Lunarus smiled, watching the bolts of lighting and fire... The vamp assumed his power was reaching its peak... but he still had much in reserve. He lept from the cliff behind the rocks and fell at an alarming pace to the ground below. With and outstretched claw he ripped into the rock face and tore large rocks from the cliff... as well as slow him down.
He had paid no attention to the figure who approached him, worrying more about keeping others out of the fire. The bolts of fire were gaining faster than the lightning. With a hard tug that threatened to pull his massive arm from its socket, he ripped out a large boulder, practically putting him at a dead stop. He used his strength to take the boulder over his shoulders and heave it back up at the bolts. The first two of the bolts couldn't adjust their path and smashed into the boulder.
A massive explosion, followed by a large cloud of clay and rubble filled the path. The remaining few fire bolts singed through. With the bolts not far behind. Lunarus hit the tops of the trees below... the shear cliff face was far larger than he expected... He took most of the fall and bent his knees, the landing pushing down over him. He had little time to react and drew his bone staff.
He jumped to the side as the final fire bolts were upon him. They dipped and adjusted their path to follow him, their intence heat sparking a fire in the nearby tree roots and ferns. Lunarus attached the staff in a special side clip and sprint forwards on his fours. Gaining as much distence as possible from the magic bolts. He swurved between trees, just barely pealing the bark as he cut his turns as sharp as possible. Far to the right was a mountain path he had known well... the one that lead back into the forrest. He heard a sizzling noise behind him and he grabbed the staff and sung it backwards without hesitating. The fire bolt connected with the bone staff, carved from one of his own injured bones long ago, and exploded.
He jumped into the narrow path and the last fire bolt smashed into the rockface, unable to adjust its turn enough to squeeze through. The rocks ran molten where it hit and detonated.
That just leaves the electricity...
There were only four lightning bolts, yet they were far more accurate then the fire. They kept pace behind him and stayed on the path he took. He reached an area where the path narrowed considerably... Up above was a natural rock bridge, which held a large collection of boulders... He sprang from wall to wall and reach the support. He smashed his massive fists into it twice then waited.
Just before the first bolt reached him, he swung underneath and rammed his feet into the weakened support. The bolt curved to follow him but the sudden collapse of rock made it hit that instead. The other bolts passed by the trap moments after, still following...
Lunarus sprang to the top of the crevice and flew through the open air before hitting the rocky floor and sprinting further. Ahead was a beautiful view of the forrest, yet he had no time to admire the last remaining land untouched by war for thousands of years...
He launched off and fell for a distence... during his fall he saw something that made him laugh and he adjusted his decent to aim at it. He delayed his launch and right before the next two bolts reached him, he pushed off, so they smashed into the cliff. However, the third one managed to hit his leg and he felt the muscles stiffen and the feeling was lost entirly.
He threw out his arms and absorbed the impact, rolling down the rest of the cliff, as his speed began to gain. Just before the bolt reached him, he grabbed a sword and thrust it at the bolt. The electricity lept to the metal eagerly and his hilt absorbed its effects. Just before Lunarus could put his sword away and correct his fall, he fell into the trees. Hard.
