Sybil nodded. "Basic reading, then. Simple past, present, future sound good to you?" She fingered the latches of the box. "I'd like to offer you a price, and forgive me if it sounds odd." Taking a deep breath, she centered herself - she'd had many supernatural beings ask her for readings before, and many had been dissatisfied with her prices - while she didn't know what this woman was, it was fair to say she probably wasn't human, what with a ghost hanging around her and whatnot. But real fortunes didn't come cheap, and she was prepared to be turned down if that was what needed to be done. "I'd like one night of dreams from you, please." She glanced at Jinx, who gave her the feline form of an affirmative, acknowledging that he thought it was a fair price, as well.

She leaned forward a bit and clasped her hands together, her toes curling up. "It's not as creepy as it sounds, I assure you. All I'd like is to be able to visit your dreams for one night, and in doing so, gain a bit of nourishment for myself. I'm speaking fairly candidly with you, ma'am, but I've been having a bit of difficulty lately making sure that I stay healthy. I assure you that my intrusion on your mind will cause you no ill effects - if anything, your dreams will be more pleasant. And, as it is in these things, I will be bound by my own word to speak of nothing I see there to anyone but you, and only should you ask me to speak on them with you."

She opened her hands to show that she was finished, and sat back again, waiting for the woman to make her decision, as Jinx leaped into her lap.

Raikou thought about it not going to just make a choose without thinking it through like an idiot. She had to say that the price was a bit of a surprise. She was thinking that the girl was going to ask for money or something that humans mostly use to trade. She was willing the let Sybil see her dreams, but a warning is something that even she thought she owed the girl.

"I agree to your terms. I must warn you that my dreams are anything, but pleasant." She didn't want to be held reasonable for scarring her mind or something like that. Good dreams was something that she didn't have and she couldn't remember the last time she had a full nights sleep. "Also any and ever thing you see will not leave your mouth." Ice bit at her every word making the room alittle colder, if she wasn't a wolf Anna would a thought she was a vampire. At least she was talking even if it was still very short, it was still sentences. Maybe it was a very good idea on her part for making Raikou come here.

Raikou looked at her wondering if she was going to back out because of her warning. She would be fine with it if Sybil felt too much at risk if she looked into her past. She was really just here was the future part not knowing what would happen if her past was unlocked. She sighed feeling the invisible ice around her tighten around her as they waited for her answer.

Sybil grinned coldly. "I assure you, I will speak not a word of it. And trust me, I know all about bad dreams." She sighed and pulled off the red bandanna that covered her forehead, allowing the other woman to see her third eye for the first time. "The deal is accepted, so now for the reading."

She opened the deck and with practiced ease shuffled the cards, then laid out three in a row, flipping the deck upside downward when she was done.

"Your past," Sybil began, pointing at the card on the far left. "The Hermit, reversed. A long period of loneliness and a retreating from the world around you. It's possible that this was due to the fact that the world around you was causing you pain. It is understandable.

"Next, your present." Sybil pointed at the center card. "The Hanged Man, also reversed. You are making sacrifices, although for yourself or another, I am unclear. The important thing is to know that these sacrifices are not helping your situation. Examine your actions and motives, as well as the motives of those around you. You are wasting your time. Move on."

Sybil pointed to the card on the far right. "Your future, which I'm assuming is why you are truly here. Judgment. The current phase of your life will be coming to an end, and soon you will need to look back and assess your progress. Also, something that has been lost will be found. Be patient."

And lastly, she lifted the card from the bottom of the deck. "The..." Sybil glanced up again at the woman. "The High Priestess. I have reason to believe that the deck is telling me that this is your card. Remember that, it may come in... very handy... in the future."

Sybil's mind flashed back to her previous reading for the Prince. She frowned. "I have held up my end of the bargain. And now I must ask that you tell me what you are," she said softly.

Oriana looked down at the last of her texts with annoyance. Every other text she'd been reading about the Prometheans referenced this book, claiming it to be the foremost text on the subject. She'd spent an hour looking through the study and had finally found it hidden away in the back, and now that she'd opened it, eager to continue learning, she found that she couldn't read it. The entire book was written in a language unlike anything she'd ever seen before, and she had no way to decipher it, no idea of where to even begin. She bit her lip for a moment, and then looked towards the exit determinedly, dispelling the protection she'd placed on it earlier and getting ready to leave the building. This city is full of the supernatural, she thought, passing through the door and walking down the steps and out into the street, someone is bound to know where to find someone who can translate this for me.

Raikou nodded being satisfied with the reading although she was still alittle confused about the present and future part. She should be able to figure it out later. "I'm a werewolf." She said going back to as few words as she could come up with. She looked at the High Priestess card that was her card. When she saw what it looked like she would be able to remember it later on.

Anna looked at Sybil wondering what her reaction would be to have a werewolf as a customer. Wolves rarely did these kinds of things just living life from day to day. Many of them never thought about what will happen tomorrow they only thought about today. She looked over at Raikou seeing her in thought about all that Miss fortun said.

Raikou stood up and moved towards the door. "If that's all then I'll be going." She said feeling that she has over stayed her welcome.

Sybil rose to show Raikou out. "It was pleasant meeting someone who has no use for frivolous words," she said, smiling faintly. "And you are welcome in my home should you need me again." She looked to the ground as she opened the door for the werewolf. "I will see you in your dreams, preferably by the end of the week. Please be safe, and don't be a stranger."

Raikou nodded and disappeared into the night, or what was left of it as she went back to the house. Anna disappeared somewhere soon after and she had some peace. Instead of jumping up on the roof she jumped in a tree and leaned back as she relaxed again. Most of the pack was back by now and going to bed, she will also be going to sleep, but it would be a very light sleep as always.

Sybil shut and locked the door behind the werewolf and the ghost, sighing heavily. "Oh, Jinx. Don't do that to me again without warning me." She settled down and spent a few minutes simply handling the cards. When the pulse got too disturbing, she shut them up in their carrying case and placed them back under the coffee table. Sybil changed into her pajamas and climbed into her bed, Jinx settling down beside her. She turned off the bedside light and snuggled under the covers, hoping that she would make her way into Raikou's dreams sooner rather than later.

Raikou went to sleep hoping that she wasn't woken up so that she could give Sybil her payment. Her dreams were always brutal and never ended well. She warned the child and now she would have to see her world the way she saw it. The dreams are always cold, frozen as ice covers everything. In her dreams you couldn't talk, you couldn't move, all you could do was watch as people you cared about turned their backs on you. She was use to these dreams and they don't bother her.

Sybil sat on a frozen tundra, watching Raikou sitting frozen in place, covered in ice. Men and women Sybil had never seen were taking their turns berating Raikou for things she wasn't certain were the woman's fault, before turning their backs on her and disappearing into the snow that swirled in eddies throughout the entire landscape. The ground was suddenly spattered in blood and gore from the bodies both animal and human that appeared in a blink on the ground before Raikou. Sybil rose and walked toward the werewolf, carefully avoiding the stained snow.

The desolation and destruction found in that place was horrific, more than a little unpleasant even as Sybil felt her body begin to pick up the glamour found throughout the dreaming world of a living being. Sybil sat beside the frozen woman and reached over to touch her face. "I'm sorry you have to suffer this," she whispered, pushing with all her might to crack the ice that surrounded Raikou. It cracked slightly, the ice beginning to melt from the heat Sybil was pushing into her hands. But it was not enough to fully remove it from her body.

"Visit me again," she said softly, turning to crouch before the werewolf's face. "I can help you. If you want it."

With that, Sybil looked up to the sky and found herself back in her own bed as the dream she had been in dissolved into nothingness.

Raikou woke up as well not really understanding why this girl wanted to help her when her own family wanted nothing to do with her. She sighed thinking over want Sybil had told her, did she really want to be helped or was she better off left frozen? Anna wasn't around at this time of day and only came out at night so she had enough quietness to think. She stood up making her decision and she jumped back up on the roof of the house. She would go, but not now. She still had a duty to her pack, she had to protect them even if they didn't protect her. She listen to them breathing hearing if anything was wrong. Sensing that everything was alright she laid back again, but didn't go to sleep this time as she waited for the sun to set.

Sybil busied herself throughout the day with grocery shopping, where she ran into a few of the changelings from the local freehold. They chatted a bit, but nothing of importance was said - the Lost in the city felt Sybil had betrayed her fundamental nature by placing any sort of trust in the other supernatural beings of the area, and Sybil felt the other denizens of the freehold could learn by her example.

As a whole, Sybil's day was passing quite uneventfully as she stocked her refrigerator with her purchases and made herself comfortable on her couch, leaning back and delving in to a good, trashy romance novel. Jinx had been gone for most of the afternoon, but that was unsurprising - he was more of a roommate than a pet, and while Sybil enjoyed his company and he enjoyed hers, both were happy being alone, as well.

Pacing the floor was unbecoming to the Prince of the city, and yet, he was doing it anyway. Tony let out a sigh, hoping that Sybil would be all right after turning down a guard. He walked to his window and sat on the window box, gazing out at the city he had worked so hard to make prosperous. Tony could see the streets, the buildings, everything, and in a few days, he would have a superb network of cameras set up throughout the city, allowing him to view multiple locations at once and keep track of the comings and goings of prominent locations. The sun was going to rise. He had only a few more moments of his day. The phone on his desk buzzed.

Mina, Tony's sheriff, alerted him to the fact that a humanoid, female in build, had been loitering in front of the building for some time. Her aura was something their people are having difficulty reading. Tony contemplated the matter for only an instant before he reported back to her. "Have the ghouls keep an eye on her through the day," he said absently, feeling the exhaustion rise. Perhaps he would sleep today. "Have them report back to me this evening. Thank you, Mina. And goodnight."

The woman had been lingering outside the building, lost in her thoughts and still in awe about the size of the buildings all around her. She would have remained in her head longer but a human bumped into her, causing her to stumble forward a little. Her head immediately jerked in the direction of the human, locking eyes with the mortal for a few brief moments. Her beauty was alluring but the sense that there was just something wrong about her caused him to quickly back up and move away from her as fast as he could.

A frown lingered on her lips as she watched him go, her eyes slowly returning to the building. It was then that she caught her reflection in the glass. She stepped closer to the window, studying her reflection. A hand reached out, her fingers touching the glass where her face was, her eyes slightly widened as her thoughts slowly drifted back onto what she was and quietly wondering if she would ever be able to walk amongst the mortals without fear and only acceptance.

Shadows….darkness….these were the words to describe his life….the words to describe the life of Grim the Promethean. His first year of life, if his unholy existence could be called that, was filled with terror and fear at the hands of mortals. Like his creator he had been subject to the curse to the Prometheans that was “Disquiet”. Also like his creator he bore a much stronger curse than many of his race, and with them in such close proximity to each other any of the small towns they travelled to or travellers they came into contact with soon turned on them, either from a mindless rage or paranoid fear.

The realm of sleep was hardly a release from the living hell that was life. Dark memories that were not his and horrors that were all too familiar filled his dreams. As such he rarely achieved more than a few hours of sleep. Rising from the abandoned barn that had served as his shelter from the previous night’s freezing rain Grim trekked down the well worn road. Quietly resting on his hardened and scar covered back rested his dark blade in its leather sheath. It had been his only possession in his hard and wretched life.

Slowly walking on the lights of a city came into his view. Despite his early learned fear of mortal settlements Grim had quickly discovered the larger the city the harder it was for him to be discovered as the cause of the Disquiet. He had once managed to stay in a city for over three months before discovery, and this city was a decent bit larger. That combined with his increased skill at stealth and inherent paranoia this place could become his new home. If such a thing was within his grasp.

His dark cloak billowing in the light breeze he walked through the thin suburbs outlying the city. Not a single door opened as he walked down the quiet streets. Dark things were said to walk in these lands. To Grim they were but fellow beings of a dark and magical world. To many humans they were dark monsters from ancient tales. As such anyone that had such a dark appearance was commonly avoided.

Leaving the last of the small houses behind him Grim walked towards the first of the skyscrapers and massive buildings the mortals had constructed. At first he had been in awe of these massive constructs, but had since learned the many flaws and shortcomings of humanity and their wild imaginations. Just the same a part of him wished to be like them. To just feel normal for once in his life.
Hello all, I'm sorry to say any and all RPing has been put on a complete hold on my end. The school I am presently attending gives me time to eat and do homework. My sleep usually averages 5 hours a night and I don't have enough free time to do any RP justice. I'm sorry and hopefully I will be able to continue my participation in this fine community once summer hits.

It was only a few moments after beginning to stare at her reflection in the glass before she felt it. She hadn't sensed anything since she first entered the city, she knew she was alone as she usually was and tried to be. Too many in one area only made the effects of the Disquiet appear faster. Her eyes widened as she felt the presence of another, her head jerking in the general area of the source. Slowly, she backed away from the skyrise, giving it one last look before she was on the move again.

Her manipulation and control over the Promethean's curse allowed her to sense when others were near, she wasn't sure if she was the only one with this ability or not. But it didn't matter. She pushed passed the crowd of mortals, trying her best to not physically touch them as she felt herself getting gradually closer to the source of the Disquiet.

It took her a few minutes but finally she spotted it. Stopping dead in her tracks, her cold brown eyes focused on the cloaked figure. She was still a good distance away from him but still within his line of sight. The Muse was unsure of what to do. Should she go toward it or flee? As she thought about the consequences of both options, she stood in the middle of the sidewalk, her eyes just starring at the unknown Wretched in front of her.

Grim had been absorbed by a massive throng of people. None wore clothing as dark or foreboding as his, yet many appeared to not want to be seen, at least to his eyes. Even those that glanced his way, possibly having been more susceptible to the Disquiet quickly turned away. Except for one, just one. She stood in the center of the street, in ordinary clothing, and was pretty, for a mortal. But that was just it. As his eyes connected with her he could feel it.

Compared to the dark and overwhelming aura of Disquiet he carried it was but an echo, he likely wouldn’t have felt it even if he had been trained in such things, but he could still feel it. She was like him, but not. A being of unholy origins, but far too beautiful and scar less to be one of his kind, a Promethean, but not a fellow “Wretched”. From her response their kind must have been rare in these parts. Not a surprise considering the lonely life Disquiet made many of them live.

He had come into very little contact with his own race these past few years. As such meeting another wasn’t an unwelcome surprise, though her response could have been more subtle. If they both stood there in the street dumbstruck someone might notice, especially with his far from normal choice of clothing. Keeping his eyes trained on hers Grim heads down a nearby side alley. Whether she followed or not was not his problem. He would wait, but if she decided to leave he would go on living his life. He’d long since grown used to being alone.

Those emotionless dark brown eyes of hers followed his form as he slipped into a nearby alleyway. She only blinked once his figured disappeared behind the wall. Should she follow him? Or should she leave him be? He hadn't given her a clue as to which he wanted, or even if he cared. But her curiosity, and her desire to be someone, anyone, caused her feet to slowly start moving forward across the street. She kept her head down, trying her best to seem inconspicuous. She didn't bother to check if she was successful or not as she stepped through the mouth of the alley.

It was already dark as it was well into the night and the alleyway only made it seem darker. She had lost sight of the cloaked figure for the moment but she could still sense him. Her eyes scanned around her, trying to pick up on his form again. After a brief moment she saw the subtle movement of his cloak billowing in the slight breeze and slowly walked over to him. She was silent as she approached him, not sure who should make the first move.
