Tony chuckled. "My darling, you are quite innocent to our society. Do you know how I became the Prince of our city? No one died and left it to me, the way your sire left your role to me. No," Tony's eyes began to shift to an inhuman yellow. "I got it by being the nastiest, meanest Kindred in this city." He held his hands out before her. "There is so much blood and ash on my hands that some days, I believe that I've ruined every chance I could have of becoming something more than a murderer with a habit of drinking blood.
And then I look out, at all I have helped to create, and I see that it is good. I have helped my people become something better - more civilized, more capable. Certainly, there are many who do not like me. Your sire was one of them. I can not say that I am sorry to see him gone. I am, however, sorry that you are being forced to undertake this role against your personal preference. But give it - and me - a try. You may find we suit your needs appropriately."
Tony rose and walked over to his phone, swiftly dialing his secretary. "Please send in Mark and Gina, if you don't mind. Miss Charly and I would like to enjoy a bit of a snack." He opened the door seconds later to reveal and beautiful young Asian woman and a tall muscular man of African descent. They walked to either chair, Gina kneeling in front of Prince Tony's and Mark kneeling in front of Charly, holding out his wrist to her. Tony lifted Gina's hand as he sat back down, sinking his teeth into her fragile-looking wrist instantly, and drinking in silence for a few minutes. Then, he pulled away, licked the wound, closing it effectively, and smiled at Charly. "That was an excellent idea. I hope you find Mark here to your... taste." He smiled, licking a few drops of spattered blood from his lips as he released Gina, allowing her to leave with a kiss to her hand.
