As he scurried away Grim turned back and watched the Muse leave. He wished he’d asked her name. He had never really talked to a female Promethean, or a Muse for that matter. But for now they had to get apart, very far apart. The mortals were getting suspicious, and some carried guns, guns were never good. Using a large dumpster for a boost the dark figure leaps onto a nearby fire escape, rapidly scaling to the rooftop.

Here it was quieter, far from the hustle and bustle of the human world. He’d never be able to stay on even a rooftop for very long, but just the same it was as much peace as he would get for awhile. Eying the path before him Grim takes a deep breath before charging forward, placing as much effort as possible through his foot as it impacts the last ledge of the roof sending him flying over the thin alleyway and crashing down onto the rough turf of the adjacent rooftop.

Gritting his teeth part of his skin gets ripped and torn Grim looks at the new environment around him. This rooftop was different, there was a small greenhouse to one side, a pigeon pen at another, and just general liveliness. Walking over to the edge of the roof Grim looked down at the mortals below. He liked the view, and the life for that matter.
Hello all, I'm sorry to say any and all RPing has been put on a complete hold on my end. The school I am presently attending gives me time to eat and do homework. My sleep usually averages 5 hours a night and I don't have enough free time to do any RP justice. I'm sorry and hopefully I will be able to continue my participation in this fine community once summer hits.

As the girl started to fall backward, the Muse only watched, not sure if she should try to grab her or not. But the mortal seemed to manage by herself. She noticed her gaze drift elsewhere for a moment and her eyes followed the girl's. Who was she talking to? Had this been a trap or something? Her attention quickly shifted from the girl in question to the area around her. No... Nothing seemed too out of normal. Just the occasional glance in her direction for one reason or another. But still... she had that feeling as if she was being watched.

"I can help you, if you need help."

The girl's voice brought the Muse's attention back to her, her head canting to the side again. Her brow rose slightly, a somewhat confused look on her face. "He...lp? ...Why...?"

Sybil shook her head, quickly, as if clearing it out. "Well, you look like you need it," she responded. "Isn't that good enough?" She smiled shakily. The girl was... innocent, possibly. Deranged, probably. Sybil leaned a bit closer. "Are you okay? You seem a little schizo, no offense."

The sun was down. It's final rays danced across the landscape of the city, and Tony's eyes shot open. Another night. Another beautiful night. He rose and tended to his nightly routine, frowning over his answering machine. While Tony kept up with the latest electronics, it was always difficult when he first arose to remember how they worked. The flashing red light winked off and on as if mocking him.

Tony punched the wall beside him with enough force to knock the drywall out. He stared at the hole, puzzled. His anger never went out of control. Maybe he was just hungry. Yes. That was his problem. Hunger did odd things to him. He focused on the hunger, feeling its life, feeling its need, feeling it curling around his mind like a cat. He imagined himself taking that hunger in his arms, and pressing it into the crook of his arm. Closing his eyes, he imagined choking the hunger, suffocating it, killing it. And the need to feed ebbed.

Tony opened his eyes. Ah, yes. He should push the play button to hear his messages. He did so.

"Master, we've been following that chick that was hangin around yesterday," the guy spoke. Tony rolled his eyes. He abhorred slang, but it was so ingrained into the minds of most humans nowadays, it was impossible to avoid. "Yeah, she's at the flea market right now, talkin to Miss Fortune. Dunno what they're sayin, but man, Miss F looks scared shitless. She says she's aight though, so we'll keep you informed."

Tony frowned as the message ended. His little changeling wasn't keeping secrets, was she? Who was this unknown woman, and what did she want with Sybil, of all beings? She was by far one of the weakest at first glance. Was that it? Was she searching for prey? Sitting at his desk, Tony waited for Mina to arrive for her nightly briefing. They would discuss things, and act accordingly.

The woman continued to watch the girl strangely. It was obvious that the Disquiet was affecting the poor mortal but she was still trying to speak with the Muse. Her eyes slowly shifted from the mortal to the small stall she occupied, looking at the strange oddities she had set up. "Schizo...?" She asked, obviously not knowing the meaning behind the word.

Sybil shrugged. "You know... crazy," she illustrated the point by crossing her eyes, sticking out her tongue, and turning her pointer finger in a circle around the side of her head in the "universal" crazy sign. "But it's okay, we're all a touch crazy. Do you need anything at all?"

Raikou watched the sun go down as she sat on the roof. It was a good thing tonight wasn't a full moon or she would be stuck in her other form. When that happens she usually stays in the woods that surrounds the house she was protecting. Hearing the noise down stairs she could tell that her family decided to have a party at the house that night instead if going out. She jumped off the roof and walked away from the house before anyone could tell she was even there. They would be save with everyone at there so she was not needed tonight. She didn't need one of the pups to tell her to leave because many humans would be there and they didn't want to see a weird woman on the roof. Raikou just walked around going to a part of town she's never been in before to just look. She would run into Anna soon she there was no need to look for her. The ghost was most likely messing with another poor soul that had to listen to her nonstop talking. She stopped when she reached where ever her feet took her and saw that she was at a flea market. She's never really been in one so she went to look around.

"Do you need anything at all?"

A single brow was arched, the woman giving Sybil an odd expression. Why did this mortal keep offering help to her? It was obvious that she was bothered by the Muse's presence but still she kept talking to her. Though it wasn't exactly mind blowing, it was definately something that made absolutely no sense to her.

"What... need...?" The Muse asked in a somewhat curious tone, wondering what exactly this mortal was trying to offer to her.

Sybil shook her head, trying to clear the frustration away. "Look," she reached onto the desk and pulled a business card out of a plastic holder. Miss Fortune: Looking Forward the card read, with a phone number on the back. "I don't really have time for this, I'm sorry," Sybil continued. And she was. Pointing at the card, she continued. "This is me and my number. You need anything - food, shelter, a place to stay, you call. I can help you. But the market's closing up and we need to be moving along." She walked away from the woman and began placing her cards in their carrying case with deliberate slowness.

Mina paced outside of the flea market, her brows furrowed. The Prince had insisted she come here to check on Sybil, but she truly could care less what happened to the little woman. It wasn't jealousy. Okay, maybe it was, but she would never admit it anywhere but in her own mind. She hated that Tony felt such affection for the changeling, and despised the changeling for being as loyal and helpful as she was. If she could just catch Miss Fortune doing something behind Tony's back, perhaps she could turn his faith away from Sybil and back toward Mina. Like it had been before Sybil's arrival. Unfortunately, that didn't seem likely.

She leaned back against the wall and lit up a cigarette, waiting for Sybil to leave. They needed to have a talk.

Seeing that the flea market was closing she decided to leave. Tonight wasn't all the special and so she just went to were she knew she would end up. The dream from earlier was still bothering her, but she could see that Sybil had somethings to do before she returned home. She looked around outside and saw a few vampires, they never really met because it seemed that vampires wanted nothing to do with her kind. It was fine with her because of her life style. She didn't even know why she choose to come out here in the first place. What could Miss Fortune offer her that could help her? She didn't really have a problem, there was nothing wrong with not wanting anything to do with other. Many people have done the same to her so she's just returning the act. Maybe it would be best if she just went back to the house, she wouldn't dare call it home. She had no home and never knew what the true meaning of that word was. Feeling safe wasn't something you could feel when you lived in a city with vampires, they never messed with her, but who did? Most, but not all hate her kind and only see them as beasts. She isn't a wild animal and never will me. She may have lost the will and want to feel anything, but that doesn't mean that she's a mindless creature. She's smarter than she looks and have seen more then most supernaturals. Her past is covered in shadows and ice.

As she was handed the card, the Muse quietly looked it over. She couldn't understand a thing that had been written on it since her reading skill was just below her speech. But perhaps the other Promethean she had met could tell her what was on the card. She placed the small piece of paper in her pocket and took a glance around her before she turned and walked off.

To Sybil, it would seem that one moment she was there, then when the Changeling turned around then back, she was gone. That distinct feeling of her presence though lingered in the area of the few minutes as the Muse made her way out of the flea market until she was finally back in the main part of the city.

Sybil frowned and shook her head. It was all too strange. She locked up quickly and hurried out of the stall, rushing outside. She breezed right past Mina, who pursed her lips and looked pissed, and walked as swiftly as possible to the nearest bus station, head down. She stopped upon seeing Raikou and called out to her. "Raikou!" She gestured for the werewolf to follow her, glancing back to see Mina angrily stubbing out the cigarette and waiting impatiently for the prince's ghouls to exit the building.

Charlene Farida walked briskly towards where the vampire prince lived, she needed to tell him that she did not wish to recieve her father`s title, only his estate. She was breathing heavily as she reached the door, where two guards lazily stood looking bored."Hello,I`m Charlene Farida,I have matters that I need to see the prince for.I called ahead so he should be expecting me."She said. They sneered at her,"We`re not going to fall for that one again, are we?"one guard said to the other, nudging him under the ribs.Charly frowned,"I have an appointment though.I have to talk to him about my inheritance."They glared at her,and she sighed. She walked a little ways down the street and called the prince`s phone. His secretary picked up and Charly explained her problem with the guards. The secretary said that she would see to it that Charly got inside and Charly thanked her for her help. She walked back towards the very tall building the prince lived in.It looked kind of sinister to her,'Figures he would live in something like this, though I`m surprised he didn`t remove the building and have a gothic castle built instead.' she thought to herself, allowing herself a little chuckle. She stood on the sidewalk and waited to be let in.

Raikou looked at her and followed, but wondered why she was acting so weird. It was like she was hiding or running from someone. They were at a bus stop waiting for the bus to come so they could go where ever Sybil was going. She was most likely going home if she didn't have any thing that she had to do tonight.

"Is there a reason you have your head down?" She asked as she looked down at the girl that stood next to her.

Sybil turned to glance back toward the Flea Market. "That lady over there - the evil looking one. She doesn't like me. At all. I don't want to deal with her or the nut-job that came into my shop today, wherever the hell she might be now." Sybil explained her interaction with the odd young woman to the werewolf. And shrugged. "Sometimes, I wish I could just disappear for a bit." Taking a deep breath, she turned to see the bus coming down the street. "How are you? Have you thought about what I said last night?"

Tony sat wearily at his desk. He had recently received a phone call that Sybil was safe, at least for the time being. He had recognized the threat in Mina's voice and ordered her to return to her duties and leave Miss Fortune alone for the night. His secretary buzzed him, alerting him to the fact that a Miss Charlene Farida would be arriving shortly. "Let her in when she comes," he responded absent-mindedly. Farida. What to do about her? Her sire had to go and get himself offed. And at a most inopportune time. Tony's own vampiric law stated that should any member of the Primogen suffer an untimely death or involuntary torpor, their oldest childe was expected to take their place on the board, at least until a suitable replacement could be found.

But Charly was not what he had expected. Certainly he had known she existed, but he had always assumed that David had had another childe somewhere. Apparently not so. He was not looking forward to this conversation.

Raikou looked at the woman that Sybil and listened as she explained about another person she met that night. "Well you had a fun time today." She said looking at the bus and nodded. "I have and I will let you help me, but before we do anything I want to know what you plan to do to help me."

Sybil nodded. "Fair enough, then. Let's take a walk. I'm too cheap to pay for the bus anyway. And," she turned to glance back towards Mina's last standing place," it looks like the devil is gone." As Sybil walked, she talked to Raikou, explaining what she was and how she would be able to assist her.

"Long story short, I'm a changeling. I was stolen from my home and taken to a nasty, nasty place where the world doesn't work like it's supposed to, called Arcadia. There, I was kept as a slave to an inhuman monstrosity, and in being kept, I was infused with a bit of the magic that courses through the very being of the place. I escaped, and returned home, but I had no life here for me. Sybil, the 'real' me, but the not real me, is only five years old. She lives with my parents and my brother, and they love her. They don't know any better. I can do nothing about that.

"As a changeling, I have powers that most mortals would be blown away by. Some of my kind can control fate, I can read it. Some of my kind can create madness with a single look, or cause machinery to crumble and fall to dust. I'm nowhere near that strong, and I probably never will be. It's part of the route I've taken in my life - I don't associate much with my own kind - only on occasion. And so I will never be as strong as those who congregate together.

"However, what I can do is enough for what's ailing you. As you know, I can walk in dreams. You, as a supernatural being, have been blessed with an ability to dream lucidly. Your dreams come across not as dreams, but as real experiences. And because of that fact, you can control your dreams. And, by extension, I can control your dreams. Mostly because I both know how and can be given permission by you. I can teach you things, ways to find the bitter cold, ways to change your dreams into something beautiful and peaceful, and, by extension, bring beauty and peace into your life. You have to be willing to work with me, and most importantly, you have to be able to trust me. It can be a hard, dangerous road, but if we work together, we can fix whatever is wrong, and work together to make it better."

She looked at the werewolf next to her. "Interested?"
