Blood War ( )

Postby Leila Aarons on Sun Aug 24, 2008 3:56 pm

((OOC: blood-war-ooc-sign-ups-need-people-t9733.html))

Another day of highschool, and it was promising to be boring as usual. Leona was a Junior now, and this year seemed to be the least eventful of all. At least she had enough to occupy her time, with any luck. Walking onto the school grounds, she stopped in the courtyard, leaning against a tree to wait for school to start. She was early as usual, having a good twenty minutes or so before she had to go in for her first class. This part of the day she didn't mind, plenty happy to just stand there and think about what she would do after school, or to think about what to draw during school today. So far, she had straight C's for the second year in a row. It was passing, so she was fine with it.

While others were at school or work, Tessra was out walking the streets, patrolling for any vampires around. She could easily tell if a vampire was a human blood-sucker or not, it came with the years of practice that she had under her belt. The chains on her black leather pants were lightly clanging as she walked, black boots making a very faint sound on the pavement. So far today, she hadn't come across a single vampire. Then again, she hadn't been out that long, so she tried not to let it bother her in any way.

Vincent sat dangling his legs from a tree branch, peering down at the humans below. They all seemed to have someplace to go, someone waiting for them. Vincent had never had that. The only thing he had to look forward to in his days was protecting a good human from a bad vampire, or protecting a good vampire from a bad human. Whatever the case, his purpose was a lonely one and he was longing for someone to come along and change that. As he watched the passersby, he felt his all-black ensemble soaking up the sun's unforgiving rays and felt like an egg cooking on a sidewalk.

Jane hurried down the street, her blue hair flowing behind her like a river. She glanced around, clutching the knife strapped to her thigh whenever she saw someone who appeared... different. She stopped and sat down on a bench in what looked to be a small park, unsheathing her knife and studying it. Ever since she was sixteen she had been an avid vampire hunter, mercilessly destroying all who crossed her. She could never forgive those monsters for what they had done to her life.

Raven Allison Goldlace sat on a bench, scowling at her phone. Her brother had sent her another text saying that he would be with Leona that night. God how she loathed Leona. She was always trying to steal Chris away from Raven, his own sister. She sighed and deleted the text, putting her phone away quickly. The sun beat down on her blond hair, which was tied back into a braid hanging over her right shoulder this morning. She was early for school, and she didn't care. She was already in a sour mood because of her brother. Stupid siblings... she thought sourly.

A pang of guilt hit Christopher Allan Goldlace, and hit him hard. He knew that Raven hated Leona, but he couldn't help but being madly in love with the woman. He always had a soft spot when it came to Raven. He sighed as he walked down the streets in his normal attire; green camo pants, a baggy black Metallica t-shirt and black skate shoes. He saw the school coming into view and smiled. He would get to see Leona very soon. He sped up his pace and was soon on school grounds. He had come to this school when he was a human.... ah the memories... He looked around and spotted Leona quickly. He crept up behind her and wrapped her in a small hug. From the side, he could feel Raven glaring at the two of them, but shrugged it off. "Hey love," he murmured, kissing her neck. Oh how he lusted after Leona's blood.

Leona felt the familiar arms around her, and she lifted her head, gray eyes turning to see Chris. "Hey yourself." She smiled faintly, an expression that seemed to only show around him. "I missed you." She knew that his sister Raven didn't like her, but Leona hadn't managed to find any way to change that yet.

Chris smiled and gently kissed Leona's lips. "How has school been?" he asked. He was graduated... or, at least considered graduated. He had disappeared the day of graduation for a week and a half. Then he returned, paler than ever. His skin had a pale alabaster color to it, and his eyes seemed to have a dark aura to them. He was always questioning Leona about school, because it interested him. He smiled a faint, crooked smile. It was different from his usual smirk, which he usually sported. The only one's who got to see this smile was his sister and Leona. He looked at Raven from the corner of his eyes and sighed. "Still no improvement on getting Raven not to hate you?" he asked dully. He tightened his arms around Leona's waist and his eyes got a dark aura about them once again.

"School is school, nothing special. I'm passing, so that's good enough." Leona shrugged, not minding that Chris often asked how her schooling was going. It didn't seem that odd to her. Seeing his smile, that smile that she so loved, she couldn't help but smile herself. It faded a little, though, at the mention of Raven. "No, no improvement at all. If anything, she seems to hate me more. I don't know why, I'm not trying to steal you away or anything. You know that, don't you?"

Chris sighed and nodded. "I know that, but she seems to think that. I'll try to work on getting her not to hate you tonight, after our date," he murmured. He gently kissed Leona's neck again. He loved the taste of her skin, and was sure her blood would taste much better. He almost felt guilty for his plans... almost. He didn't quite feel guilty about his plans to change Leona into a vampire, like him. He smiled against her neck and mumbled a soft, "I love you."

Leona knew nothing of his plans, just as she knew nothing of his even being a vampire. So, the date sounded wonderful to her, and she smiled faintly again. "I love you too." She mumbled back to him, perfectly comfortable in his arms. "I hope you can convince her that I'm not as bad as she thinks I am. But first we just have to focus on our date. I want it to be a good, happy date." They usually always were, though. Chris rarely disappointed Leona in any way.

Chris nodded and smiled at Leona. He loved having her in his arms. His dates were usually walks on the beach, or sitting under the star's. Sometimes he would take Leona somewhere expensive. But not this time. It wouldn't be a walk in the park, or on the beach, or even sitting under the stars. It wouldn't be somewhere expensive or fancy. It would be taking her to his hideout, the one in the Vampire hangout. He would tell her the truth about himself, and turn her into one of his kind. He would enjoy the night, as he was sure she would too, after the turning point in her life he planned to make. That was why he had sent Raven a text like he did. He couldn't explain anything to her yet. She would object to it.

Leona remained in Chris' arms until it was time for her first class. "Well, I have to go. Gotta keep up those C's." She chuckled lightly, pecking his lips and briefly hugging him before pulling away. "I'll see you after school for our date. Love you." With a smile, nod, and short wave, she headed off to go through the boring school day.

Tessra paused in her walking, looking around a little. There was a vampire around, she could tell. A vampire's blood smelled different than humans' blood, though the difference was faint. Lifting her head, she saw Vincent in the tree, just looking at him for a few moments. Then she spoke, voice low and seemingly cold, but she really didn't feel any sort of hate or anything. That's just how her voice was. "People watching?"

Vincent jumped a bit, almost falling off his branch but just barely catching himself. It wasn't the sudden voice that startled him; it was the coldness of the voice. He peered down at her with his dark eyes and smiled slightly. "Yes. I try not to, but," he motioned toward a group of teenagers heading toward the school, laughing and carrying on, "they all look so happy; so normal. Nice to see for a change," he said, looking at the stranger.

He swung down from the branch, landing on the ground with a thud. "I am Vincent," he said, extending his hand, "and you are?"

Tessra looked at the hand, expression unchanging, then looked back to Vincent's face as she placed her cold hand in his. "Tessra." She answered, not so cold that she couldn't give her name. "Pleasure to make your aquaintance." Being polite, mostly. But it held some truth behind it, she supposed. It was nice to have someone to talk to, a good vampire, as she could assume so far.

Vincent offered a kind smile and gently shook her hand. "The pleasure is all mine, miss," he said smoothly. He wasn't sure if this woman was a good vampire or a very tricky bad one, but she seemed nice enough and he hadn't had someone to talk to like this in ages. In fact, he thought this could be rather enjoyable since she was quite attractive and seemed... intriguing. "So," he said, feeling a bit uneasy about all of the passersby, "do you normally strike up conversation with strangers, or am I a special exception?" he grinned.

Chris nodded and waved to Leona. Then he headed towards the street. He felt someone glare in his direction but shrugged it off. It was probably Raven again. He walked along the side walk until a girl came into view. He knew something was different about her, but didn't know what until he sniffed the air. This girl was a hunter! Crap! he thought to himself. He quickly turned and started walking the other way, pulling his phone out and starting to text Raven.

Raven was walking towards the school entrance, scowling about her brother when her phone went off to the tune of, Whispers in the Dark. She sighed. She had another text message. She whipped out her phone and looked at who it was from. She glared and put it away after she saw who it was from. She walked to her first class and sat down, scowling at anyone who tried to talk to her. Although, when her teacher came in, she replaced the frown with a fake smile and listened to the lecture on space.

Tessra's expression seemed to soften the slightest bit when he grinned, but it could have just been a trick of the light. "It seems you would be the exception. I'm usually not the talkative type." She wasn't sure why she had talked to Vincent. Perhaps she had just been bored. That must be it. "But anyway, do you sit in trees often?" Her voice had lost the pure coldness it had had before, but there was still a faint chill to it.

Leona just sat in her first class and started working on a drawing, but after class she happened to see Raven in the hallway. "Um, Raven? Hey, can we talk a moment. I was just...I mean, I was wondering...why do you hate me so much? I can't help that I love your brother..."

Raven glared at Leona as she spoke. "Why do I... well, lets see... Chris spends every flipping moment with you, and hardly spends any time with me any more!" she exclaimed, tears welling up behind her light gray-blue eyes. "And another thing, he rarely talks about anything but you. You've become the center of his universe! I used to be his favorite! But now your all he cares about!" she cried out, tears falling down her pale cheeks. She was upset now that this had been brought up. She made an attempt to wipe the tears away, but they just kept falling.
