The Doctor just shrugged his shoulders. He was jealous. Paige was a beautiful, kind girl who just happened to have a super computer in her head. What wasn’t there to like? However he wasn’t going to do anything with Paige, she was a friend and so was Kaine. He just wasn’t above admitting how good a catch Kaine got.

Paige looked at Jen with a slightly confused expression as Jen mentioned that their nights wouldn’t be exactly the same. She looked around a little and spotted Anthony with a small grin on his face and it was obvious he was trying to keep something back. Paige looked back at Jen and caught a small smile on her lips and she put two and two together. Were Jen and Anthony... Well were they planning on getting together? Paige thought it would be a wonderful idea and decided to just ask Jen later on about it since Jen seemed like she was hinting to her and wanted to discuss it later not so indirectly.

Before she could say anything though everyone was commenting on how good her food was. She blushed a little. “I’m glad you all like it” She said before Kaine made his toast. Paige smiled as she raised her glass. “To good friends and saving the world” Paige said before taking a sip of her drink. Her mind was a little preoccupied with the Jen and Anthony stuff but she wouldn’t mention that until later and she could talk to Jen in private.

“To developing relationships” The Doctor said as he raised his glass with a grin on his face. He really was enjoying himself as he put his glass down and began to eat.

The Doc couldn't help but laugh as Anthony spoke up about being lucky. He really was enjoying himself hanging out with the small group and he really believed that he was making friends. Although he did hope that Kaine understood that they were all just joking around about it, and no harm would be done unless Paige found out about it. That was something which the Doc had no intention of letting happen.

Paige smiled around the table, still not catching on to anything that was being said. Underneath the table she took hold of Kaine's hand and gave it a small squeeze to let him know that she loved him before everyone began to eat. The food was amazing and she was glad that everyone liked it. Unknown to her, Paige didn't realise that she had now been voted as the chef of the group.

Once dinner was finished Paige began to clear the table and to wash the dishes. She insisted, saying it was no trouble. She would much rather do it herself than have the boys do it wrong. As the cleaned the Doc stood up from the table. "I say we all move to the living room and continue this drinking and talking" he said with grin. They had all consumed a fair amount of alcohol by this stage and there was a lot of laughing and joking around.

Paige watched as the others left the room and turned her attention to Kaine who was still hanging around. She smiled at him as she couldn't help but laugh. It was a little entertaining that with all fo the technology in this house a dishwasher hadn't been installed but Paige was used to having to wash things up by hand. Her old apartment had been without one as well so it also brought back strong memories of her old home... one which had been blown up. That was history however and now Paige considered home to be anywhere where Kaine was.

She stopped washing up for a moment as she walked over to him, wrapping her arms around his waist. "Kaine... I am positive, you go and enjoy yourself" She said with a grin. "Although you might want to ease up on the drinking. From the sound of it you are going to have one very nice hangover in the morning" She said teasing him a little. Paige was surprised with how much Kaine was drinking but he seemed to have a lot mroe control of himself compared to the last time he drank.

Paige could feel him holding onto her and knew that he must have been a little unsteady on his feet. Maybe he was getting a little better at hiding how drunk he was? She laughed a little as he joked around about being able to drink with the best of them because they both knew that he couldn't. Maybe it had been a bad idea letting him drink at all tonight. Yet as he mentioned their big plans, Paige blushed a little. She was excited about tonight and their plans, finally getting to develop their relationship further. On top of this there was also the physical need which had been building up inside of her these past few months and it would be nice to be able to fulfil her desire.

"Okay... be careful" Paige said as Kaine decided to take himself off into the living room. She gave his cheek a soft kiss before he headed inside and she watched for a moment before turning back to the dishes. There wasn't much more to go and she was sure that she would be joining them in just a few minutes.

As Kaine passed out, the Doc had been a little slow off the mark to get up to Kaine's aid but there wasn't much he could do once Jen and Anthony said that he was still alive just unconcious. The Doc laughed as Jen said that he had only passed out. He had known that Kaine was a light weight but seriously.... that was just terrible. "I vote Jen as well... because seriously I couldn't say it with a straight face" He said with a grin, thinking that it was really too funny that Kaine had passed out before getting to spend the night with Paige. However before anything more could be decided, Paige appeared at the door.

"What was that thud?" Paige said as she walked into the living room. It had been fairly loud and it sounded as if someone had done something stupid and hurt themselves. However when she saw Kaine face first down on the ground she raced over beside him. "What happened?" Paige asked in a worried voice as she reached a hand out to gently shake Kaine, trying to wake him up. Her mind was moving at a million miles an hour. Had he been shot by a silent bullet? Had he been poisoned? There were so many worrying things going through her mind.

Paige felt instant relief when Jen told her that Kaine had simply passed out from too much alcohol. She had known he was a little more than drunk but still she hadnt thought that it was that bad. She sighed softly as she ran a hand through his hair. It appeared that their plans for tonight were spoilt and Paige couldnt help but feel a little upset.

"Umm... Maybe Anthony you could help me carry him upstairs to bed?" Paige asked knowing there was no way she could carry him upstairs on her own. "Then I guess we can continue the party without him" She suggested not ready for bed just yet considering it would be next to an unconcious Kaine.

"If he was any bigger then we would just leave him down here on the couch" Paige said with a sigh. She followed Anthony upstairs, opening the door for him and turning on the light to the main bedroom. At the mention of not letting Kaine's unconciousness spoil the night she had to agree... even though it had spoilt her one big plan for the night.

"I'll be down in a few minutes" She said with a smile, thanking Anthony as he left the room. She then turned to look at Kaine. He looked so peaceful while he was sleeping. Slowly she moved across the room and pulled the blanket up over him, kissing his forehead gently. "Goodnight" She whispered to him before turning and walking out of the room. Maybe if she got just as drunk then she wouldn't remember how disapointed she was at the moment. Walking downstairs and back into the living room Paige picked up another drink, opening it and taking a long sip as she moved to sit on the couch next to Jen. "So... what are we talking about?" She asked with a smile as she took another sip. It was clear she had one mission for tonight, to drink and enjoy herself.

The Doc looked up at Paige walked back in. "Were just getting to know each other... sharing stories of the past and that kind of thing" He said with a grin. "Actually Anthony was just about to share an embarassing story about himself" He teased, knowing Anthony was about to do no such thing.

Paige laughed as Anthony spoke about it being classified. She was positive that it couldn't have been that classified and especially not ot her since she had ANGEL in her mind and if she really wanted she could have known everything there was to know about him in the blink of an eye. Yet she respected his privacy enough to not go there. It was the same as she hadn't used her ability on Jen either. Whatever they wanted to tell her was fine with her. Also sometimes it was better to not know everything about someone.

As the question was turned around onto her she smiled. "Well it is very classified.. but then again I never got told that I couldn't tell people so Im sure it will be fine" Paige said laughing a little as she took a sip of her drink. She wondered what Kaine would have to say about her sharing this story but then again he was the one unconcious upstairs in their bed.

"Basically it was one night... I got home from work and checked my emails and got a weird email from Mary. I opened it and all these flashing images filled the screen for a few minutes and then were gone. I thought it was weird so just deleted it and went to bed. A few hours later I woke up to a light in my kitchen and got up in my pjs to find Kaine standing there in my kitchen on my laptop which scared the hell out of me. I tried to run back to my phone to call someone but he stopped me, pointing a gun at me. Seriously I had never been so scared in my life..." Paige said as she took another sip.

"So then he questioned me about the email and once he found out it was deleted and I had ANGEL in my head... although he didn't explain any of this... he then destroyed my phone and forced me to go with him. Once outside my apartment I flashed on a Crow who Kaine shot... and yeah, bascially more of a gun fight and eventually we got away and were able to get ot a base to call the General who said I had the option of either being killed on the spot or joining" She said with a shrug of her shoulders as if the story was that simple.

Paige could only shake her head a little bit at Anthony's comment, a smile on her lips. She was trying not to take it all that seriously but she did appreciate what Jen was saying for her. It was a serious life event for her but maybe it was just because it was Anthony and no one took him all that seriously, or maybe it was the alcohol which she was quickly consuming at this moment. If Kaine was going to drink so much that he would pass out then she certainly planned to enjoy herself tonight. Also who knew when they would be able to relax like this again, it could be weeks or even months.

"Well... then I guess that just makes me even more special" She said in a voice which showed that she really didn't think being special was something of a positive. This was just one more thing which made her stand out. Paige would have given anything to be normal. However she then turned and smiled at Anthony. "And it's okay, it was kind of funny" She admitted trying to lighten the mood and to not cause an arguement between Jen and Anthony. It was the last thing she wanted since she was still positive something was going on between them, something which she found very cute.

"Well Paige you certainly have one hell of a story there" The Doc said shaking his head a little bit. "I think I am going to head to bed though, still a little exhausted over todays events" He admitted, skulling the rest of his drink before putting the empty bottle on the table and standing the leave. He said goodnight to everyone and then headed up to the room which he had claimed as his earlier on in the afternoon, falling asleep almost as soon as his head hit the pillow.

At first Paige was a little confused when Anthony appeared to be talking slightly funny, almost with a weird attempt at being Irish. However it all made sense when Jen started laughing and Anthony continued talking about rainbows and pots of gold. Paige began to laugh as well and her eyes even began to water from the laughter.

"Oh I am so glad I stayed up to see this" Paige said in a fit of giggles, almost spilling some of her drink in her lap as she tried to control the laughter. Paige actually could not remember the last time that she had laughed this hard... not that there had been a lot of things to laugh about or the right situation. Also the amount of alcohol she had consumed had a lot to do with it. "Anthony! I have seen your file and no where does it say you are a leprechaun" She said laughing across at Anthony who seemed set on the idea that he was a little man dressed in green at the end of a rainbow.

Despite the situation that Paige had been put in she was quickly coming to appreciate the people she was with. She had found an amazing man and had also made some fantastic friends who not only made her laugh but who she also knew had her back.

"Anthony sit down!" Paige said laughing as she watched him stand up and wobble to the middle of the room. She watched him with a big grin on her face despite the fact it was obvious that Anthony was going to end up on the ground in a very sort amount of time. After he began talking for a little bit he did in fact fall over and it wasn't until then that Paige followed Jen up from her seat and walked over to make sure that he was okay. He appeared fine depsite the fact that he appeared very drunk.

As Jen spoke about leprechaun puke though Paige lost it laughing again. "I think maybe we should leave him there... I dont think either of us would be able to lifft him especially since we have both had a little to drink. Maybe sober but not now" Paige said still giggling. "I'll go and grab a blanket and a pillow for you Anthony" She said as she walked to the hallway closet. Despite not being as drunk as Anthony she still had a little trouble walking and it took her a few minutes but soon she was returning with the blanket and pillow.

"Here you go me leprechaun" Paige said a sshe handed them to Anthony with a grin.
