When Azrael comes to town, she feels the lost of her girlfriend more than she remembers. Ever since that dreadful night, she has nightmares bout Chandra dying in her arms. And, she wakes up crying almost every other morning. ‘I miss her, there’s no way I can’t. I loved her ever since middle school, when she kissed me and told me she felt the same way.’ she thought, mopping up her tears that stopped spilling five minutes ago. As the early morning light bends through closed shades, she lays there considering what she’s going to do today. After a light doze, she gets ready for school. Throwing her video game inspired clothes, along with her boots on, she eats a light breakfast of last night's Japanese take out and brushes her blonde hair. Taking the stairs two and three at a time, she heads to her Honda Civic. "Another day in the grinder of shit." she mumbled. As her car warmed up, she called her brother.
Driving through the crowded streets, she listened to her brother's rant and gave him cool headed advice. 'Asshole.' she thought. As the minutes drew on, Azrael heard Sei's ring tone. 'Damn.' Checking the message after she stopped at a light. 'Fine, I'll come to the trailer after school..' she texted. "No rest for the lonesome." she mumbled dejectedly.
Pulling in to the school parking lot, Azrael grabbed her military styled pack and entered the building. Seeing Dragon and Rena holding each other, she felt envious and hurt. When they saw her, they broke apart and looked at her. "Hey Az." Rena said, hugging the blonde. "Hi Rena." Azrael says returning the hug. As they walked to class, Azrael knew that she shouldn't be envious of them, but she was and hated intruding on them. But she felt better when she was their wake. Even if that feeling was temporary. After they enter the class, she went to hers and sat in the back. Zoning out half way through, she relived the day she meet Chandra and then the pleasent things that came after that. 'God I miss her.' Azrael thought with saddness filled sigh.
