Apologies, I didn't mean to click the submit button on the profile generator. Here is the character for your approval.

Name: Sarah Briggs

Synopsis: "The only thing more frightening than a cornered animal is a trained one"

Name: Sarah-983

Picture: Image

Callsign: Hyena

AI: Kouga

AI Personality: Quiet, thoughtful and calm in all the ways his partner isn't, Kouga strives to be the yang to Sarah's yin. He is full of old sayings and proverbs (as well as a few that he's made up himself) that he warps to any situation to suit his needs.

Kouga's avatar is a samurai, his definition of the ultimate warrior.

Age: 27
Height W/O Armor: 6' 1"
Height W/ Armor: 6' 5"
Weight W/O Armor: 234 lbs.
Weight W/ Armor: 878 lbs.

Hair Color: Blonde
Eye Color: Amber
Skin Tone: Pale
Notable Physical Traits: Extended canine teeth, coated in titanium. Several facial piercings. "Vive" and "Mort" tattooed across her left and right hand's knuckles, respectively.

Personality: Sarah's only got three speeds, "off", "on" and "hellbender". She lacks what some would call refinement or gentleness, but makes up for it with heart and loyalty. Just one of the guys, Sarah's most at home with her fellow SPARTANs, though she doesn't look down on the other crew. She's a bit excitable and prone to rushing headlong into a problem without thinking about it. When Sarah's nervous or in the thick of a really good fight, she'll cackle in a high pitched voice, which is why the other's gave her the nickname "Hyena" as that's exactly what she sounds like. It suits her.

Sarah Briggs isn't one to be shamed by a faux pas, much to her superiors' chagrin. She's usually involved in some hijinks or other aboard the ship, but since she always means it in the best of spirits, they usually let her off with a wrist slapping. In combat, Sarah prefers "blitzkrieg" tactics to standard military "cover to cover". She has charged piss poor odds more times than anyone else on the team wants to remember, but somehow she always manages to survive till they come to back her up.

Likes/Dislikes: A hearty believer in booze, bad behavior, and shenanigans (usually mixed together), Sarah enjoys the party life. She's also a fan of listening to Kouga talk, though she'd never admit it to him.
Quirks: Though she's never been to Ireland, Sarah picked up the lilt from somewhere. Once she's had a few drinks in her, she's unintelligible. She also habitually chews on things, usually a bullet or the handle of her knife.

Equipment/Training History:Guerrilla warfare has always been Sarah's specialty, even as a child. She was often praised by her cadre for finding the most unorthodox or sideways tactic to solving a problem, especially in combat scenarios. In actual hand-to-hand, however, her instructor described her as "hopeless". She eschewed forms and accuracy for raw power, which although she usually won the fights, she celebrated from a rack in the infirmary.

Booms and bangs were her other love affair. Since she was so mobile and hard to track, the role of saboteur and explosives expert fell onto her as easily as a saddle on a horse. She learned chemistry, electrical engineering, fabrication, combat wiring, and anything else that would improve her "scores" in combat. She never goes anywhere without some sort of explosive, whether it's issue or handmade.

Biography: Born in 2560, on a dusty shitball of a planet called Orokos, Sarah's parents never thought she'd amount to anything. That made sense, on account of them being stim fiends and neglectful, but that didn't stop Sarah. On the fateful day that the men in suits came to her neighborhood, she was at her meanest. Her parents had freshly beaten her that morning, and denied her breakfast for the fourth day in a row. Hurt and angry, Sarah wandered the streets until she met up with a group of boys having lunch. She tried asking politely for them to share, then trying to cut a deal, but after they denied her over and over, she'd had it. Later on, she'd hear how she wasn't even the candidate they were interested in, but after Sarah beat their candidate (as well as his four buddies) to an inch of his life over a scrap of bread, they decided that if they could tame this child, she'd make a good warrior.

Basic training was the rudest wake up no-one had ever prepared her for. At eight, Sarah was small for her age, and as such she was at a disadvantage. Learning to respond to orders the first time was probably the most difficult, yet the most important lesson she learned in her entire training career. Her cadre refused to praise her when she did things right, but to Sarah, the fact that she did it right at all was praise enough. Her team became her family, and she swore to herself that she'd give her all for this family like she never could for her old one. In any team exercise, Sarah excelled when the team recognized her strengths and weaknesses, incorporating her into their dynamic fluidly.

After three years of basic, Sarah's class moved on to the advance course. Weapons, tactics, fighting and school were the flavors of the day, though they still had to keep up their basic skills. The cadre found out early on that though she was a fair shot with almost any weapon, her accuracy was no sparkling apple. Likewise, she never reached the top of the class in fisticuffs, though the head boys lived in fear of getting into fights with her. No one likes mutually assured destruction, after all. Tactics and school were where Sarah excelled, however. Her cunning mind and off the wall thinking often put her teams ahead on obstacle courses or survival scenarios. In the classroom, she was a juggernaut. Every scrap of knowledge and information was sucked into the hungry maw of her mind and locked away forever. Not only could she regurgitate the information, but Sarah learned how to apply it to new situations as well.

At the ripe age of ninteen, the initiates had to make it through a competition that would test everything they'd learned, in order to prove their worth to the SPARTAN program. The contest was straightforward enough. Run the obstacle course, navigate a maze, beat an AI in a game of logic, and fight one of the older SPARTAN's. Sarah ran the course faster then the other children, but got caught up in the maze and AI games. She eventually bested the AI, but it put her in the disqualifying half of the team. Her last hope was to beat the SPARTAN before any others, and she tackled the problem head on. Literally. Her opening move was a shoulder check that caught her sparring partner by surprise and threw him to the ground. They wrestled for a bit, trading blows and shouting at each other, before the SPARTAN surrendered. He shook her hand and confessed that Sarah'd frightened him a bit, earning a big smile from her.

While she didn't pass with honors, Sarah Briggs wasn't last in line either. The selectees were congratulated on their progress and sent to medical to begin the procedure. They had the process down from so many years of performing the surgeries, so it was simply routine as normal for the doctors. Sarah wasn't unfamiliar with surgery either, calling the Infirmary a "second home" in basic. In the following weeks, when asked how she felt, Sarah always replied, 'Finnaly feels like I got th' strenght o' body ta fit me spirit!'. She spent the allotted two weeks they were given after the surgery to bulk up a little more, reveling in the new power she had at her disposal.

Sarah knew exactly what she wanted her armor to be when they called her in. She wanted mobility and carrying capacity, even if it meant sacrificing armor plating. She debated hotly back and forth with the engineers about it until they reached an agreement. The armor would be slightly less armored than most other SPARTAN suits, but to compensate it would have a higher capacity shield generator. While she waited for the suit design and fabrication to start, Sarah was led to the most crucial part of the armor, the A.I. The scientists left her alone with the holoprojector that contained her unit, telling her to get to know it better than anyone else she'd ever known. At first Sarah thought the projector was broken, because for half an hour it sat dark. She began poking and prodding at it, musing to herself out loud, before stumbling across the on button. Her AI popped up immediately, startling her and causing her to fall backwards onto her rear.

They discussed a great many things in that first couple hours together, and Sarah quickly learned why this particular AI was chosen for her. He countered her perfectly in every way, yet still meshed with her in a harmony that is normally only dreamed of. Finally, a scientist came in and moved Kouga to a portable holo tank so they could continue getting to know each other while Sarah made the final decision on her armor. She of course loved it, and they began production immediately.

After many months of training and getting used to her armor, Sarah was assigned to her first unit, Spartan team Halsey. She was of course reverent of the reputation she'd now have to uphold. It was a great honor to her to be assigned to a unit named after the creator of the SPARTAN program. During the first weeks with her team, she spent most of her time quietly observing the others, but once she felt she knew them enough, Sarah let her true personality shine through. She knows with confidence that she'd take a bullet for any one of them.

Nice work Basta. This is a very interesting and rather... unique character, to say the least which is why I didn't make a fuss and accepted it right away. This character's personality is definitely going to be the source of a lot of comic relief, I can tell.

Good work, and welcome aboard!

Re: Character Profiles

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby FamishedPants on Fri Nov 23, 2012 7:29 pm

Full Name: Dalton Conway

Synopsis: "Stay gold, Spartans."

Name: Dalton-501

Image

Callsign: Rambo

AI: Chidori

AI Personality: Oftentimes, publically, Chidori is the bane of Dalton's existence. While he, for the most part, is straight and to the point, she has the attentionspan of a small girl, funnily enough. Most of the time, you can see a cut little smile playing her lips and she absolutely has to say everything with enthusiasm regardless of the circumstance. Annoyingly enough, her childlike personality extends to her loyalty, meaning she will always ask Dalton first before she'll do something for someone else, and if he's hurt or genuinely angered, she'll back him up... regardless of how harmless her look is or her higher-pitched voice sounds.

Appearance: Chidori's avatar steals its looks from an old show that once ran on Earth. She glows a bright-blue which might be attributed to the fact that the character she was based on had hair of that same color. She looks no older than twelve and wears a top that shows her bare shoulders, as well as a good chunk of her chest - enough to show cleavage if she had any. At the ends of her sleeves are cuffs, and she even has buttoned straps that go right over her shoulders to keep the shirt up...somewhat. She also owns rather shorter skirt and socks that reach up to her thighs, and finally a pair of brown boots. Her hair would be long had it not been tied up in some assortment of bows.

Age: 35
Height W/O Armor: 6' 4"
Height W/ Armor: 6' 9"
Weight W/O Armor: 276 lbs
Weight W/ Armor: 1513 lbs

Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Blue (Augmented Blue)
Skin Tone: Tan
Notable Physical Traits:

Due to an airborne warthog, Dalton has a scar that runs from his top-right shoulder, diagnally across about half of his chest.

Personality:

Dalton has always been strong, willing, determined and to the point in character. During idle time, he allows himself to joke only a little, but never to an extreme unless he's hit the bottles a bit too much, which can happen when he's stressed to the point of explosion. He's bound by respect, and if you do well in both the battlefield and out, he'll make sure to tell you. However, this also works the other way around, and because this is more often, some tend to dislike his straightforwardness. During 'serious time', he will not tolerate disobedience or jokes as that can lead to the death of his comrades, which is something he had seen far too much and tries his best to avoid. That trait leads some to believe there isn't simply a soldier under there, but a man as well, though he'd never admit to that when he's sober. Because of his experience with both the convenant and human foes alike, he is often your choice to go to if you need advice, leadership or even a sparring partner. Dalton is constantly seen closing his eyes and shaking his head at Chidori, who simply seems to be made for the sole-purpose of annoying him. Her inability to 'talk like an AI should' seems to get on Dalton's bad side quite often. It would almost seem as if he dispised her, except that they can sometimes be shown sharing a father/daughter relationship. After all, one marine made the mistake of insulting her and received quite the beating because of it.

Possibly in realtion to that, he can be seen with a completely uncharacteristic soft side, especially if there has been a recent loss.

Likes:
+ A good drink
+ A mission well done
+ Someone who can earn his respect.
+ A loss rate of 0%
+Chidori

Dislikes:
-Disobedience while on a mission
-Covenant
-Airborne warthogs
-Plasma Weapons
-Chidori
-Disrespect towards Chidori

Quirks: Dalton has an odd way of speech that is slightly reminiscant of people from long ago (You'll see what I mean when he speaks). When very agitated, he has the habit of both outstretching his fingers and clenching his fists, and when in a down mood, you can see him run his hands through his hair. A rumor (spread by Chidori in secret) is that he lays on his back normally, and when unhappy, he switches to his side while he sleeps.

Equipment/Training History: When Dalton was but a six-year old, he was initiated as one of the very last candidates to be thrown into the Spartan-III program. Even at a young age, they put him through obstacle courses and tests that even full-grown marines would be intimidated by, and that was only the beginning. His body pushed to the limit by the daily training that made use of everything his body had by forcing him to run, forcing him to lift and forcing him to succeed made sure that physically, he was perfect. And then they put him through both weapons and martial arts training. His instructor, Sergeant Jinguji, discovered that he had not a single specialty.... he was great with most any weapon, or at first that seemed to be the case. When they developed him further on with higher and more defining tests of weapon proficiencey, they would soon discover he was effective with just about every weapon, though he didn't excel at any one. He was... balanced. Even in CQC, he didnt' favor any one extreme - he'd punch and kick just as often as each other, and he'd defend just as well, which made it neigh impossible for his other Spartan recruits to beat him in that regard.

Dalton would pass the requirements for becoming a Spartan-IV without any need for unecessary extra training, but they did evaluate him, and he's become a little bit better in every regard, but had began showing favor in mid-range combat.

Quite a while later, after many years of combat, the Spartan-IV was granted with the chance to become a Spartan-V. He thought that just like his previous 'Uprgrade', that he'd be able to simply take a short eval and be done with it, but that was not the case, and through rigorous training that equally outdid anything the Spartan-III program threw at him, he was 'upgraded' once more. He still managed the same instructor, however old she was now. This time around, Jinguji decided that he might as well work on physical fitness rather than weapon skill, as he was experienced enough in that regard to not worry much. He still worked on his mid-range combat, sparking a favor for the assualt rifle in the end and it has been decided that in the even that someone needs a double (a sniper needs a spotter/cosniper, close-range combat would be better suited for this situation, etc) Dalton would be the best to substitute.

He was, after all, versatile.

Biography:

Before he was thrust into the Spartan-III program, Dalton had a fondness for the UNSC already developing in his little mind. His father, a Sergeant, was his idol, his inspiration for everytime he played soccer or did anything to its fullest. He would play each and every game with the other kids until he nearly collapsed from exaustion, and he'd always cry tears of joy when his father came home to see him. But when he was six, he found out that his father would not be coming home, and that he had died during a fight with Prometheans and Covenant. He developed a want for utter revenge, and this made him the perfect candidate for the first of his Spartan programs, the Spartan-III Program.

Like any other Spartan, he went through basic training to get his feet in the ground. Due to his active nature prior to being enlisted, the training was not as hard on him as most others, and with a new, more passionate goal in mind, he felt the weeks fly by as if they were nothing. He would both grow to respect and earn the respect of the instructer at the time, Marimo Jinguji, a Sergeant. Though his progress was outstanding, and he raised the standard for his other Spartan-III's, she noticed that he'd anger quickly and that led to a lot of bloodied fists with the others. This problem became more prominant when he was ten, and just before he began training with firearms. Jinguji would later ask that he be given occasional time with a therapist to see if they could remedy that, and because they didn't want a Spartan with anger problems killing their own men, his firearms training was delayed for three months. Wanting to spit him out at the same time as the others, he received special tutoring with guns instead of a lunch time. He now ate only when he had to.

They noticed something, and that was that his scores never seemed to be low with any of the firearms he handled. After a short while with the pistol, he was hitting targets with some decent accuracey. After giving him a SMG, he would be able to keep his arm steady and the spray on his mark without too much waste of led. And even though they started whole months ahead of him, Dalton made it hard to keep up with his scores on all fronts, for a time. When the others started 'maxing' out, he never did and kept an average with all of his weapons.

It was around fifteen or sixteen that they ran another evaluation upon the recruits before pumping them full of that 'Spartan Juice'. His physical shape was excellent, he was very strong, pretty agile, a bit quick, and could outlast his Spartan Brethren. He did good at the weapons course, though in each field, someone else who excelled in that particular weapon beat him easily. In the end, he was deemed fit and thusly was augmented in Camp Toccoa, a replacement for Camp Currahee.

Immediately after, he was thrust into the war between the UNSC against both Promethean and Covenant forces. His first mission was with a downed UNSC cruiser dubbed 'The Alamo', where he was forced to keep unrelenting forces at bay for a length of about six days while reinforcements made their way to the place. They were more than well equipped for that long, as the armories in the ship hadn't been damaged in the slightest, nor the 'hogs. At first, that was a blessing, but during one of the last waves of enemies during the fifth day, Dalton took a warthog, launched airborne by a grenade spat back by a Watcher, to the chest, nearly killing him and killing two other Spartan-III's in the process. The remaining forces managed to hold off while Dalton was incapacitated and he was immeditately tended to as they fled, ready for action a week later, but not without permanent scarring.

For three years did he wage war against his enemies, two officially, considering the rest was mop-up operations to ensure that they didn't pull anything against the UNSC, and at the end of it, he was offered a position as a Spartan-IV, which he accepted, and because he was already a Spartan, he needed no surgery to get his fine-and-dandy set of Mjolnir GEN 2 armor, which he grew to like over the next 17 years of service doing anything a Spartan could do: Protecting important individuals from rebels, who became a problem once more after the wars were over. He hated it, but he was forced against his own kind for so long that he forgot who was his friend and who was an enemy for a time, only finally remembering when he was asked to, oddly enough, become a Spartan again. Spartan V's? He'd never heard of them, nor saw a point in it at first. He figured it to be just like the IV's - Men with power armor, nothing like III's or II's, though after that hell of a training course, he could see that this was no picnic.

But Dalton had lived through hell and had come back from it time in again - those rebels were relentless, and the time he spent against the Prometheans and Covanent was no stroll in the park either, so unsurprisingly, he was not only the first candidate to pass, but also the best, of course that was probably because he had more years of experience on him that any of the others had lived. Well, he was easily beaten in the long-range combat aspect of any tests against the rest, but that was because he mostly favored mid-range at this point. But would he taunt them? Of course not, they were children and he was a battle-hardened man! Soon enough, they'd shine, and some did. He noticed a girl quite fond of close-range combat and shotguns, and he noticed another girl, though a bit loud-mouthed and disorderly, was good with explosives. Fine Spartans, these'd prove to be.

Training wasn't the only thing Dalton had to go through - Unlike becoming a Spartan IV, Dalton wasn't excused from the process because the Spartan V's were like the Spartan-II's and III's combined! Pun definetly intended. While they had high numbers, they also had the augmentations of a Spartan-II, maybe better, and because Dalton was NOT a Spartan-II, his Augments were lacking in comparison. He underwent the procedure to 'upgrade' himself.... and died during it. Two whole minutes he was dead, supposedly unaccepted by the matter, but he was revived by medical personnal, and continued forwards until it was completed.

Now all that was left was to receive his armor and AI-unit. Another hand on the battlefield? He'd gladly accept, because information was just as important as skill. For without information, an experienced soldier is no better than a grunt. A small smile played on his lips as he looked at his unactivated AI unit, and he pressed the button eagerly, maybe he'd get an AI-with a warrior's way of thinking! Maybe it'd be someone to counter him when he got angry, he could always use that! Maybe..... it was the worst thing to happen to him since being smacked with a vehicle. He pressed the button, and instead of the partner he was hoping for, he got a little girl. An annoying little girl. It took no more than thirty minutes for him to request a new one, and he was denied that request. He even offered it away, but it was mandatory for V's to have an AI - they weren't going to risk their investments dying due to lack of information. He even tried playing the Spartan-XIII card, considering that that was what he technically was, but to no avail.

Dalton had his Orihalcum armor designed after his old set which gives it similar apperances to that of the Warrior variant of the Mjolnir GEN 2 model. It is identical in just about every way appearance-wise, though it weighs more than any other Orihalcum armor to make use of Dalton's abilities. Because he went through two seperate Spartan Procedures, he is thusly stronger than any others. However, he decided to make use of this strength by adding extra plating to his armor, and when in his armor, it he appears no stronger than he would if he hadn't gone through the Spartan-III program. That being said, don't get into a fight with him armorless, you're bound to lose. Well, don't get in a fight with him period.

He was forced to come to terms with the fact he was stuck with... her. It was subtle, but over the course of a year, he began developing feelings for her. Not romantic feelings because he isn't sure he's capable of that anyways, but almost as if she is his child. He realized this during one of his rants to her about being more mature, more AI-like when he knocked a fellow Spartan-V into next week for laughing at her appearance. That didn't go unpunished, but people agree that that particular Spartan-V was a douche anyways, and he had a less-severe punishement.

Dalton is the first member of Halsey, and acts like a fathering figure towards the group. Regardless of the situation, Dalton isn't seen dumbfounded on what he can do as long as he has the proper weapons, and therefore, he is a suitable replacement if a specialist is injured or otherwise unable to complete their task. When he isn't needed to replace someone, he acts almost like a one-man-army, which is where he earned his callsign from.

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Nekohina on Sat Nov 24, 2012 6:42 am

(changes from original will be bolded)
Name: Hunter-1000
Synopsis: I can breathe? Then I can fight.
Image

Callsign: Dunk
AI: Ashe

AI Personality: Ashe has a condescending attitude when she addresses Hunter, she finds his overall attitude and behavior to be immature and as such treats him like a child. If she isn't being sarcastic and condescending to her partner she speaks in a rather eloquent tone, it's those moments that scare Hunter the most...from there she can switch to whining and she whines well enough to drive him insane. When she addresses others, she is quite formal and polite, with none of the attitude and sarcasm present. She also is a genuine joy to talk, if she were a human, she'd be the life of any party she walked into.

Age: 23
Height W/O Armor:6'4
Height W/ Armor:6'8
Weight W/O Armor: 298 lbs
Weight W/ Armor: 1398lbs

Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Green
Skin Tone: Pale
Notable Physical Traits: keeps a well trimmed beard and mustache.

Personality: Hunter is generally lazy and apathetic in appearance but when it's business time, he means business. On the battlefield, he's like a child at play, which is in fact what's going on as far as he's concerned, but by no means is he a battle maniac. Just like his AI, he also talks with a lot of sarcasm and is eager to make fun of just about anything. A great example is that he calls being dropped from orbit a Chaos Dunk, while any other free drop mission is merely Dunking the enemy. If something really big and or dangerous shows up on the battlefield, it's become common practice to turn on his mic as he'll do a shrill scream of excitement before calling dibs about a dozen times. But he'll also bitch about a boring fight.

That being said, aside or maybe because of his attitude he's actually very easy to handle if one figures out how to make it sound fun, or use his basics drives: adrenaline, food and a certain appendage that makes all men dumb at times. Granted the last one is rather hard to pick up on, after all sexual harassment seems like a form of greeting to him, if not breathing. He's childish in his approach to it, like it's a game...his default approach to life, but it still has its influences with him. With that being said, he harasses both men and women despite openly claiming to be straight, and while it'd kill him to admit it he's still a nice guy.

Likes/Dislikes: Games, competition, music, food and relaxing
Quirks: Hunter is prone to zoning out when he thinks, frequently reverting to autopilot when it occurs complete with vacant expression. He's also very easily distracted, if someone is waving something around in a conversation, he's more likely to tune them out and follow the object. He is prone to touching in a conversation, either leaning on or having someone lean on him.

Equipment/Training History: Hunter had been trained with the other Spartans since the young age of five, he was one of the youngest in the program. Early on he had established himself as a problem child, never following orders and frequently shirking off to do his own thing. He would have been dropped from the program, except they found he had a fascination with swords after breaking into the weapons locker. With time of play, with was actually training with the swords as a reward, he started to behave like the instructors wanted him. During this period, they believed that getting him to work in a unit was impossible, so they focused his training entirely on Independent Action Operations, or course with sword time as his reward. Since he was naturally ambidextrous, he was trained in dual wielding them from the get go and he proved best at high speed strikes and counters.

In a fight, he likes to get in close as fast as possible and let his circular yet precise dual style handle his enemies. If he isn't able to use his swords, he'll use any other weapon that's best for the job. As part of independent operations, he carries any gear he made need on his own person this includes: his prized swords, a set of pistols and an assault riffle that can be stripped down and converted with a sniper rifle, all using the same round. At This is a detail many harp on since on a team, there is no need for him to carry the extra gear. He still insists on carrying it, claiming that it's effectively back up gear for everyone else; a detail few can argue against. It's still suspected that he carries it around out of spite. His suit has a built in jet pack, but he uses it to enhance his ability to evade and move quickly as apposed to flying through the air. If he happens to be unable to use his blades and run out of ammo, he can go hand-to-hand; after all Spartans and trained to be masters of everything on the field. It still stands that is specialty is blades and he sticks to his swords as much as possible.

Biography:Hunter was born in the year 2562 to an ODST and a researcher who had worked with Spartans and had come to borderline worship their existence, so when the Spartan V program was created they eagerly signed their son up as a prospect. He grew up hearing endless stories of Spartans, and a typical military brat life. While his abilities weren't as high as the other candidates, his ability to learn and adapt to situations were well above expected margins, leading to his acceptance into the program.

First day of training occurred before he had turned six, in terms of age he was the fourth youngest in the entire program. He proved to be a problem child from day one, a massive disappointment to his parents but he wasn't allowed to contact them during this time. Things grew ever worse, until one month into the program which was when they discovered his love of blades. After that, the scientists and instructors began getting the results that they were expected: his adaptation and learning rates were through the roof and his body seemed to naturally understand the basics.

By age nine, the data hinted that his growth rate in terms of ability was the highest amongst the recruit, which was readily noted. It was also at this time that they began training him in independent operations, it was deemed rather early to conduct this training. But with the rate he was learning, and his general attitude nearly forced the event to occur, after all it's easier to waste a bit of effort on a product yet to be completed than to jeopardize the entire batch. They also switched from drills, which he hated to live combat simulations in order to train him...this also seemed the better training method. But from that point on, he was directly supervised by older Spartans for optimal results. The end result: by augmentation time, his blade work was unmatched and he could hold his own against anything but either a super elite or specialist in a given combat field.

Augmentation had proven to be a dreamlike procedure for surgeons, it was the text book version of ideal. It was during rehabilitation that the problems showed up, his body began a positive feedback reaction with the augmentations. Further analysis showed that his body was desperate to bond with the enhancements. His rehabilitation required many drugs to keep his body from bonding too much the add-ons and even induce some rejections to keep him stable. But after nearly half a year, he finally pulled through. His training began as soon as he was able, and he had a lot to catch up on, he was now severely behind his fellows. During this time, they reintegrated him back into the main program and after further evaluation he was no longer fit for Independent Action, the augments had gotten rid of his natural edge. To make up for this, his remaining training time was spent nearly entirely focused on team work and functioning within a unit. During this time he was shunted across no less than a dozen teams(accumulating extreme amounts of practical experience) until they found the perfect match with Team Halsey.

When he was twenty-one he finally got Ashe, and the relationship between the two of them was established within the first minute of their meeting. The two were separated but after a series of trials it was determined that the two of them worked best together. His armor looks different than standard armor, a lot like samurai armor of old, but much sleeker. The Orihalcum resulting in a black coloring and making the suit significantly tougher than what one would expect. His body is extremely well formed, like chiseled marble and he's never been shy about it...more like overly open with it. He has a reputation of spiting women by ignoring things such as looks and openly flirting with just about everyone, mostly due to a lack of idea of his commitment to a relationship.

When they were being deployed to Bacchius Prime, he'd endlessly begged to Chaos Dunk to the surface. Of course this action was denied since it was not necessary under operating conditions, he's bitched about it ever since.

Name: Jason-012
Picture:

Image
Image
Image(Face shot)
Image

Callsign: Renegade
AI: Serina
AI Personality:
Serina is an interesting AI that is not afraid to stand up for her partner and the other Spartans if needed. She has a sarcastic, witty personality base, but while she is sarcastic, she is very intelligent and capable and will face death for her partner. She may come off as very rude and uncaring but she really does care about Jason and the other members of squad hansley. She is designed as an athletic woman with a long sleeved shirt and pants with a pair of commanderā€™s boots.

Age: 25
Height W/O Armor: 7ā€™0 (trying to keep the classic Spartan appearance)
Height W/ Armor: 7ā€™4
Weight W/O Armor: 300 pounds
Weight W/ Armor: 1,336 pounds

Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Murky Green
Skin Tone: Tan

Personality:
Jason is the kind of person that prefers to let his actions speak for themselves. He is a very driven person that is relentless in his chase for victory but also very caring when it comes to his teammates. Jason is one of those people who are very unpredictable and will do almost anything to protect ā€œhisā€ soldiers, ā€œhisā€ AI and ā€œhisā€ team and succeed at the mission at hand. He seems somewhat cold because he will keep moving with only a few seconds pause when a soldier dies under his command, maybe thatā€™s because he understands that necessary sacrifices must be made or that he understands mortality that well, he knows both, but also in truth he really caries that pain mentally.

Jason is a very stoic person in general and is also very intelligent and an excellent tactician. He knows what it takes to be a soldier and knows that sometimes you have to turn your heart to stone. Jason thinks of himself more as a soldier than a man, a moving machine of war. He is the kind of person who works in a team to win because he knows teamwork is the best weapon in a war and is very loyal. He is truly a person who follows the no man left behind rule and is a true Spartan to the core. He has also show a high degree of leadership during missions in the past and is a very good leader in the field and on the sidelines.

Likes: Winning, Serina, His team, the soldiers under him, A challenge, knowing heā€™s done something for the right cause
Dislikes: Losing in any way, Lairs, people who hide behind the mask of good intentions, losing men needlessly
Quirks: Jason doesnā€™t show much quirks but he has some, like when he gets angry his fists seem to clench up for a few seconds, also when suspicious he will ask multiple questions, as well as tapping his foot when anxious

Equipment/Training History:
When Jason joined the program it has just been started, and he was trained with some of the best. Jason stood out by showing remarkable athletic skill and showing the drive to win and succeed at everything he did which made him the top of the Spartan class. He had shown great interest in the use of all weaponry, but seems to like using weapons such as the assault rifle and battle rifles as his base weapon during training. He seems to like these adaptable weapons the best and incorporates them into his hard fighting style. He is best fighting in an all-out battle leading from the front lines

He also seems to carry a variety of weapons with him on every mission, so that he can cover all bases if necessary. He is trained to take command of any situation turning it from a bad one to a good one in a matter of seconds. His main fighting style is to try his options at all levels when needed, he is very adaptable. He was trained by a retired Spartan II in his training. He is truly determined to be one of the best and help his teammates and his country.

Biography:

Jason was born to a small family in Colorado and lived the first four years of his life normally, he went to school and such, but the thing that made him different was that while he was naturally talented, he relied more on hard work than his talent. During the days during observation he had shown unending drive to succeed, one day he was introduced to a game called last man standing were the children would be tested for acceptance. The object was simple, the job was to get a coin of the inclined hill first, and during the match Jason was beaten harshly by other, but still forced himself to his feet. In the end Jason literally when his legs had gone numb dragged himself to victory up the hill and getting the coin first. This was the thing that got him considered for the Spartan V project. He was taken at the age of five to the Spartan V training facility and there his training began. He at first did not know where he was and like any other child cried the first few nights. That was when he learned the first rule of being a Spartan, never show emotion and he was punished for this with extra laps and cut rations. Harshness was common in the program, and they drilled the trainees for hours on end and the though the training was tough Jason came to appreciate it later on.

Jason had an okay time during his stay at the training facility, though one child, Mark seemed to get under Jasonā€™s skin with his superior attitude. Jason seemed to stick by a regular schedule and tried to do all assignment to the best of his ability. The one subject though that plagued him most was Math in general, he was never good at any of it so he worked harder on it and managed to get one of the other students to help him on some of it. This soon became an underlying problem because of Mark started picking at this point which lead to full on fights between the two and their hot blooded rivalry increased into an all-out war. There fights got worse and worse as they progressed in age and finally boiled down into the fighting and yelling openly.

Jason soon went on the first combat oriented when he was fourteen and succeeded on the highest of levels on his first mission. After many other training missions he was assigned to a main training mission with Mark when he was sixteen. On this mission Mark was severely wounded by enemy fire and Jason when out of his way to drag Mark to safety. In another event he boldly took on an Elite Zealot in battle and managed to come out alive by outthinking the Elite and impaling him with his own energy sword, although suffering heavy wounds in the process. In the end the brass decided to advance Jason by giving him the enhancements. He then proceeded to go on heavier mission in the new design of Spartan V armor. After these missions he was joined by the AI named Serina and was put under the care of a retired Spartan II for the rest of his training.

Jason was soon sent off on explicit missions that were black inked afterwards. During this time period Jason meet up with the four other Spartans that would become his teammates. Soon the announcement to put up a new Spartan team was announced and Jason was quickly accepted to team Hansly. Since the day he started it seemed like a perfect fit and he showed chemistry with the other Spartans on the team. He has since served under this team faithfully and hopes that he is doing the right thing to serve his country and the people in it and while the is no leader to team hansly, Jason functions as the "head of the beast" in a maner of speaking trying to keep the team together and keep them driving forward like any good leader would though there is no leader to the team.

Hey Endgame.

This profile is pretty good, but there is a detail that kept showing up that I have a problem with. It's the same problem I had with Neko's profile at first, and this is the phrase which I didn't like: "considered by many to be one of the best Spartanā€™s to date". This is just presumptuous and sounds like an excuse to god-mode your character into a position of higher power than the others, and as such I'd like it removed.

I can understand your character having the drive to be one of the best, but being considered one of the best SPARTANs to date sounds like you're placing him way up there on a level to which the others aren't even close.

Also, your reasons for placing him in the SPARTAN V group are pretty vague and it seems to me like it was too easy for him to get in just by acting like a soldier. He didn't do anything extraordinary to catch the eye of the team in charge of the program from what I'm seeing, so try adding some more detail as to why he'd be accepted into the SPARTAN V program. They don't just pick SPARTAN candidates willy nilly you know, they have a selection protocol to observe and they need better reasons than dragging a wounded soldier to safety.

Doing well in training and being a solid soldier on the front lines is a good place to start, but try adding in something like "he was able to conquer the odds against *insert enemy here* by *insert cool action sequence here*" or something like that. Something that makes him stand out without placing him in a god-moding situation. There is a fine line to walk in this regard, but I think you can do it.

Re: Character Profiles

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Deallo on Sun Nov 25, 2012 8:11 pm

Anyway, guys, I'm a bit confused as to the weight of an ODST battle suit. I made it only around 113 lbs, so if anyone knows, please tell me if I'm right or wrong because, well, you Spartans need to lose some weight c:

If anyone knows who's in the picture, you're officially awesome.

Name: Jacki Seras -ODST-
Image
Callsign: Saint Charles

Age: 45
Height W/O Armor: 5'6
Height W/ Armor: 5'8
Weight W/O Armor: 187
Weight W/ Armor: 213

Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Light brown
Skin Tone: Tanned
Notable Physical Traits: On the left half of his face, there's some VERY noticeable scarring caused by a needler, one crystal scar right above his eye, another in the center of his cheek, and the last in his cheekbone. In his right side, plasma burns riddles his body from the hip up to the top of his ribs. A long thick scar is diagonal from his shoulder to waist from the blade of a brute's grenade launcher. There is thirty-three stitches on the top of his skull from close-quarters combat with an elite.

Personality: Calm and intelligent. Jacki is polite and well-mannered, and often carries himself out as such, although at times his ideals can unintentionally create an air of superiority. On missions, he's disciplined and orderly, often the man with the goal on any mission is "everyone survives" instead of "eliminate the enemy". He'd rather bide his spare time with books and chess instead of sparing or target practice but he recognizes the necessity of keeping himself in shape with the latter regardless.

In times, he comes across as a smart-ass to negative comments, but he's submissive enough to apologize, do away with grudges and doesn't let petty squabbles get in between him and a fellow soldier, so he's a pretty good guy altogether. Often, heā€™s the optimist, being either the first or second soldier to crack out bad jokes and sarcastic remarks when things go sideways. Jacki forces himself to be emotionally in check, no time on any mission would be the right time to lash out in anger or sink in depression, and thus it's hard for him to express gratitude and heart. However, his loyalty to comrades is strong and his bravery is tremendous. His scars speak for themselves.

Likes/Dislikes: Likes - Getting along with others, when things go according to plan, having control either in the fight and/or in personal life, staying in the back of the group, making the mission successful, open areas, using a variety of military tactics, books- literature in particular, chess, intelligent conversation, regular conversation.

Dislikes ā€“ Friction in the team, being abandoned and/or the last man standing, having someone in the team die, being forced in close-combat, when things donā€™t go according to plan, failing a mission, being forced to take the low ground, losing control and/or restraint, checkers, his low tolerance to alcohol.

Quirks: Hand Gestures - Outside of the armor (and on occasions in armor) he'll make hand gestures while he speaks, although itā€™s only while heā€™s talking to someone in person.

Talks to himself: ā€“ Whenever there isnā€™t anyone around to talk to, heā€™ll hold conversations with himself.

Breath...Breath - Saint Charles takes deep, long breathes to calm him down whenever he's scared, or trying to keep himself from falling apart.

Face-palm - Whenever someone says or does something utterly stupid, Charles can't help but be a bit condescending, and face-palm himself accordingly.

Spot of tea?:- Born on Earth (Britain, to be specific) His accent is difficult to kill, making him sound like he should do the voiceover of a boring documentary.

Soldier's Tongue - Either when he's angry, scared, or a bit of both, he'll swear eloquently to vent it out.

Equipment/Training History: Jackiā€™s first day as a soldier, he trained with an assault rifle, clocking out rather sub-par scores, unable to control the recoil of automatic weapons. However, when he worked with the battle rifle, his scores were impressive. With semi-automatics: sniper rifle, pistol, DMR, or battle rifle, his accuracy was excellent and thus was put in a long-range tactical unit. After six years fighting the covenant, he tried out to be a part of the ODST, and made the screening process. Heā€™s much more comfortable out in the back sniping, going forward providing reconnaissance, or keeping someone from bleeding out on the floor.

After fighting in the ODST, he learned another one of his specialties also included sneaking around the enemy, either to prevent a battle and head towards the objective, or to get the drop by assuming a more tactical position. Another thing he learned as his dead squad mates told him, is that heā€™s a ā€œcrazy Son-of-a-bitchā€ in close-combat, and Jacki would be hard-pressed to deny it even though he mostly relies on shoving his gun in somethings face (no metaphor intended). Some covenant bastard could get the drop on him while heā€™s sniping or just doing recon, and though he could kick the ass of a grunt or a jackel, anything bigger would involve him getting dirty with a few grenades and the barrel of a gun jammed down the thingā€™s mouth. He hates close-combat, mainly because itā€™s always moments in which he gets drastically hurt or injured and refers to medium-range combat before he gets up and close, unless there are dire circumstances.

Jacki prefers evasion, protection, preservation, and control over the battlefield over the scope of his rifle. Order in the midst of chaos.

Biography: Born on Earth, he lived in London, Britain, and much to his fatherā€™s dismay wanted to be a UNSC soldier, specifically a SPARTAN. However, once he learned that it was impossible, seeing how he was 15 at the time he found out he needed to be entered in at an early age, he settled on being a soldier. He was quite smart in school and by the age of 18, married his high-school sweetheart Lenina, and left to join the UNSC when he thought he impregnated her and gave most, if not all, the funds of his service to his wife. The reason why he was so interested in being part of the military was that Jacki always felt like the covenant was an ominous presence, ready to make humanity extinct at any instinct, and the only thing he could do was fight them before they hit Earth.

Physically fit, he entered the marines, and while in weapons training, his instructors noticed he had great accuracy with long range weapons, thus, they put him with a long-range tactical unit. Though it was called as such, the covenant had no care for names, and more often then so, they fought in medium and close-ranged combat. After about six years, he volunteered for the ODST, and made the screening process. This is generally around the same time the Prometheans entered the fray, and Jackiā€™s third encounter with them came unexpectedly while he was in a downed UNSC cruiser dubbed ā€œthe Alamo.ā€ It was by far, the second-most grueling task heā€™d ever had, to defend the crashed ship against the Prometheans and Covenant. He saw lots of things happen, scary and odd things, like a team of Spartans getting hit by a flying warthog.

Aftewards, he was given a few medals of honor and a month's leave, Jacki consummated a son with Lenina, then going through the forms necessary to make their son go through training as a SPARTAN when he was just five. He had the proper gene pool and the proper support from his soldier of a father to be the super-soldier he never could be and researcher of a mother who worked in developing the new SPARTAN program. Then, Jacki went back to the UNSC. then came back a following year to have a daughter named Jessica.

After the Prometheans and Covenant, he was involved with the war with the rebels. Jacki doesnā€™t like to bring up the rebel war, counter-terrorism operations and recovery/capture of important persons and/or documents were set among other things.

In a surprise visit back home after five years of absence, he discovered his wife cheating on him with another man. Divorce proceedings were in order. He still supported his divorced wife, until Jessica turned eighteen years old four years ago, wiring his money over to her to pay for her education as a doctor.

The last task he was in, his team was killed in combat during a mission gone sideways on an abandoned jungle planet. All communications with the UNSC severed when the satellite radio in his helmet broken during close-quarter combat with an Elite, and the bodies of his comrades were swept in a giant river, he needed to bide his town and survive while his head was split open. With a splint and painkillers, Jacki kept himself from bleeding to death and crawling up in a fetal ball of pain, and with a sniper rifle spied on the covenant for about three days, to formulate a plan. Although well aware of the gruntsā€™ cowardice in past experiences, he noticed the strained relationship between the jackals and the grunts, and how often it was the leaders of the squad that kept it all together. After gathering the necessary plasma weapons from the bodies of dead jackals and practicing his aim with the new guns, he took the next two weeks killing the leaders that governed squads with covenant rifles in a sneaky hit-and-run fashion.

As predicted, once authority started to dissolve, the grunts accused the jackals of murdering their commanders, and the two started in-fighting, separated in two factions, and fought amongst one another. On the third week, a team of SPARTANs arrived, found and extracted Saint Charles amongst a slew of dead covenant bodies. The UNSC gave him a psychological evaluation, and after passing it successfully, they gave Jacki two weeks leave to rest. Apparently, the UNSC sought him to be impressive, impressive enough to join Halseyā€™s team of SPARTAN Vs. Though just a slight uncomfortable at the thought of being neck to neck with super soldiers, he hasnā€™t voiced any concerns over the matter.

Well a spartan suit are really, really heavy because of all its metal weights about a good 1,000 pounds on Spartan II's and even with the new advanced Spartan V armor it weights about 800-900 pounds of weight and one of the reasons a normal marine couldn't wear one is because it would crush them from the outside in. The other is that as read in Halo: Reach the suit causes the body to bend itself into very... well... unconfortable shapes. Even with all that you have to remeber Spartans carry a almost walking armory of gear which adds weight, The ODST armor weight would only about twenty five, thirty pounds tops (since you soldier does not has the enhancements of a Spartan and you have to have room to carry about a good nine to ten pound rifle or at least a four pound pistol and rounds) you have to think that weight would maybe break the poor guy's back(please don't take any offense on this just putting in my two-bits :) (a just in case note) , unless he has a high level of stregth to him. Though I do have to say cool sig and really great profile :) .

Nah, just relatively confused because everyone's walking beef tanks, carrying a few hundred pounds on their backs, so I don't really know the norm of space-marine strength.

[Edit] So I basically edited the weight of the armor. Can't wait for the RP to get started and for Charles to be really, really insecure.

Plus I got this friend who's a halo buff, she made this legit Spartan armor that weighs about 100 lbs.

Thanks Endgame, took me a couple of days to piece it together. (The profile I mean. The signature actually belongs to a friend of mine.)

Yeah at first I really didn't know how much the spartan armor weighed, because MC makes it look so effortless, but I looked it up in my halo book I have and man was I shocked too, way heavier than I thought.
