Once again no one seemed to know Tosh even existed, he had stayed invisible though out the orientation. Watching people socialize and the man give a short introduction to this mysterious place was quite interesting. Maybe this wasn't going to be that bad after all. Dinner was to be served shortly, so not wanting to miss it he walked up to see whatever the vibrant red head was reading.

He had with him only a small sack with a string drawn straps to hold his belongings. His cd player and collection of cds, and a few books where in it and the bag itself was draped across his back. He was dressed in a pair of board shorts that were black along with a plain 'wife beater. Over that was a nondescript grey zip up hoodie that made him blend in anywhere. He had on only natural flip flops that interestingly didn't flip or flop when he walked, they were much to worn for that. His only defining feature was his head of hair that had medium length blond dreadlocks with a few assorted beads and cowrie shells in them. He had a shark tooth necklace as well. Most assumed he was a surfer due to the stereotypical appearance, they were correct.

Still not betraying his presence he stood up from the uncomfortable metal chair and made his way up front. No one noticed, he was still invisible after all, and so was his cloths. He had power over things he touched also turning invisble like what ever he was wearing for example. Tosh over looked the paper from behind the girl. He was a bit taller than her and it allowed him to calmly read over her shoulder.
Apparently he had room 318, big whoop.

The girl headed off and so he went in the direction of his room. He lowered his transparency so he resembled a ghost. He did this to make sure no one ran into him, they tended to do that when he was invisible.

Layla was brought into a common room by the guard and she looked around, sighing a bit as she stood there even though she did not breath. It was just habbit. She looked around at all the people talking, then sw a man heading for a podieum at the front of the room. She walked over and stood with her arms crossed over her chest, listening to him talk and taking the paper before she looked at him again. This was stupid. She had been to a hospital before she had come here and she knew this place was just like the hospital. All they had treated her like was something new to experament on. This place was no different.

"What a load of shit." She said after the man finished, not careing who heard her before she walked over to where the list of rooms was posted. She looked down the list, running her finger over the names of the people before she turned to head towards her room. She saw a girl walking the same way and ran to catch up woth her.

"So.. What do you think of this place?" She asked, looking over at her with her dull gray eyes, her face unreadable. her voice was flat and cold. She folded her hands behind her head, the packet of papers turning to metal, but still acting as if it were still paper. She did not have a bag with her as she had no other clothing. The wet suit had been given to her when she got to the hospital and she figured she would keep it since it showed off her body.

She sighed again as she walked beside this girl, not really having to since she was dead, kind of. She didn't have to breath, which meant it would be hard if anyone tried to kill her by drowning or chokeing her. She would let then think they were killing her before she would turn them to metal and then make then a metal puddel on the ground.

She grinned as she mused over the idea.
"When you wish upon a star... I will kill you, near or far..."

Chloe looked over at the girl who had caught up with her while they were in the hallway. She didn't know anyone here -- which disheartened her. She had hoped that there would be at least one person left besides herself that she knew. The black haired girl had asked her what she thought about the place. Inside she felt it was fake -- like a painting. Something that looked so surreal and perfect on the outside but secretly behind all the paint it wasn't just a dull white canvas anymore. It was alive and teeming with insects -- or doctors and shrinks in this case.

Looking over at the girl as she walked she noticed that the girl was in a wet suit. This somewhat confused Chloe for the moment, "I don't know what to think anymore to be honest with you." Her voice was somewhat smokey and mysterious. Everything about her exuded her powers which made her believe that it was the same for others -- then again, what did she know.

What the hell, she had decided to try and make as many alliances in this forsaken building as she could so she offered up her name, "I'm Chloe -- Chloe Vendetta. Who're you?" Letting out a full sparkling straight white smile at the girl -- it was somewhat sincere but mostly fake. Though the fake was only from the situation she was in. Usually, she'd be more nice -- bubbly even.

She kept trudging slowly down the hallways looking for her room number. Trying to keep small talk with at least one other person in the building.

"Layla Ashen." She replied with a grin. "You can call my Layla or Ash. I go by both." She replied, looking at the packet of metal papers in her hand before she tossed them aside. her voice was still cold and flat, her eyes still dull and gray, but there was a soe what michvious air about her.

"I think this place is just like the hospital I was at. All they want to do is use us as experments in order to help them acheiev their own ends." She said, shrugging her shoulder a bit, her hands now by her sides.

"I wount be here long thou..." She said, looking over at the girl, grinning evilly. "I plan on breaking out.. Want to join?" She asked, raising an eyebrow at the girl, stopping in her tracks and turning to face her. Finding their rooms could wait. Forming alliences could not.

"We have the power over them. If we can all control what we can do then we are stronger and we can overpower them. Then we just turn this place into dust and get away. There is no way I am spending the rest of my life here.. or ending up in that graveyard out front." She said, raising both of her eyebrows.

Chloe looked the girl up and down noticing her tossing a what appeared to be sheets of metal as if it were nothing. Not really understanding this girl -- she had a confused and puzzled look on her face for a brief moment.

"I'm not so sure what you're talking about. I just want whatever afflictions I have gone from me. All I ever wanted was to lead a normal life. And now -- all of this had to happen." Her tone nearing sad and depressing at the moment. She hated to be a downer, "Besides, you don't even know if all of us have this so called strength you're talking about."

Her hands began to tingle at the word strength. Calming herself down gently was the key to making all the feelings of pins and needles go away. She didn't want what had happened before to happen again -- she could endanger all of their lives.

She hoped to have whatever it was inside of her extinguished by some method short of dying. She could barely even get excited or too sad or mad without burning something up -- it terrified her and made her cautious of everything. Either she needed to come to grips with this ability or she needed to have it gone from her -- better gone than to grips.

She wanted so badly to be able to get into a heated discussion about something -- anything -- then again she remembered an old saying that now seemed to apply to her: When you mess with matches you get burnt.

How true they were.

Looking at the dark haired girl beside her -- behind her was Chloe's room number and door. The door looked freshly painted and she wondered what lay beyond it.

"What is there out in the real world for us anyways? At least here we have shelter, food, and a place to bathe -- I know out there I wouldn't have any." She tried to round herself around the girl to try and reach the door knob behind her. The luggage she was carting around was a bunch of useless weight that she wanted to be rid of for the moment. Reaching the door knob she placed her bags just inside the door -- not wanting to be rude she offered for the other girl to come in. Maybe she'd accept? Then again who knew -- there was something about her that read 'Does not play well with others'... Chloe didn't know if she should be cautious or careless.

Layla narrowed her eye a bit, listening to the girl talk and knowing it was going to take more then just some fancy word and well placed threats to turn this girl to her side. if she could sway this one, the others might be easier.

"What you have wount go away unless you die.. Which might happen here. They are not here to make it go away.. They are here to make you use it so they can use you. I saw it in the hospital I was in before they brought me here. And Out there I had it all." She said, anger seeping into her voice as she remember what had happened to her.

"Here we have three options. Give in. Fight. Or die. I choose fight over the others. If you want out then talk to me. I know that not all the people out there hate what we are." She said, speaking from experance. She then saw the girls paper in her hands and took them, turning them into metal.

"What we can do.. Is not a curse if you learn to control it." She said before she left the room and went into her won, flopping onto her bed and folding her arms under her head. She stared up at the ceiling, leaving her door open. She would wait till it was time for dinner before she tried to talk to the others.

The freaks like him were here, and the presentation commenced. THey made it seem like the doctors and everything were there to help you, though he knew that they weren't. He hated being here, and once he even tried to escape. He could have easily gotten away, but that was when he was still sick, and just getting to know his abilities. He still couldn't control the power of air. What could air do?, he thought. Rob always thought of the TV show from the old times... what was it called? Avatar?

Apparently, his grandmother or his great-grandmother had grown up with it, but he had never watched it. Their technology had grown immensly, and he didn't know if a , what did they call it, DVD PLAYER? existed still. He sighed. The man had finished and the rooms were listed. He went over to them and spotted two girls.

He heard one of them talking about breaking out. Like that'll work, he thought. He decided to speak. "So you're new? Don't try to break out. They know all of our strengths, and they have their own means to stop us..." Rob smirked. He acted like such a jerk sometimes, but he really was a nice person. "I'm Rob, by the way..." He wondered what they could do. He still hadn't controlled his abilities, and it was really pissing him off. The guards and doctors didn't know that he could control air, but they did know he had some connection with it.

He quickly looked at the rooms. Changed, again... he thought. This time it was Room 121, though he didn't even know that that room existed. This place was getting bigger and bigger by the day. He'd have to go and get his things out of his room, and drag it all the way to the new room. HE wondered who his new roomate would be...

One of the girls had stormed off, and he decided to follow her. So she could turn things into metal? Interesting. He grinned mischiviously. He wondered what else she could do. "Ay, you!" he jogged after her and entered her room, whose door she had left open. "I'm Rob. Impressive stuff you did, there!" He grinned.

ooc|| Anyone want to be Rob's roomate?

Layla looked up as a guy entered her room and she grinned, sitting up and turning her pillow to metal with just a touch of her finger.

"Of course I can.. And unless they find a way to stop me from turning them metal.. I don't think they can do much to stop me.. Especially if I loose control like I did back in the hospital." She said, folding her arms over her chest, her dull gray eyes gazing at him, her voice flat and cold, but her body showing she was ready for anything. The rather tight fitting wet suit showing off her curves.

"I am not about to be shut away for ever or killed just because of what I am. Undead and proud!" She said, lifting her chin a bit and brushing her hair from her shoulder. It was still up in a pony tail, but often got in the way.

"What can you do?" She asked, tilting her head to the side as she looked him over, trying to figure him out. She had not offered her name just yet, wanting to find out if he would help her or not. She needed more of them on her side.

Bella sighed softly, taking her place at the very back of the Common Room, leaning against the wall. She'd heard Steinburg's speech plenty enough to be able to quote him perfectly, and his words did nothing for her. Shamefully, and surprisingly, Bella had been drawn to Steinburg's appearance and voice, like so many others. However, she soon learnt that, when no one was looking, Steinburg was a perverted prick who wanted what every man wanted. Sex.

Allowing her eyes to drift closed, Bella turned up the volume of her disc-man, allowing the lyrics to envelope her and block out Steinburg's words.

There's a long black train, Comin' down the line, Feedin' off the souls that are lost and cryin', Rails of sin, only evil remains, Watch out brother for that Long Black Train

Look to the heavens, You can look to the skies, You can find redemption, Staring back into your eyes, There is protection and there's, Peace the same, burnin' your ticket for that, Long Black Train

'Cause there's vict'ry in the Lord I say, Vict'ry in the lord, Cling to the Father and His holy name, And don't go ridin' on that Long Black Train

There's an engineer on that Long Black Train, Makin' you wonder if the ride is worth the pain, He's just a waiting on your heart to say, Let me ride on that Long Black Train,

But you know there's vict'ry in the Lord I say, Vict'ry in the Lord, Cling to the Father and His holy name, And dont go ridin' on that Long Black Train

Well, I can hear the whistle from a mile away, It sounds so good, But I must stay away, That train is a beauty, makin' everybody stare, But its only destination is the middle of nowhere,

But you know theres vict'ry in the Lord I say, Vict'ry in the Lord, Cling to the Father and His holy name, And don't go ridin' on that Long Black Train

I said cling to the Father and His holy name, And dont go ridin' on that long black train, Yeah, watch out brother for that long black train, The Devil's a drivin' that long black train.

Bella timed things perfectly. Her eyes opened as Josh Turners voice finished melting her heart with that final note, and Steinburg began packing up his notes. Chairs were shifted, screeching on the floor, and new arrivals began moving to the list to see where their rooms were.

Pushing away from the wall, the lone shape shifter made her way to the list, pushing past the group as if they didn't exist. Breathing a sigh of relief to discover that she wouldn't have to move rooms, Bella rolled her shoulders and turned away, making her way to the staircase. In the process, she reached into her pocket and pulled out a cigarette and lighter. Flicking it open, Bella was about to bring the flame up to light the cigarette a voice cut through her music, leaving her to pause for a moment.

One of the doctors glared at her, his mouth moving as he spoke, and Bella paused her music in time to hear him finish his sentence.

"....many times do we have to tell you not to smoke indoors. No wonder your mother abandoned you with your Aunt, you're much too rebellious for your own good."

Bella narrowed her eyes at Dr Hankley, contemplating for a few seconds before bringing the light to cigarette and lightning the cancer stick. Dr.Hankley began to approach her, and as he did Bella took a long drag, waiting till Hankley was standing in front of her, reaching for the smoke. Tapping the stick gently, Bella allowed the ash to drop from the end and fall onto Hankley's shining shoes. If there was anything Hankley hated more then being disobeyed - it was being disobeyed with cheek

Bella smirked, her eyes cold as she blew a mock kiss at Hankley, and for a moment her face rippled and contorted before taking on the appearance of a heavily hooded-eyed woman, with dark brown [almost black] hair and a pockmarked face. It was the face of Hankley's ex - Bella had seen the photo in his office.

Hankley almost growled, and was about to grab when Bella turned and sprinted up the stairs, propelling herself into the music room. Slamming the door shut, she leaned against it heavily, cursing softly.
"Why the fuck don't they have locks on these damn rooms?!"

Chloe listened to the words of the girl before she had left her sight. One line replayed in her thoughts over and over -- Give in, fight, or die. It seemed like a bad movie or re-run where the good guys were definitely out numbered by the bad... but nonetheless somehow they always won.

Pushing her door open the rest of the way -- letting the cool breeze from the hallway float into the room and also leaving it open somewhat as an invitation to whom ever would like to peer in or introduce themselves to her. She pulled her bags into her new room. Trying to picture it as home was very hard for her -- but it had to be home now. Her old one was destroyed. Everything around it leveled to the ground.

Picking the bags up from the floor and placing them on the single twin bed in the middle of the room she opened each of them up. Rummaging around in the first bag she found that it was her clothing. Taking out all the outfits and realizing they were still all on hangers she decided to hang them up. Walking a load over to the closet she opened it up -- inside there was a piece of paper that was taped to the wall of the closet facing the door. Who had left this? She hung up the load of clothing and then pushed them over to the side so she could easily gain access to the note on the wall. Ripping it down she walked back over to her bed -- there was violent scribbling on the lines of the college ruled paper. It read:

If you're reading this -- I've been filed away. Thank goodness! I am finally going to a better place. But, I have to warn you... you're in for a treat. This better place isn't what you think! I found this out and that's why they did it to me! But, at least I am out of this shit hole. I used to be able to read minds... and I found out too much. Who ever you are... please, don't be curious or brash if you wish to stay alive. Ellie.

Chloe's eyes widened at the note she'd found. Why had they not thought to check the closet before they moved the person somewhere else? If they had, why'd they keep that note there?! Her mind was racing and thoughts were filling it. That girl, Layla, had been right. They needed to escape -- but how? Stay alive was embedded in her brain. Was filing away -- murdering? Dying? She wanted to find out but from the note it said she should stay clueless and not be curious. She folded the note into a tiny square and put it in on the bed for the time being until she got all her things out and sorted.

She finished hanging all her clothing up and then put her underwear and sleepwear in the dresser that they had provided her. Searching each drawer for more hidden clues but found nothing but a shiny silver buckle that appeared to have been ripped from some sort of cloth. She couldn't exactly tell.

After two bags were down she went onto the third one -- the one which held all her other items besides clothing and shoes. Pulling her laptop out she placed it on the small desk in the room that faced the window. Then she took other items out of the bag -- such as pictures of friends and family, sketch books, reading material, and more. She tried to fill the room as best she could -- but it was nothing like home used to be.

After she had gotten all her things sorted out and what not she decided to change. Closing the door -- she closed the small path between it and the closet. She opened up the mysterious closet door once again and found only her clothing. What had she been expecting to find? The mysterious girl named Ellie? She shrugged it off and rummaged through the hang ups for something decent to put on.

She let her clothing that she had on fall to the floor around her feet then picked them up and threw them in the hamper she had in the corner of the room. Then she found a pair of black skinny jeans that fit her perfectly -- they made her appear to have more curves than her other clothing did, which she liked. Searching some more she found a black and gray cotton short sleeved shirt that resembled a flannel. For some reason -- she loved that shirt. When she left a couple buttons undone it really showed off the cleavage she had -- she put it on and buttoned it up... all but two buttons. After having an outfit she slipped into some gray three inch heals that had big black skull buttons on the outside of each. She had found the shoes at a thrift store for five dollars and couldn't pass them up. Moving back over to the dresser -- where a mirror hung she decided to throw on some light eyeliner and mascara. Then she pulled her vibrant red hair up into a messy bun, slid some bracelets around her wrists, and huge black sunglasses that hid her brilliant green eyes.

Something inside of her wanted to change -- wanted to be the badass she knew she could be. Yet, she was holding back because she was being shy. New people and places didn't sit well with her.

She grabbed the note and jammed it into her pocket -- then she grabbed her mp3 player off of her desk where she had previously placed it and decided to head out towards the cafeteria. She didn't care if she was the first one in or not -- her stomach was growling.

Placing the little buds of the earpieces into her ears she turned on some mellow music -- Aimee Mann to be exact. Then bound down the hallway in the direction of anything to satisfy her hunger.

The young-man fumbled around with his books, pulling out an old one he hadn't read yet.
"To kill a mockingbird.... Everything is about death isn't it?" he said turning on some Beebop Jazz. He sat down on the small white couch in his Cell. Oh they said rooms, but these ARE cells.
Jack has rebeled too much to not know that.

He was startled by his "Favorite" guard. Gomer, that kind of filth that can only get a job in beating people down or holding someone down. He didn't see why the guard hated him so much.
Mabye it was that he coulden't make him feel pain.

"Probably." He thought to himself.

"Hey! Penfield! Turn that shit off and put your hands on your head!" Gomer pounded on the door with his baton.

The guard entered.

"Whoa slow down honey you haven't even bought me a drink yet." Penfield said to the slightly overweight guard who responded to his comment with a baton to the face.

"Ok,ok princess I know you like to play rough but to be honest fat and ugly isn't really my choice in girls." The guard turned slightly red at this remark, he knew he was overweight but tried to hide it. If Penfield yelled it down the halls he would be the butt of the joke all week.

"Shut up Rob Zombie" The guard taunted Jack's "Form"

He was Undead.
At first he thought he was going to go nuts and eat people, that never happend.

"Oh a Zombie joke? Please Gomer that's so old you might has well have pulled it out of your great grandpa's ass".

"You shut up, my geat grandpa was a smart man!"

"And they say I need to be in a cell, ever think about geting that oversized watermelon checked out? Who knows? You could have gained the power of retardation! Oh wait, thats right you've always been like that...." A punch to the gut and a baton to the back followed this.

"All clean here Zomboy, just don't let me find any brains around here!"

"Certainly not, but I can't promise that you wont find your mom's panties!" The Young-adult laughed as the guard stormed out of the cell, furious with rage. Penfield peered his head out the door and walked out.

"HellOOOOOOoooooooooooooooo" He mimicked an echo.
He tasted something.... a familiar taste...... Blood.
He looked in a nearby mirror and saw blood runing from his mouth, he smiled.

"Nothing...." He turned his face a bit and saw a gash inside his mouth.
"Oh, come on! How is that even possible!" He spits some blood into the sink by the mirror, takeing a sip from the water and spiting it into the sink.

"Ewwww, gross." Hed seen worse, he just felt happy and jokey today

He stepped into the hall again, seeing some people walking around he decided to greet them.

"Well hello beautifuls" He said regarding the girls.

"Im Jack, Jack Penfield." he took a step twards the doors they headed into and hung in the doorway like he was waiting to be invited in.

Rob raised his eyebrows, like it was no big deal, but he was impressed. He hadn't even come to figure out his abilities at all. One time, he unleashed a hurricane, but he couldn't open a door with the air-controlling. He willed the air to come forth, but lightly. It made the girl's hair blow. He grinned. That was the first time he controlled it willingly. Good job, Rob... he thought to himself.

"Undead, huh? Then how can someone kill you?" he asked. He guessed if they cut off her head, she'd die, but that was about it. Or so he thought. He had never met an undead person.

"I can control air. I'm aero-kinetic, babe." he said confidently. He muttered as an afterthought, "But I can't control it..." It was cool, messing with his ability, though sometimes he caused havoc.

The doctors didn't suspect this. THat was good. He wanted to keep it that way. They'd either kill him, or send him out for revenge. He didn't want either, but then again, they were also keeping him alive. The other communities were worse off than they were.

"You never told me your name."

Tosh eventually found his room and opened the door slowly. He didn't want to startle anyone with a mysterious opening door so he made sure he was fully visible. No one seemed to be in the dark room, he searched for a light switch. He found it, or what was left of it. It seemed to have been broken with brute force. The previous occupant seemed to have hated the light enough to break the switch. He opened a window to let some light in and threw his meager little knapsack on the bed.

Tosh decided to unpack his small amount of cloths and put them in the little dresser. He grabbed the knob and pulled but it wouldn't budge. Strange, he tried again and heard something loosen and clack against the frame. After pulling a third time and making a small opening in the drawer he saw a peculiar object jammed in the back of the tiny dresser.
A skateboard. Prying it out of its snug place he saw that it had seen a lot of use and something seemed to have been carved into the bottom of the deck. Tosh read the inscriptions with interest.

To whom it may concern,
Curiosity filed away the cat. Don't believe everything your told. The lights are bright. The food here sucks. But most importantly, things here are not what they seem.
Do what I could not, and if the guards ask who told you tell them JonJon did. They'll remember.

How...unusual. Hidden behind the board was a pair of aviators with lenses so dark he wondered who would have worn them. The board was a rare find, he decided to claim it as his own and use it. Tossing it on the bed with his other belongings Tosh heard his belly howl for food. He needed to eat. He closed the door to the dark room and headed out toward the cafeteria.

He resumed the ghostly translucency to avoid being rudely run into, and perhaps scare people away by making him think he was a ghost.

After moments of chasing afer Chloe, the uninterested young man lifted an eyebrow, watching as others filed into the Commons Room, bringing nothing to the table. Sorry sonsabitches don't got nuthin' tah bring tah the table... worthless. His eyes peered out from behind the black reflection of his aviators, giving no clue as to what he was looking towards, or any sort of expression upon his face. The only sure sign of emotion was a twitch of his rightmiddle finger; Riley needed a cigarette.

Eyes turned towards the door once more, and feet followed, muscles moving smoothly, flexing and contracting tendons, bones propelling the handsome man into the Commons Room. His hat tipped down over his eyes, casting a shadow over his face and slightly decreasing his ability to see. The sound of his boots clicking on the floor echoed thorought the silence of one man speaking. Heads turned, eyes narrowed, some scowled, other simply turned back to the man in the black suit. Riley stopped moving forward, bracing his weight with an elbow against the doorway, in the far back corner. His eyes wandered downwards, following the scent of nicotine. A smirk pulled at the corners of his lips.

He didn't bother sit down; instead, the cowboy headed back out of the door in which he came, beating the crowd to the dormatory assignment sheet.

Room 323, mhmm? Aww, hell, I'll find it later. His thoughts were quick to take shaoe, ringing in his head in that low Southern drawl.

Of course. He took in a breath, smelling that nicotine in the air again, followed by a rish of wind and the sound of voices and rushed footsteps in the direction of the board. Riley didn't bother hurry out of the way. Cowboy Riley hightailed it, picking up a brisk walk stepping quickly behind that scent trail. Where, oh where has my little dog gone? he sang in his head, chuckling to hiself as he felt his muscles quiver and shake, a clear sign that a Shift was underway. But to what, I wonder... Blue eyes shifted to the right, following Bella's shadow as she rounded a turn and head up some stairs. There was a doctor muttering something, about smoking inside, on the grounds, or somethin. What did it matter? The cowpuncher had already passed him in a rushed scent of sweet air, and a light draft of cologne.

"Mornin', Doc." Riley remarked, quickly passing the doctor and into the shadows of the walls. If there had been any light on his face, it would have been easy to see a slight struggle with inner strength. Muscles shook under his skin, he could feel them writhing for change, reaching out for a differnt shape. There was no denying it; a glance over his shoulder and a low grunt of pleasure (sounded only because the release of pressure on his muscles from holding in the Shift was indeed something to moan about..), and the clicking of paws on the ground could be heard. The figure of a large, handsome wolf replaced that of the cowboy.

His hat drifted down to the ground like a feather in the wind; the keen auburn eyes glanced up at it, and lethal jaws gently retrieved it with a quiet click of fangs. Light relfected off of the wolf's eyes, brightening up the hallway as he passed, darting after Bella at a quick trot. A silent burst of speed and Riley caught the end of the music room door on his tail. He chuffed at the rude slam against his rump, swirling around to see that it was merely a door and not a kick in the rear. Lifting his ears, the wolf listened, catching the sound of frustrated breathing. His bushy tail gave a slight wag.

How cute.. he thought, notonly commenting her frustration, but also his appearance. A large wolf hllding a cowboy hat gently in his dangerous jaws, standing politely at the door way, as if waiting for her to turn and face what had followed her inside. Would he scare her?

The wolf shrugged. Maybe..

Isabella Rose Darwin was not often a young woman of many words, and when she was - those words were not the kindest. Nor were her actions. The blonde's piercing blue stare had been covered for a fleeting moment as her lids drifted down.

One deep breath in, one deep breath out. In through the nose, out through the - dog?! Bella's eyes shot open as she stepped forward suddenly, twisting around quickly. At first, she saw nothing, looking straight ahead at the door... Then her eyes dropped down.

"Shit"

Bella took another step, skin rippling softly - like a lake being attacked by a gentle spring breeze - as her heart beat tripled in speed, before dying down once more. The shifters mind was only panicky for a moment, before gradually she calmed down and took another precautionary step back as she took in all the details of the wolf.

"Who are you and who did you eat to get that hat?"

The wolf simply blinked, ticking his head slightly at Bella's moment of panic. Oh, he had those. How could a Shifter not have those moments of momentary mental incapacity? How could a Shifter not hear something that fell on the ground a mile away? How could a Shifter not feel the tickle of the wi nd in an entirely air tight room? How could he not feel those panicy moments? They happened, because he was everywhere. Shifters were in places they had been years before; shifters were still in places they had been in moments before, their bodies positioned the way they were only hours before. A Shifter could change his chape, and stick there. A Shifter was BLISS.

The auburn eyes flickered, mocking her surpriseas large feet lifted gracefully, landing with an odd silence upon the floor of the music room. His eyes danced in laughter as his feet moved over the floor, crossing a large gap in merely a few strides. The scent of the girl engulfed him, but he was left unphased as she cursed and asked him a question that made him utter a little chuff and caused a smirk to tug at the corners of his mouth. Lethal fangs flashed in a mere moment, clicking as he closed such strong jaws so gently upon the brim of his hat.

That''s right, lil lovely... She don't know it's mine.. His thoughts were humorous. The wolf tensed his hind quarters, slowing his smooth walk to a stand still and propping himself up on his hind feet. He swayed slightly, staggering on two feet while tail swished charmingly behind him. He danced for a moment to catch his balance, and then tightened his grip on the hat and thudded a large paw against Bella's chest to steady himself. The handsome creature lifted his head slightly, towering over Bella's small stature. Funny...she was so close and it would be so easy for him to scare her. His eyes twinkled menacingly at the thought, primal lupine instincts taking over for a moment as he placed the cowboy hat upon Bella's head. He shook off the thought with a wag of his tail as he dropped onto the floor, looking at her with his auburn eyes dancing in the light of the room. He gave a little snort and shake of his head; the hat was crooked. No damn good. The wolf approached again, this time gentler as he propped himself against her with a paw, tapping the hat aside with the other. There we go. Pretty as she can be! The wolf dropped back down and gave her one look over, his eyes barely lingering over her curves before he turned his attention to sitting down. "It ain't yers?" he asked, lifting a brow as he settled his tail over his paws, ears perked upwards as he listened into the hallway and at her at the same time.

There was no real need to answer the question. He culd have spoken, and she would have understood him, but to be honest he dec----

"ACCHHOOOOOO!!" The wolf sneezed. His balance was gone, and in a flash he was a mess of long wolfy limbs on the floor underneath chair, with his head stuck between the legs and support of the chair. Riley had just experienced the same panicky feeling. Bodily fucntions in a foreign body were.. well... suprising, and stressful.

Riley simply..spooked himelf.

The picture was perfect. A girl standing in somebody else's hat, with a wolf with his limbs and head entangled with the body parts of a chair. A mess of fur with the scent of cologne and sweet air wafting about. Riley's handsome wolf eyes darted around as he struggled to remove himself. Frantically amusing, really (If you have seen Pirates of the Caribbean, think of the scene where Jack is in the Blacksmith's Shop, messing around and trying to remove his cuffs with a hammer. That is exactly the struggle I am speaking of. :D). There was a frustrated growl while the dtruggle happened, a flying around of a ltail, thrashing about as if doing so would somehow help him detangle himself from the wrath of this hideous piece of furniture. The growl soon turned to a cute whine, followed by a cry for help.

"Goddamn, darlin, are ya gonna jus' sit there and piss yerself or gitme outta this...this..." his ears swiveled and twitched away a fly, which happened to land RIGHT on his nose. The cross-eyed wold snarled, but whined immediately after. Struggling was a baaaad idea. He whined, which meant it hurt. Silly cowboy..."Damn it, girl."

I had a hat... On my head... A cowboy hat, to be exact. Oh god no, that did not just rhyme. But onto more important matters - I had a cowboy hat on my head, that a wolf of all things had put there. I was obviously lost, my lack of extreme reaction proved that.

As the wolf had risen on his hind legs, a giggle had almost bubbled to my lips. Something definitely unusual for me. The dance was amusing - but not amusing enough to make me laugh. In fact it probably left me even more at loss! Whoever had trained this mutt was good at what they did!

I was even more sure of this when he rested his paw on me - I nearly fell over, though, and I must admit my heart was racing. He had already revealed his row of teeth... And thats when I got the hat on my pretty blonde head.
Truth be told, the hat was rather comfortable... Warm, worn, and had a somewhat used smell about it - if that made any sense? I was becoming thoroughly intrigued by this brownish mutt, and as he looked me up and down and then adjusted the hat, I decided that there was definitely something human about him. Oh, and then he talked.

I'd never known if a dog - or wolf - could sneeze, and it hadn't really been a question I'd felt the need to ask. It was answered nonetheless, though, when the wolf sneezed rather loudly. This left be erupting into soft giggles, and then erupted in laughter as the wolf found himself tangled up with the stair. Stumbling back, I bumped into the piano and fell back on it, my fingers pressing down on the keys and creating an out of tune racket. Removing my fingers from the keys, I doubled over, eyes on the wolf as I continued to laugh.

How long had it been since I had really, truly laughed? God, it must have been years since then. Probably back when I was still a kid... It felt so good, so be laughing a genuine laugh - and why? Because of an over intelligent wolf, a cowboy hat, one tenth of an orgasm and a chair. Oh, and the wolf was pleading for help in a very human... male... southern drawl. Sobering up slightly, I stumbled over to the wolf a bit, the hat that was still on my head tipping forward and covering my eyes as I dropped down beside the wolf and chair - my head was too small.

"Uhmm," I lifted the hat up from my eyes, but didn't take it off, instead I giggled slightly.
"If I chop you open will I find whoever owns this hat inside you?" I asked as I looked at his situation, trying to figure out how to get him out.

Long legs were crossed andblack talons grated against the floor, screeching as he dabbled his paws, trying to get a firm grip on the situation. The girl was having a giggle-fit, Riley was stuck under a chair.

Honestly, this was getting to be ridiculous.

Eyebrows lifted as the cowboygonewolf watched the girl fumble about, causing a racket and a ruckus all at once. His tail thrashed about in annoyance, and the humor was gone from his eyes, a growl rising in his throat as she smashed herself up against the piano. "Miss, couldya please git over here and get me outta thismess?" His voice was littered with slight irritation; he really wanted to stand up. But his legs were stuck and---OH, there she was, in his hat. Well, wouldja look at that? She looked absolutely adorable, and the cowboy couldn't help but send her a wink and squirm a little in his fur.

He wrinkled his nose, huffing to get rid of that fly. He was beginning to itch
Bad sign.

His heart beat increased, and the cooler-than-calm wolf let out a quick whine. "Darlin, youbetter hurry and get this chair offa me; there ain't no way I'll get my legs out...git it OFFA me." His voice was worried, laced with the anticipation of a problem he had not quite figured out. His eyes lingered over her face, catching a smile and instinctively returning it as he struggled beneath the chair. Mhmmmnngg.. he thought, not even in words. His muscles were quivered, and the auburn in his eyes flickered on and off to black, skipping connenctions and crossing wires, like a shorted light bulb. An ear quivered as he clenched his eyes, taking deep breaths to calm himself. Within a moment, he was calm, though his muscles continued to spasm and cling to his nerves for the signal to release themselves from the hold of this wolf's body.

He growled, fighting against the legs of the chair, puhing upwards and out, but only to fail and increase the pain felt in his muscles. Every single muscle, wrapped differently around this wolf's skeleton than his own human skeleton, quivered, sending Riley into what looked like a miniature seizure. His eye balls rolled back into his skull for just a moment, and then popped back open, just enough to catch Bella's gaze and to answer her silly girl question. "Cuttin' me open would kill me right now, darlin. How do you s;pose you'll be explainin' that to these bastards?" He gave her a smile, focusing on a bit of hair that had fallen down in her face, just to focus on something. The seizure was dying down, but the enormous canine was shivering now. The wolf's eyes flashed from black to auburn, to Riley's striking blue. They warmed up slightly, knowing everything would be okay for her, not enturely for him. He would be alright.

But now he was just getting impatient. His tail thumped and thrashed against the floor, and his ears were ticking about, listening to the noises in the walls and down the halls, before honing on Bella. "If you please, ma'am?" He sighed, tivking an ear in annoyance, a gesture imperceptible to humans. Goddamn, I hope no body comes in here right now..

"If you'd give me a damn minute and quit yer beggin' I will." Bella mumbled softly as she frowned, flicking off the hat and setting it down on the group as she blew a strand of hair from her eyes. Passing her hand near the wolfs nose to remove the fly. Finally figuring how to get at least one body part untangled, Bella placed her hands on the wolfs head lightly and began to turn it slowly.

"Don't even think of biting me, I'll returned the gesture twice as hard,"
she said softly. In the past ten or so minutes, Bella had spoken more then she had all week, and it was almost a new experience for her. However, instead of puzzling over that, she focused herself on the wolf. The wink went unnoticed to Bella and she helped him move his head just enough for it to escape its entrapment.

As she removed his head from the gap, her hands brushed across his body, feeling the twitching of his muscles. Frowning at the desperate tone entering his voice, and his obvious attempt to calm, Bella increased her pace. Untangling his legs, she was finally able to lift the chair aside.

Bella didn't bother ensuring the wolf was alright, instead standing up and hurrying to the door. Small, dainty steps caused her form to jolt forward, the actions disappearing as they melted into a smooth gate. Opening the door a crack and peeked out, searching down the stairs. There didn't seem to be anyone approaching just yet, and Bella finally allowed herself to turn her attention back to the wolf as she snapped the door shut and lent against it, a worried frown creasing her forehead fleetingly. "Are you alright?"

Layla looked at him, raising an eyebrow at him when he called her babe, shaking her head as she head the mumbled words after. She had felt the light breeze on her hair and guessed the he was telling the truth. If he could learn to control his powers then he would be very useful in destroying this place. She nodded her head to him, then grinned at his question.

"I don't know that one myself." She said to him, standing and walking around him, checking him out. She didn't care if she was not subtle about it, she was just glad to be around other people like her.

"The Names Layla.. People call me Layla or Ash.. I go by both." She said, looking into his face when she stood in front of him again. She folded her arms over her chest and grinned.

"You want out of this place don't you?" She asked, wondering if she could actually get this guy to help her. She was not about to be used as some weapon, or added to the 'filing system' out in the front of the grounds.
