I've been crocheting for a year and these are my most recent projects. Let me know what you think!
Slouchy winter capThat one was a beast to make. I used a fuzzy novelty yarn so I couldn't see my damn stitches. Took me a week to get through what should have been a couple hours at most. I love it though, and I have enough yarn left to make matching mittens and possibly a scarf. The way the white fades to black is beautiful. It looks like snow.
Jayne Cobb Firefly HatMy man cake is the biggest nerd you could ever meet. When he found out I could crochet he begged me to make him a hat from his favorite show, Firefly. It's not exactly the same, but pretty close if you ask me. Maybe a Firefly fan could tell me what they think? The pompom was loads of fun to make. Ended up crafting about 50 of them with scrap yarn. I literally have a box of pompoms lying around now. Hehe.
Disapproving snail looks down on you
with utter contempt. This was my first whack at amigurumi, or Japanese knitted toy making. The pattern was simple so I was pretty excited. I didn't have any googly eyes at the time so I tried to slap a face on him. Turned into a pretty horrifying creature. He sits above our bed and glares down at us while we sleep. I love him. <3 Oh, please ignore my messy bathroom in the background. :B
So, thoughts? Requests? Helpful tips? Let me know what you think! C:
"Her hands, however, were not beautiful--perhaps a shade too red and a little hard in the fingers. She herself was too tall, and her figure lacked the soft, caressing outline. Her good point was her eyes. They were dark, but her long lashes made them seem black, and she looked at you frankly, with a sort of fearless candour."
