I'm not that experienced in RP's with fire-arms either (I'll make plenty mistakes sooner or later, just watch), so I think most of the other RP'rs can give you a much better 101 ;x Only thing I can tell you is that if you want to avoid a projectile you'll need to figure out it's trajectory before the bullet/laser/missile is fired. With multiple fire-arms aiming at you, that's near impossible, because when they are fired they can hit within the blink of an eye, if not faster. That's why melee-range weaponry doesn't work well in the 'universe'.
And I don't mind your character 'attacking' Autumn. In fact it allows me to write her out a bit.
