Vincent remained silent for a long time and looked at the sky. He was debating whether or not to tell her the whole story. He figured if he did, maybe she'd tell him hers, or maybe they could become friends, even. On the other hand, maybe she didn't care to hear it and was just asking to be polite. Either way, he had decided, and looked back at Tessra. "I used to have a good job," he started, his eyes darker than usual, "and I used to have a pregnant fiancee." He clutched the tree branch with his hands, remembering. "God, she was so beautiful... Anyway, a group of awful vampires broke into our house one night. They wanted new recruits for their side in the way, specifically men. The problem was, my fiancee just wouldn't tell them where I was," he paused, swallowing the pain. "So, they slaughtered her -didn't even bother to turn her into one of us- and found me." He finished, and loosened his grip on the branch, noticing how his knuckles had turned white with the force. He looked to the girl and offered a smile, "so that's how I became what I am," he said in a cheery tone.
