Sybil nodded. "Fair enough, then. Let's take a walk. I'm too cheap to pay for the bus anyway. And," she turned to glance back towards Mina's last standing place," it looks like the devil is gone." As Sybil walked, she talked to Raikou, explaining what she was and how she would be able to assist her.
"Long story short, I'm a changeling. I was stolen from my home and taken to a nasty, nasty place where the world doesn't work like it's supposed to, called Arcadia. There, I was kept as a slave to an inhuman monstrosity, and in being kept, I was infused with a bit of the magic that courses through the very being of the place. I escaped, and returned home, but I had no life here for me. Sybil, the 'real' me, but the not real me, is only five years old. She lives with my parents and my brother, and they love her. They don't know any better. I can do nothing about that.
"As a changeling, I have powers that most mortals would be blown away by. Some of my kind can control fate, I can read it. Some of my kind can create madness with a single look, or cause machinery to crumble and fall to dust. I'm nowhere near that strong, and I probably never will be. It's part of the route I've taken in my life - I don't associate much with my own kind - only on occasion. And so I will never be as strong as those who congregate together.
"However, what I can do is enough for what's ailing you. As you know, I can walk in dreams. You, as a supernatural being, have been blessed with an ability to dream lucidly. Your dreams come across not as dreams, but as real experiences. And because of that fact, you can control your dreams. And, by extension, I can control your dreams. Mostly because I both know how and can be given permission by you. I can teach you things, ways to find the bitter cold, ways to change your dreams into something beautiful and peaceful, and, by extension, bring beauty and peace into your life. You have to be willing to work with me, and most importantly, you have to be able to trust me. It can be a hard, dangerous road, but if we work together, we can fix whatever is wrong, and work together to make it better."
She looked at the werewolf next to her. "Interested?"
