesar can see who to put who against. We will probably open on announcement day which is the day before the event. That way the characters have chance to meet before any fights happen.

I must say i was afraid this would flop like some of the other new rps but im so glad all of you have joined!

I think some one else should double too! It would be better if we all doubled cause then spots would be filled faster and we can start this......I already am doubling and so is Aesteria so I think we should all double.......just a thought though :)

Alright. Is there a character sheet you want me to do? Or the ones with the basics. Bio, Apperiance, name and ext?

Basic is fine just be sure to state your name, age, weapons (only three shield counts) and that you are FOR Caesar.

You know I just looked back at my character Cassie and she does not really look like Ceaser or Aime :P hahahaha but I am mostly talking about the hair though :P I still think its funny though.

so about when we get into the arena...will we just write how we fight the animals and opponents, like they were NPCs or will it be player vs player?

I want to join as a gladiator too if it is possible, I'll post the character sheet when it's ready.
By the way, this is just an opinion, but maybe you could post some kind of background story or something. I mean, give us players something to fight for, some goals, some twists, or something else, I don't know... That way we all keep focus in the game and the game won't die young.

If need be I can make another gladiator character. And Alphonse I thought there was a basic enough premise, that is the end goal of freedom by fighting in the arena as well as the subtle plotting against the death of Ceaser while having the Gladiators intermingle with the Daughters and Sons of Ceaser. I reckon that's plenty to get a world started,if you ask me. It's basic, yes, but has enough potential for such twists and turns to be thrown in as the story progresses.

So yeah, I can make another character if we need more. Not tonight, though, I'm hitting the sheets soon, but if you want me to make another character, be it gladiator or whatever, just drop me a pm. Night, all.

When fighting animals you will always triumph, they are just so caesar can see how you fight. So write those like you are the animal and yourself. As for the player vs player. Those will be anounced like so; player a vs player b. Player a writes the first half and player b writes the second. Caesar chooses who will win and the winner posts the final part. (You may only kill an opponent you have fought 3 times after you get the thumb down from caesar)
