Customers and co-workers alike have always enjoyed the atmosphere within the local coffee shop; cafe Amore. True to its name, the coffee shop always seems to inspire romance and love if not quality friendships. It has been a staple business within the community providing caffeine for patrons of all walks of life from the executive to the high school student. Located right in the middle of a busy, yet historically quaint street.

At cafe amore there is never, a lack of drama. Between co-workers, lost lovers, or even just a wrong drink things never fail to be interesting. (think ‘central perk’ of “Friends”).

This is where characters step in. Will you be a regular customer, an employee or owner, a passerby, or maybe a rival coffee company employee….it is up to you! However, please fill out the character sheet below so the rest of us know who you are. Name: Meredith C. Bartle

Appearance (a discription will be fine): Meredith is a slender girl with soft features. Her long blonde hair has a slight wave, but is usually bound at the nape of her neck in a loose pony tail. A few wisps of hair always frame her face. She has intense hazel eyes that catch everything and seem to smile all on their own. She doesn't wear much make up or make an attempt to look 'pretty', but there is something beautiful in her simplicity. She usually wears one of a variety of skirts with boots, and a casual top.

Personality: Reserved and quiet, Meredith is able to warm anyone with her smile. Though quiet, she is not shy. She loves having conversations with people and getting to know them. She has a great ability to make people feel welcomed. Meredith also appreciates a good sense of humor, though her own is often corny or quirky. She is a home-body, and spends a majority of time at her apartment only two blocks south of Cafe Amore. There also seems to be an air of sweet sadness about her, accompanied by a maturity beyond her years.

History (or could be uncovered through the RP): Merediths parents were divorced when she was eleven, and her brother three. For reasons she doens't like to speak of, Meredith left home after graduating high school to live in the city. She completed college with a degree in Education but can't bring herself to leave her current job for a career.

Occupation: Barista (i.e. person who makes drinks) at Cafe Amore. usually works nights.

Other/addition info: Meredith was engaged to be married to a family friend, but after separating herself from her past she ended the engagement and is currently not in a relationship.

Personality: Kamerin is a very outspoken girl who loves attention. She's a spotlight hugger and prefers to be noticed. She can be loud nd she's not afraid to speak her mind. She sometimes says things at the wrong moment.

Appearance: Standing roughly 5'8 with a thin, almost fragile build that he hides behind baggy clothes, Isaac has a very light tan and 6inch (originally light blond) bleached and dyed white slightly wavy hair that partially covers his glasses and his small secret of occasionally using eyeliner that brings out his deep green eyes. A large brown hooded SouthPole sweatshirt that zips down the front and comes half was down his thighs, a close-fitting white LMSM undershirt and tight black jeans that flare out slightly at the bottom that runs over his usually either black or white-with-black-striped shoes.
Personality: Loving coffee, hes almost always seen with some sort of cappuccino and experience taught him the habit of wearing brown shirts. Insomniac and always seemingly tired for said reason. Cannot hold his ale and passed the drug test 100% for employment.
History: (I jump into these things blindly, and this is the first App I've filled out in the last 5 weeks, If I get the opportunity to even Rp because of parents and the like, there will be much more into this)

Meredith struggled with the keys in the lock of her third floor apartment. Old building aparently meant old hardware. With a dull click, Meredith sighed in relief and stuffed the keys deep into her purse.

As she jogged down the stairs she wrapped her crimson scarf around her neck. The wind had picked up this afternoon, but the sun still shone beautifully through the autumn leaves.

Twenty minutes to five, she noted on her cell phone. Just enough time to enjoy a leisurly walk down Market Street on her way to work.

Fifteen minutes later as she pushed open the faux weathered door, she glanced around Cafe Amore for familiar faces...

Kamerin sighed as she finished up a pizza order and ran a hand through her hair. She went to the back and looked at the selection of beverages the Pizza Palor had to offer and decided she's rather go to Cafe Amore. She quickly took off her apron and called out that she was on break. Grabbing her purse Kamerin left the palor and walked the six blocks it took to get to the cafe. When she arrived she looked around the place for people she had come to know.

Name: Ze'ev Hartmann

Appearance (a description will be fine): Standing about 5'8", Ze'ev is well-muscled but not "built." He keeps his head shaved bald to disguise the early receding of his hairline, though this unintentionally complements his high cheekbones and strong jaw. His grey eyes are never at rest, always flicking around a room, though it's not clear what he's looking at. He usually wears cargo pants, army surplus combat boots, and black shirts with a variety of sarcastic things printed on them (e.g. "Try not to let your mind wander--it's much too small to be outside by itself"). Often he also wears a black beret--kind of the "bohemian who'll kick your ass if you insult his poetry" look, though that's not what he is.
Personality: Ze'ev is extremely serious unless discussing his one (known) passion, which is engineering, or somebody says something that he thinks is absolutely idiotic--in which case he'll start an argument from across the room. He's usually pretty acerbic even with the people he likes (and there aren't many), but he's devastatingly intelligent despite not being a typical brainiac, and most people who know him at least respect his mind. He pays almost no attention whatsoever to women as women; nobody ever gets cut any slack because of her dimples.

Occupation: Currently an undergraduate engineering student at a nearby university. Why is he only in college at 28? See above...
Other/additional info: Ze'ev actually detests both coffee and tea, and always orders hot chocolate. He also hasn't been in a relationship since he was 17 (there's a reason for this too, but I'm not telling what it is yet).

Amy was poor as a child and her family was average in health. Amy wasn't meant to be born, meaning she was an accident. Her mother didn't care for her and treated her unfairly, giving her the cheapest things she could find.

Her father didn't want anything to do with the child, so he lost contact with her mother. This motivated her even more to treat her badly.

When Amy was 15, she moved out and rented an apartment and worked for her living expenses. When she was 19, an art director recognised her talent for art and hired her to create a few artworks, paying her generously.

Amy now lives in a rather stylish apartment with a great view, spending her days drawing or painting. She is commonly seen at Cafe Amore, it is just 5 minutes away from her apartment.

Amy had many friends when she lived with her parents but had to leave them behind. She is new to the block and some have already gotten to know her.

Isaac was asleep at the cashier counter like usual, kneeling on the floor with his head resting on his arms and his hood over his head. With a small button next to his head to wake him up with, he was very slowly but clearly sliding off of the counter. As soon as the door closed from Meredith coming in, he fell back between the ice cooler and plastic cup cabinets with a small snore.

Meredith shook her head and let a amused smile play across her face as she went behind the counter. She stepped over Issac's feet and behind the bar. It never failed to amaze her that anyone could possess do much lathargy and sleepiness while they were surrounded by a fully stocked espresso bar.

Pulling out a carton of soy milk and some white chocolate, Meredith began making her first of several drinks that would get her through the night.

While the milk was steaming she noticed Danny, whom she hadn't initially noticed when she walked in.

"Hey, Danny. I'm going to take a wild guess that you cup isn't full of dark roast. What leaves fill your cup today? Earl Grey? Irish Breakfast?"

Discussing drink choice was often Meredith's way into conversation.

Ze'ev stepped in out of the night, laptop bag slung over his shoulder. His eyes flickered around the room as he walked toward an armchair. No unattended bags, nothing weird near any of the exits; just a normal coffeehouse in a normal country. He made no move toward the counter as he sat down, opened his computer, and turned on a wireless mouse. He'd order when he got stuck and needed a pause to think. For now, though, he just needed to be somewhere that wasn't his drunk-filled dorm so that he could work.

"I'm doing alright, thanks." Meredith said. She put some whip cream on her drink and took a sip. "How are you? Working today?"

She leaned back against the counter with her drink cupped in both hands.
