Right - this is the Out-of-Character topic for the RP 'A Broken Kingdom'.
To make things easier and more understandable, I'll place a brief fact file below:

The time is based around the 31st century and many habitable planets have been discovered - some with humanoid life-forms already present and some used as additional homes for the ever-expanding population on Earth. Some races have previously inhabited these planets, including the elves and dwarves, and have now become a different species entirely.

Earth itself is now stuck in a medieval time period. Weapons like guns, bombs etc are no longer present and medieval weapons such as swords, bows etc are much more commonly used. This also applies to armour, building materials and transport.

Space travel mainly uses standard wind-powered ships (think large white sails and wooden hulls), their flight in space accompanied by the magic of so-called 'Wind-Mages' who are often the captain of the vessel. Alternative transport is possible depending on the magical ability of the race.

Name: Litania

Race: Elven
Planet: Iaos - once lush: full of trees, rivers and great architecture; now virtually barren and covered in ruins - few trees remaining.
Bio: Litania is one of the few few elves left of a broken kingdom - the planet named as Iaos. In an attempt to get help she has travelled to Earth on Reno. Reno appears to be a standard stallion-sized horse on land but with the aid of Litania's magic, he can develop great leathery wings to transport Litania through space (Litania can create an invisible capsule of breathable air to surround herself and Reno for comfort in flight) Unfortunately, she is pursued by a gang of Kandra from the planet K'tar - the warrior-like reptilian race that is to blame for the destruction of her home. She is bold and friendly but has a temper that she often needs to keep under control. Having fought in the war which has virtually destroyed her kingdom (and survived) she is a very formidable enemy but a good friend to those she trusts.

Planet of origin: Lamanos VII--A cold, mountainous moon orbiting a ringed gas giant. The natives are primitive aliens who call themselves Miinom, but the world is also home to a multiracial brotherhood of magi known as the Quin Shaliha.

Bio:
Mr. Indavida was born to a pair of prospectors, one a Wind-Mage, looking for their fortune within the rings of the planet Lamanos. Their small ship was attacked by pirates, and they had just time to put Rin in an escape craft. The two-year old boy survived the fall to the planet alone. The next day, a band of hunter Miinom found him, and took him to their village. They raised him until the age of twelve. He grew hardy and healthy in the stark mountain landscape, and his hair took on the albine hue of Lamanos VII's glaciers.

In his early teenage youth, he began to show that he had inherited his father's talent: manipulation of the winds, something no Miinom knew how to do. They sent him to the monostary of the Quin Shaliha, where the magi trained him in their ways. He became a respected member of this brotherhood, but at times he found himself longing to see his own people. There were humans amongst the Quin Shaliha, but they were a minority. This year, he leaves the monostary on a self-assigned pilgrimage to human space.

That's great guys, I think we can make a start. Myri, in answer to your question I think you should be the one Litania first meets (seen in the paragraph in the IC thread) as you are an Earth resident; the others we can meet in a bit.

Name: Nexis

Race: Adinde/human

Planet of origin: The sun/earth. The Adinden are creatures of light and energy. They inhabit places of extreme energy as they need a constant store of it to survive. They live quite happily inside of stars since it is full of the stuff. Everyonce in a while the flow of action and reaction of energetic forces causes the conciousness of an Adinde to fall to a planet like a sunbeam. They are more common on earth than on other planets because of the greenhouse effect that is still leftover from the technological age and the extensive pollution. For the most part they go unnoticed since they tend to inhabit things with a lot of energy such as rivers, but every once in a while an Adinde finds refuge in a sentient being.

The Adinden control non sentient energy as well as being made of the stuff. They can reach out and make it part of themselves and use it as you would an arm. A human with an Adinde inside finds themselves with new abilities, although it takes a lot to use them. There is no danger of dying from over exertion. The Adenden believe in self preservation over all else and will stop you long before you reach that point.

Few people know about the creatures. There was a scientist who was occupied by one who did a study on them, but most people in the field at that time just thought he was crazy. Since other races were discovered the idea has become more accepted, but they are still largely unkown.

Appearance:

Bio: In the year 1987 an Andinde fell to earth and took refuge in a woman's belly. The belly seemed to have a growing thing in it that took up more and more energy every day. Seeing the growth potential that Adende attached itself to the source. Eventually the source left the woman's belly and became it's own being. The being was a boy named Lexis. Lexis grew up with telepathic abilities and control over electricity. Over the years the Adinde spent time with the boy and got attached as more than a user and usee, which is unheard of among the Adinden culture. The creature learned about human mortality when the boy was fourteen and his mother died. The thing changed his cell structure on a molecular level so that it would continue producing at the same rate as it died off, hence no decaying, no aging, no mortal death. (This feat drained a local power plant and put the area out of power for weeks).

Lexis did not agree to this and was bitterly angry as his friends grew up without him. He had the same longings of an adult, but all women saw him as a child. The Adinde was unyielding, never explaining it's reasons, and eventually all of the people Lexis cared about were dead. He travels now, so he wont get attached to people. He keeps himself aloof and uncompramising. He is desensitized to human suffering, knowing that no matter what kind of life they have they will still die in the end.

Despite his bitter practical side, a flame of his old self lives inside of him. He finds himself rescuing kittens out of trees and helping old ladies across the street. He is generally good hearted. He is just what comes of a person forced to live forever against their will. He chose his new name as a reflection of his old name and his fixation on death.

Lexis before the Adinden came had very few skills, he was just a kid being a kid, getting c's in school. As magic became a part of life he discovered that he had little ability for it. He is very aware that his own skills in life are limited. I may decide to give him an aptitude in something later.

Note: The individuals of the race are called 'Andinde'. Plural it get's an 'n' at the end and to make it an adjective it becomes 'Adinden' as well. (Like how America becomes American). It would be like this:

Adinden are shiny!
Adinden creatures are shiny!
(The statement is a lie, they are not visible unless they use energy to become visible, but I like the sentence anyway.)

Too many dreams she stays awake
recalls when she was capable...
