This is a modern roleplay with vampires. Recently, a war began to come more to the surface, rather than just being in the planning stages. It still isn't too widely known about by humans, but it's escalating further every day, it seems. This war is basically between humans and vampires, but it isn't quite that simple. For years, vampires have had to hide what they really were in order to escape being hated and hunted. Many vampires preyed on humans, both because of the grudge and also because they just wanted to. Others, however, chose to drink animal blood instead. Now, in this war, there are those vampires that are trying to either kill the humans or turn them into vampires, while other vampires are trying to protect the humans. Humans that know of vampires are trying to protect themselves, and humans who are ignorant of the war...well, they're just living out their daily lives. Some humans have even pledged loyalty to vampires, and become their subordinates.

Everyone has different theories about vampires, so I'll clear a few things up now. In this roleplay, there are certain traits vampires do and do not have.
-They are not hurt by sunlight, though they don't find sunlight pleasant. Basically, they just prefer not to be in it, but they can be.
-When they only bite a human--meaning not drinking the human's blood, or drinking only some--that human is turned into a vampire.
-When they bite a human and drink their blood fully, the human dies.
-Vampires are immortal. That doesn't mean indestructable, it means that they don't age past a certain point, usually when they were bitten being that point.
-Women vampires cannot have children. Since they do not age or grow, neither can a child.
-If a woman is bitten while pregnant and changed into a vampire, she will be able to have children as a vampire, and her current child will still be born. Only, that child will be part vampire, even if the father was not.
-Vampires have increased speed, hearing, sight, and strength. But they are not Gods. Like others, they can be hurt, it's just much harder to kill them. Fire is their weakness, the only way to truly kill them is to burn them.
-Everything about a vampire is alluring to humans. Their voice, scent, looks, everything.
-To the touch, a vampire's skin feels cold, but otherwise they seem like humans.

-Keep romance according to the rules. I personally don't mind romance, but if you have to do anything too far, either just imply it in the text or take it to PM's.
-Violence must be sensible, no killing without permission, etc. If you have given permission for your character to be killed please PM me so I know that.
-Cursing must be reasonable. Some is fine, but don't be vulgar, please. It's not enjoyable to read.
-If you are leaving or unable to post please notify me.
-I have the right to ask you to leave the RP if I see fit.
-Please try to keep the gender ratio even.
-Posts must be at least three lines, please.

Side in the War- (Good vampire, bad vampire, vampire hunter, human. Note: We need characters of all types. I don't want ten of one and just one of another. Also, you can make a mixture of them, if you like. Like, a vampire who hunts other vampires, things like that.)

Personality- (If you would prefer, you can just let it come out in the RP.)

Bio- (Same with personality. I personally prefer to let history and such just reveal itself along the way.)

Note: One specific character that I would like to have is my first character's boyfriend, whom she doesn't know is a bad vampire, and he ends up biting her and changing her into a vampire.

Gender- Female

Side in the War- Human, soon to be vampire who isn't sure which side to be on yet.

Personality- Leona is shy and pretty detached most of the time, but every once in awhile she will show her outgoing and fun side. The rest will come out in the RP.

Bio- Leona has a pretty good home life, but she chooses not to be close to her parents, preferring to be independant. Just as personality, anything more will be revealed and developed later on.


Name- Tessra Lynn Diamond
Age- Appears to be 19
Gender- Female

Side in the War- Good vampire that is also a vampire hunter

Personality- Tessra likes to keep to herself, and often comes off as being dark, if not even a bit cold. The rest will come out in the roleplay.

Side in the War- human, sort of like a fledgling, but not turned. He hangs around Miranda like a stink.

For the plot, I'm pretty much just going to let it develope on its own. I do want the whole war to get bigger, though, and end up spreading over the whole world. It could turn into some sort of apocalypse plot, if that ends up being the way it goes. I'm open to any ideas, and also thinking of more of my own.

I hope more people get interested. We still need more before I can start, ideally.

Personality- Vincent is the quiet, pensive type. He's a thinker, an analyzer, and a schemer; although he prefers to use his superior mental abilities for good rather than evil. He cannot stand when people get hurt on his watch, and they rarely do. The rest.. well, you'll have to see for yourself.

Bio- Vincent led a fairly good human life. He had a good job, a beautiful fiance, and a child on the way. He was on top of the world. Until the day he was targeted by a vicious vampire... It was all downhill from there. As with his personality, you'll have to discover the rest for yourself.


Name- Jane Cook
Age- 20
Gender- Female, obviously.

Personality- Jane is ruthlessly strong, and not easily intimidated. She used to be kind and sweet, but no one ever sees that side of her anymore. Now, she's cold and silent; driven by that uncontrollable urge to get revenge against the scum of the earth. The vampires.

Bio- You'll just have to wait and see. I won't disappoint.

This will be strange for me, because usually my vampire character is named Vincent. But hey, it's an awesome name why should I get to hog it?

It's like that one time I took a preset role in an RP, and I my character's name was Martin, and I always typed "Nath" before I remembered that his name wasn't Nathaniel. It didn't help that there was another character in that RP named Nathan...

Well, I would advertise this in introductions threads, but some guy (who will remain nameless, because when I did mention his name he sent me this sarcastic PM about how I was trying to make him look bad) sent me a nastygram about advertising with a form post in introductions threads.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see. I'll give about another half hour, then I'll start the IC thread. People can still join after that, but it'll at least give us time to start and such.

Side in the War- Human, but doesn't want to take sides.

Personality- Raven is kind and caring to people she knows. She is calm and serene most of the time, and is very in tune with nature. She can tell when someone is upset by the vibes that she senses from people. She is very spiritual as well. She always speaks from her heart, and her words always have a meaning behind them. She was once trying to protect herself from the vampires, but now she is trying to help both sides, protecting both the humans and the vampires. She somewhat dislike's Leona because she thinks Leona's trying to take her brother away from her.

Bio- This will be revealed in the rp.

The pic is the closest I could find to Raven.

Name- Christoper Allan Goldlace (Chris)
Age- 21
Gender- Male
Appearance- Chris
Side in the War- Bad Vampire.

Personality- Most of it will be revealed in the rp, but know this; He is very in tune with nature as well as spiritual things. It's a gift that the Goldlace siblings share. He knows what Raven's going to say before she even says it. He also love Leona, being her boyfriend.

Bio- Same as Raven, it will be revealed in the rp.

The picture with Chris is also the only thing I could find that was close to what I picture Chris to look like. I also hope that I'm accepted.

Appearence- long blonde hair kempt backwards, pale as all vampires, nose is a bit crooked, wears darkish red clothes late, but, in vain attempts to blend in, he tries lighter, more fashionable clothes. he has pinkish eyes, because of a lack of blood, but covers it up with contacts.
Side in the War- Bad vampire

Personality- He's a bit greedy and can't show much self restraint, though he tries. He thinks highly of himself and his kind. Humans are just termites. And must be treated as such. He tries, (in vain), to be witty, but turns out to be blunt and sarcastic.
