hm I'm curious as to what style of ship we are actually sailing on? for sake of "Tradition" I'd say it was a Brigantine style but I think that would put it a bit larger than we've played it up (would loo like this http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... ohnson.jpg)

they tended towards 70-80 feet and had 100+ man crews. It would fit your back story as they saw wide use as trade ships, but were used by pirates (Enough to warrant naming them after the "Brigands" that sailed them).

I'm sure we could say it was smaller (though not as small as I posted, I think I said something like 40 feet).

A 60 foot Brigantine would more that out sail most larger ships and still hold its own maneuvering with smaller ships.

just wondering as it would play into the game for what duties could be done on the ship (can't walk the yard arms if the ship doesn't have any. lol)

The closest thing I'm basing this ship off of is the first ship I see in front of me; which happens to be a 1990 model LEGO Systems Black Seas Barracuda from the original LEGO Pirates collection.

I'm going to post... just to see if anyone else will... I say we mutiny or comandeer another ship, and if Demented Tiger comes back, figure out a way for the captain to slip back into our midst, which would actually be really cool, and great for a dramatic, "Wait, we betrayed you all those years ago!" "Well, Should have tried harder" *gunshot* scene.

Just saying, this is a pirate roleplay, a mutiny is both fitting and effective.

Well, this RP I completely forgot about (Sorry), all my RPs died.I haven't been in a rush to create new ones since I'm currently unable to post as often as I'd like to.

Truthfully, regarding this story, I don't know where to go with it! Since the actual plot-line wasn't my vision, I don't really have any idea as to where we go from here. Writing in this time period isn't my personal skill set.

Any suggestions might be nice.

I know what you mean, I was planning on addressing that plot with a meeting of the players after this succesful mutiny, it's up to us if we want to try and continue on to the city of gold as the roleplay originally intended (despite not having all the information, improv?) or if we want to go after something else magical, or stay within a certain realm of reality.

Wow. I finally managed to log in. I think Oran's right. The next stage of the roleplay is deciding if we carry on free the treasure or drop it to do something else. I'm for going after the treasure. Since my character is the mapper now, she could handle the directions to the city.
