The Darkest History Role Play
This is my first time making a RP here, so I hope you’ll tolerate and will tell me what I need to do to improve. Also my following writing will not be so good, my apologies~ XD
I will start an IC thread as soon as there are at least two people for each organization.

Universe
Welcome to the XVIIIth century. We are still on Earth, but it’s not the Earth you know. This is a separate alternate world ruled by our imagination.
“Magic” in this world has an unique notion. Magic exist everywhere on Earth. Once it comes in contact with a compatible person, it’ll take the shape of a magical object that only the person can control. Therefore, the people who are able to manipulate magical objects are believed to have magic in themselves.
Our story will take place in London, the intersection of the three most powerful axes that rule the world. Each of you will choose an organization to which you will belong.
First of all, we have the Legion, the grouping of all supernatural creatures: Vampire, Demon, Spirit, Elf… They are the only creatures that are born with magic in their bloodstream. To them, magic is an instinct, as natural as the air they breathe. They are aware that they are different and each of them chooses a behavior towards humans. There are the Avengers, the supernatural creatures that, for some reasons, loath humanity and try to separate themselves from human society; some of them live only to kill every single human they meet. On the other hand there are the Accomplices, the supernatural creatures that help humans. There are only a few of them and they are considered as some kind of sages; people depend on them but still fear them.
Secondly, we have the Church. This group of Priests and Warriors, who gained their magic from rigorous trainings, live only for one deed: to banish all supernatural creatures, or as they call them-- “heretics”, from the world, to exterminate their “evil” magic. The Priests usually develop their Healing magic, while the Warriors are fonder of skills that help in combats. They all can control Exorcism objects.
Finally, we must mention the wicked fellowship: The Black Organization, also referred to as “The Church of Heretics”. Their members all were born with natural magical powers, but not all of them are supernatural creatures. They may be the hybrids of humans and supernatural creatures, or the result of the Organization’s experiments to mingle the two races together. Their goal is to exterminate the corrupted supernatural creatures, meanwhile protect the rest in order to keep the flow of ancient magic in living creatures. They also perform experiments to force human race to evolution by implanting magic in them. By doing these things, the Black Organization’s Sorcerers has put themselves in conflict with both the Church and the Legion.

You can have a look at my samples to see how the profile should be organized, and to have a better idea of the notion of “magic”. If you want to play a Black Organization’s Sorcerer you should better look at the uniform (you can choose whatever color you want, don’t have to stay away from my colors).

Each of my character reference will be accompanied by a drawing. I did the drawing before I thought of the plot for this RP, so please don't mind the text in the drawings, but read the character sheets below.

-Description-
-Hair: Short white hair with a hint of grayish green. The tip of his hair splits into two, pointing to two opposite directions, reminding of the tail of a swallow. Nobody knows if this unique hairstyle of his is natural, or he arranged his hair that way to match his alias.
-Eyes: Pale green eyes.

-Accessories-
-Earring: A single emerald earring which is also his communication device.
-Brooch: embed with the badge of the organization, with jewels and a sole pointy wing – Hiron’s trademark – attached to it (This icon also appears on his sleeves).
-Gloves: Small leather gloves.
-Tail of the Swallow: His green silky sash is actually his weapon. The two flowing tails of the sash make Hiron looks like a swallow, hence his alias. The Tail of Swallow is size-shifting and shape-shifting. It can grow longer, larger, can reproduce itself if damaged. It can change its structure according to the owner’s will, to become a sturdy shield, a large sharp blade, or even a chameleon skin that hides its owner from the enemies’ sight.

-Despite his young age, Hiron Dellesky is already a highly-ranked member in the organization. He is the kind of smart leader; a courteous, chivalrous, soft-spoken, kind-hearted gentleman that everyone admires. Even though he seems to be social, he is actually a reserved person and is nice to people out of mere politeness. To the few people who are really close to him, he exposes another self: playful, childish, and desperately seeking for love. He always appears to be calm, but when he gets angry, people should watch out for his explosion.
-Having been raised by the organization, Hiron knows very little about his origins. He grew up without love and compassion; the only things he was taught were how to fight and how to live according to rules. He kept himself away from people and didn’t open up to anyone, showing them nothing but his gentle, smiling mask; but that facade of his slowly slips away when he started to care about the people around him, also starting to realize that the organization he had vowed loyalty to is filled with cruelty and indifference.
-Hiron is called “Swallow” not only because of the shape of his weapon but also his agility. When people first see him, they might think of him as an intellectual type; but as soon as they see him fight, they’ll admire his impressive strength, skill, stamina and also his unbelievable grace. His weapon shifts quickly from one form to another, causing the enemies great confusion; and it panics them for being unable to lay a finger on him, for he is too fast to be caught. Being the perfect fighter, he is usually assigned to protect the important members of the Organizations on their missions - more likely to protect their precious abilities.

-Hair: Her long, pale blonde hair is always carefully braided and put into a chignon on the back of her head. She is sometimes seen with a loose braid, and is almost never seen with her hair down.
-Eyes: Mahogany eyes. Her irises will turn white and red crosses will appear when she concentrates her life force on her eyes.

-Accessories-
-Black silk ribbon: An ornament for her chignon.
-Earrings: Dangling earrings made of gold and topaz, in water drop forms.
-Brooch: The cross badge of her organization.
-Buttons: Large silver buttons with jewels.
-The Touch of God: Those white gloves with red crosses and golden borders are named “The Touch of God” and are Jillian’s “weapon”. They give her the power to control life force: she can touch it, take it, handle it and bend the flow of life force according to her will.

-Profile-
_ Race: Modified Human (Black Organization experiment subject).
_ Organization: Black Organization.
_ Group: Sorcerer.
-Jillian Lucrecia is devoted not to the organization itself, but to its members that she cares deeply for. She may look like a cold, strict, short-tempered woman, but she is actually kind of emotional and soft-hearted. She often shouts at injured people for being careless, but she’ll stay awake many nights next to their sickbeds to look after them. Besides than that, she is a brave and noble woman, honest, straight-forward and highly determined.
-Jillian joined the organization as a nurse; and after acquiring the weapon, her main job is still to take care of injured people, hence her alias “Matron”. She runs the infirmary not only with her medical knowledge but also with her power, the Touch of God. She can concentrate her life force on her eyes so that she can see the flow of life in other people’s bodies to judge their states of health. Her judgments are 99% accurate with all kind of diseases and injuries. She can also perform some kind of “massage” on the injured people, manipulating the flow of their life force, concentrating their strength on the wounds in order to make them heal faster and less painfully. The Touch of God is most inoffensive but it can be handy in a fight, allows Jillian to drain the life force from her enemies. However she is not really the combat type will not drain any living thing to death if she can avoid it, for it is the most terrible way to die.
-Jillian is in a permanently endangered state, because she has number of conflicts with the organization. She cares for the well-being of other people way “too much”, declining to make them sacrifice; plus, she firmly refuses to fight with her ability, becoming a real obstacle in the achievement of the organization’s final objectives. They threaten to replace her with another person, but it is just not easy to replace someone who has been chosen to carry the touch of God.

-Hair: Very long platinum hair, cut down to straight bangs. His hair helps improve his sense of the Bells’ resonation.
-Eyes: Very light, silverish shade of gray eyes. His eyes look kind of blank.

-Cross: A collar-like rosary around his neck.
-The Bells of Wisdom: The beads and jewels on his hair are called the Bells of Wisdom. He can create a “territory” and the Bells will resonate with all sounds in that area, allowing him to know what is happening in every corner of his “territory”. The Bells of Wisdom are a magic obtained through rigorous training; the user doesn’t only need to acquire the magic, but also to improve their sense of hearing as well as their concentration.

-Race: Unknown; probably hybrid of human with some potential magical being.
-Organization: Church.
-Group: Priest.
-He doesn’t have a name; he is only referred to as “Glöckchen”, which means “Bells” in German. He is the unwanted child of a prostitute, and was given to the Church right after he was born. The Church then raised him to become the user of the Bells of Wisdom. The training was so intense that he grew up without having time to learn to live properly like a human being. He is kept in a dungeon, from where he surveys all activities going on in the Church’s Headquarters, therefore becoming their most powerful security device.
-Glöckchen can barely walk and his ability to speak is extremely poor. Most of the time he doesn’t speak, and when he does, he often mutters erratic words that are usually hard to decode. He doesn’t really have a personality and have little thought on his own; the only thing that occupies his mind is his work to protect the Church.
-In his dark room in the dungeon he has four guards around him, but since the Bells of Wisdom requires a very intense concentration, the guards are not allowed to speak to him. Everyday he has two hours of rest and that’s all the time he has to do everything he needs to before returning to his work. He doesn’t even have time to sleep but he has grown used to it. Not sleeping is also a special ability of his.

-Bracelet: Silver hoop like bracelets,nothing special but she likes wearing them.

_ Power: her red earrings allow her to control blood with in someone else,but it takes a lot of concentration,sometimes she can't control it if in raged.
_ Character: Aka is very strong minded and is very loyal to good causes. She tends to be a bit distant but that is due to her being a vampire and her family disowning her when she was young for her joining the Legions. Aka loves all living things, and hates that she has to feed of them meaning humans. She is very soft spoken but will get the job done which ever that is.
_ Background: Aka was born Avengers everywhere,even her parents were Avengers, but Aka never saw humans as weak or pathetic as her family and friends saw them, or loath them they never did anything to her as far as she could tell. She hated what her parents did and what they made her do, so Aka made a very tough decision and left her family and friends to go join the Legions, her parents tried to stop her and almost killed her to stop her but she survived and escaped and tried her best to turn and make them see she wasn't a bad person.

_ Power: Nereza's has a golden staff with a black orb on top of it it allows her to cast spells, with out it she wouldn't be able to do nothing.
_ Character: She tends to be dark, critical, and opened minded. She likes to make obvious points others don't see,talk more then she needs to and likes annoying people sometimes, she takes joy out of people who are unaware of themselves or surroundings or just the people she thinks are pathetic.
_ Background: Nereza was born in a human family in Germany, but always wanted to be different since her family all did the same things,looked the same,talked the same. It drove her crazy, so she decided to be, willfully be used as an experiment for the Black Organization. After her transformtion she never felt more "human" and "normal" as she did at that day. Nereza never contacted her family and never really cared to, she loved the ne live she had, as her new self.

+ Description: Zarai has short blond hair that cuts off right at the base of his neck. Towards his face his hair reached down to his chin in a feathered fashion. He has peircing blue eyes that stand out against his pale skin. On his back extend 10 ft long silver colored wings. The tips of his feathers have a blue hue to them. He stands tall at about 5'9 and weighs a light 139 thanks to his hallow bones. He also has long slashes on his body from what appears to be a blade and a whip.
+ Accessories
- A feather earring which was given to him by his parents before they died. The feather is white but with a crimson tip as if dipped in blood. This also hols his power to control wind.
- At his side reside two long silver daggers with the hilts in the shape of a dragon. When his wind fails, he prides himself in his ability with blades.

_ Power: The feather earring in his right ear which gives him the ability to control wind
_ Character: Zarai isn't normally talker. He is by no means shy or weak, he just doesn't see why he should talk to people who are unworthy of his time. He only speaks to those who have proven themselves to him or who are of a higher status. He hates humans to no end and lives to see them pay for what they did to his people. He doesn't see them as special and he wants them to suffer. When he is free of duty, he tends to sit atop a high perch and watch the life below him or train with his blades. He doesn't like crowds or small spaces because he starts feeling trapped, thus he is lable with claustrophobia.
_ Background: Zarai had once been a happy kid with no worries or troubles. However, when he was ten years old, humans had attacked his home and wiped everyone out. They captured him while he tried to run and forced to watch them kill his family and friends. Then they had taken him to their own lab to experiment on. He had been tortured there for a few years before he managed to escape, but the damage had already been done. At first he was just a rogue traveler, killing humans as he past the streets. When he heard about the Legion, he decided to offer them his hand but still finds a way to go about and hunt humans for their horrible deeds.

+ Description: Hair - Nahia has long golden hair that falls in ringlets down to just past her shoulders. The sides are always pinned back leaving a single curl on each side of her face.

Eyes - Nahia's eyes are as blue as a sapphire. They seem to glitter and darken or lighten depending on her mood. Her eye lashes are long and the corners are always painted with a blue and gold tinge. Just as she wears eye make-up of the same colour

Face - Nahia has a small beautiful face with red pouting lips.

Body - Nahia is smallish, she stands at 5'6" with a well built body that gives her agility.

+ Accessories:
Earrings - She has gold studs in her ears with small blue sapphires in the middle. She has another matching one in the top of her left ear.
Cross necklace - It's gold with a sapphire right in the middle. It always hangs around her neck. Showing her dedication to her church.
Blue dress - Nahia has a blue dress that she always wears. It is almost like a dolls, short with petticoats. It has no sleeves and is only held into place by a strip that goes around her neck. Don't be fooled by the dress it conceals a lot more than it looks.
White boots- These are made of leather and reach up to her knees. They have no heels, they are just completly flat.
Sword - Made of mostly steel with some silver plating. It has (Once again) Sapphires embeded in the hilt and is weighted perfectly for Nahia's use.
Daggers - Nahia carries two steal daggers, carried high up on her thighs. They have no intricate designs as she has a tendency to loose them.
Lust - This is a soft golden chain that it sturdier than most steal chains. It lengthen and shortens depending on what is needed. When not in use it sits around Nahia's wrist like a bracelet.

_ Power: Nahia's object gives her the ability to control lusts. Not just a sexual lust though, she can manipulate any kind of lust. Lust for things, lust for power, blood-lust.
_ Character: Nahia is a pretty well rounded girl. She has a morbid sense of humour and likes to show people that even though she looks pretty and cute she is deadlier than some of the supernaturals out there. Her anger is pretty level and she can be as calm as need be. She knows how to use her body against others. However, Nahia can have a childish streak occasionally.
_ Background: Nahia's parents were taken away when she was younger so Nahia was sold into sexual slavery. She learnt from a young age how to use her body against others and became very natural with her sexuality. One night when she was 17 she was given to a demon of sorts. She woke up a few days later with a wound that wrapped around her ribcage. She was in and out of hospital for awhile when a priest from the church came and took her away. They saw the hatred in Nahia and trained her. Something about that trip with the demon had awakened something in Nahia and soon enough her chain appeared. She has been a great asset to the church and is not only a skilled fighter but skilled with her ability.

+ Description:
Hair: An often unruly mane of jet-black, cropped rather jaggedly just beyond the collarbone. Though habitually tied back with whatever piece of cloth is handy, it seems more often than not to break free and drape his shoulders with only the slightest provocation.

Eyes: His eyes are gray in color, nothing spectacular to look at.


+ Accessories
-A set of 6 pure silver rings, even split among both sides and worn on the index, middle, and ring fingers of their respective hands.
-A likewise silver arm-guard that covers his left arm from wrist to elbow, set with a single crimson ruby.
-His weapon: a 4 and one-half foot compound bow made out of supple yew wood and reinforced with horn.
-The associated quiver, made out of black-dyed leather. Contains numerous arrows, about 30 inches in length and fletched with snowy-white swan feathers.
-His magical object: "The hourglass rosary" is (as the name suggests) a rosary composed of blackened iron beads and matching cross, lined with consecrated silver. Always worn by wrapping it around his right wrist in a secure fashion. (see below for effects)

_ Race: Human
_ Organization: Church
_ Group: Warrior for the Church
_ Power: His rosary is capable of stopping time for a few seconds within a 5 foot radius the artifact itself, or slowing the passage of time of any object within a 15 foot radius for a slightly longer duration. During this time, anyone in contact with the artifact or Julian himself will move at normal speed. Through force of will he is able to remove the 'slow-down' effect from his bow and arrows, though he cannot effect complex mechanisms such as firearms and the like. The power of the magical item is highly dependent on Julian's physical stamina and level of concentration; lasting for a much shorter period or failing altogether should he be excessively fatigued or injured.
_ Character: Though a member of the church, Julian is by no means a saint. Having never taken a vow of chastity, he is an unrepentant flirt. He is of above average intelligence, though by no means a genius; often his quick wit and tendency to overanalyze the motives of others leads him into trouble. He doesn't particularly like to follow orders and as such is prone to childish actions; this often manifests itself via passive aggressive behavior toward authority figures he does not respect.
_ Background: Having been raised in an extremely xenophobic and devout family, the young Julian was exposed early on to the violent prejudice of the church toward non-human creatures. He was harshly reprimanded for his child-like disagreement with such black-and-white labeling of all supernatural beings as evil. In an attempt to "save his soul" Julian's parents sent him away to live among the Church's order of warrior-monks. Being given over by his family to a monastery at the tender age of 11, most of his formal education was naturally undertaken by the church; focusing primarily on combat and spiritual exercises. He quickly showed much promise during the leisure activity of archery, and has presently combined his mastery of the traditional art into real combat strategy. Having been just recently approved to do the will of the church and exterminate the "outsiders," he is therefore relatively inexperienced and perhaps conflicted with the nature of his duty.

All reservations accepted. We now have 2 characters for the Legion, 3 for the Black Organization and 1 for the Church (The Church is so unpopular lol XD). I will be updating the characters list shortly. Thank you all for joining!

@AyaAmayaMiyu: I'm seeing a few problems with your characters though. Your character's power has to be a weapon, an object of some sort. I hope you'll be fixing it! As I see, GuiltyPleasure here got a nice grip at the notion of magic.

@GuiltyPleasure: I see you decided that your Church warrior didn't need to be a healer/an exorcist. It deviated a bit from my intention for the Church, but it's absolutely okay.

I'm glad it's okay. Although I could have changed it if need be. But every church is corrupt in some way or another... So why not have something resembling a temptress on their side. ^.^

So I did get a good grip on it? That's good I was worried I may have not done something to your requirements. ^.^

I'm going to post an apology in advance for practically writing a paperback novel focused solely on character development for my first post. I got sucked into my own storytelling. I'll try not to do it again, I promise!

It's all right; I enjoyed reading such interesting character development as well as the sophisticated writing. However I would like to see the plot moving from now on, else I wouldn't know what else to do.

My pleasure. I was rolling around all afternoon waiting for someone to reply, and yet... So I decided to make a move myself. XD I might even consider creating a Church character, just in case...

What was the reason you had in mind, I'm just curious?

I just had something about the demon/vampire... or as Nahia would call it a beast, use it's own power on the warrior and the warrior was being held hostage. But your idea was a much better for Nahia to be called in on.

You should make a church character if it would make it more helpful for you, or give you something more to do. I say do it if it makes you happy. : )

+ Description: Zachary has an mess of unkempt brown hair. His eyes are ones of the darkest brown, almost bordering on black. He usually wears the traditional garb of the Church's priesthood, a brown trench coat along with the even more traditionalist black shit and pants with the white collar band. He is usually see wearing a large brown fedora. On his feet rests a pair of hardly priestly set of boots, they are dark brown and looked like they could climb up a sheer 90 degree wall face, of course that is all exaggeration.
+ Accessories: In his trench coat pockets he keeps many items to list a few: The holy book of the church, some holy water, ect. Additionally, the rusted bracelet on his wrist gives him the power to make his fists as hard as iron.
_ Character: Zachary has the most usual habits for a priest. He dislikes churches, he enjoys traveling, especially on foot, and he dislikes exorcising the wicked. He is a very laid back individual and is never prompted to fight unless no other choice prevails, and he will always be one to give out a smile.
_ Background: Zachary join the order at a very young age, the moment he was born. His father was a Priest and his father and his father and his father. He began his journey into the clergy quite eagerly. He was proud to live up and surpass the Almus legacy, and that he did. He was accepted into official priesthood at the unprecedented age of 16. There he showed the world what he was capable; quite a bit. Only 4 years after his initiation he had defeated and exorcised countless Legion members. He was dubbed the Holy Thunder due to his likeness of the unarmed fighting style, and that fact that people said that, "You knew you were fighting him when you heard the thunderous response of his punches." Then something changed him, and event that cause many people to die due to his eagerness to fight. No one knows exactly what transpired but many see the different man he has now become. He no longer lusts for fighting and he hasn't exorcised a single legion member since he was 28.
