Leon aimed his pistol at the Obliterator and was about to take a shot when all of a sudden Antony landed beside him. "(Sniff).. Having trouble here Leon?..Who's your friend?.. Smells like a swede.." Antony said to him. His sudden appearance broke Leon's concentration. "What the hell are you-" Leon turned his head towards Antony and attempted to speak, but the Russian mercenary let loose a barrage of lead right at him, interrupting his statement. The loose artillery flew straight at the American agent and hit him square in the torso. The impact of the bullets made Leon recoil back, giving him reason to lose balance. "Argh..!" Leon grunted from the impact, not expecting to get hit like that. In his mind, half of him wanted to fall down and take the hit, but emergency enveloped him and he quickly regained his footing. Turning around, he quickly grabbed onto Antony's collar from the back with his free hand and ran, dragging the Alpha along with him.
Several more shots were heard as he was running. He could feel the impact as they hit his back, but the adrenaline rush he felt here to get to safety removed any feeling of impact that he would have felt. All he knew was that he had to get out of the line of fire along with Antony. Luckily for him, there was a trash dumpster nearby, which would prove a worthy cover position for now. Forcefully, he pushed Antony behind the dumpster and followed suit, seating himself against the back of the dumpster.
There was a break in the gun shots fora brief moment. Leon deduced that the man must be reloading at this point. Good, gives me a brief chance to rest. He thought, looking down at his injuries. He was surprised to see that his suit absorbed all of the damage. At least now he knew that his suit was strong enough to take hits from .32 calibers. Later he'll have to ask Shirley for the max bullet size his suit could take. Lucky I have this thing.
"So you call your dog at the last minute American. I thought you were better than that." The Obliterator yelled. From Leon's covering position, he could hear a clip fall onto the ground and another one click into the Skorpion. Great he's ready to let loose another round. Leon cringed, holding his firearm close. "The American government works with Alphas and decides to use them as weapons. Only your kind would stoop down to such a level." The Russian man stated, shooting at Leon. The ammo hit the other side of the trash dumpster, a loud clanging sound accompanying it as it made impact. Amidst the sounds of gunshots, Leon could also hear the man walking closer. It was obvious that he was trying to force Leon from his cover position. This is getting intense...if I remember correctly, this guy was aware of the Alpha presence long before I was. This also probably means he has tools to take them out... He thought, looking over at Antony for a moment. As much as this guy looks like a freak, I can't let him get in harms way, this is my fight after all...And a matter of personal pride.
"Listen Antony, this guy is after Myrtle." Leon said to Antony, wincing slightly as a piece of shrapnel flew a bit too close to him. "I know you want to help me, but for now I need you to make sure NO ONE knows I'm out here. She's gonna freak if she finds out I'm under fire from some lunatic that's after her." He put as much emphasis on this as possible. Myrtle had enough problems already and didn't need to be worried about him, especially in this situation. "The others are probably wondering where you're at, so get back quickly." Leon said, leaning out of cover slightly to see where the Obliterator was, but quickly retracted back once he saw some ammo flying by. "I'm going to try and lead this guy to another location. I've pissed him off enough already so he'll have his sights on me." Leon said, preparing his weapon. "And...if you really want to help me...once they know I'm okay you can find me... somewhere." With those last words, Leon quickly leaned out of cover, letting loose a few shots of his own. Three pinpoint shots flew, striking the Obliterator in the leg, chest, and arm.
When these shots made contact with him, he recoiled slightly, but not as much as Leon did the first time. He also seemed surprised, as the shot in his leg seemed to have pierce him. "It seems you have some tricks up your sleeve comrade. First that shortcircuit with your suit, and now a 9 millimeter that can pierce through my bulletproof suit. I admit, I underestimated you...but like you said. It ends here." He grunted, emptying this rest of his clip at where Leon leaned out. Leon quickly pulled back into cover, but was grazed lightly by a few stray bullets at his shoulder. This time, he felt the pain course through him as the lead roughed against his suit, somehow injuring his skin as well. At close range the bullets must've gotten stronger and he felt the hit of the shrapnel. He was lucky that he dodge just in time, otherwise he'd have a bullet in his shoulder.
Leon had to move now. The Obliterator was reloading and this was a good chance as any other to put his plan into action. Here goes! Quickly, Leon rolled out of where he was covering, firing two shots at the Obliterator. One shot was aimed at his head, which he was able to easily dodge by moving his head to the side. The other one hit no where in particular, making contact with the building. "Pathetic American, you need better aim." The Russian man grinned, slamming a clip into his gun. Leon quickly got up and started running, keeping his armed hand back and firing as he ran. He wasn't even sure if he was hitting anything, as long as the shots kept the Obliterator off his back that was all that mattered.
The Obliterator moved from side to side, evading as many bullets as he could from Leon. A few bullets made contact with him but none were fatal enough to wound him. From the range Leon was at, the bullets only pierced the Obliterator's suit enough to put a dent, not enough to make contact with his skin.
Just as Leon made it to the streets, the slide on his gun slid back, notifying him that his clip was out of ammo. Damn, what a time to run out of ammo. He gritted his teeth, rounding the corner to run down the sidewalk. People were walking everywhere and cars were bustling. It was a good idea to get lost in the crowd, but it was also a liability to the civilians. My ideas just get worse and worse as the results start to show...
"Now, you die American!" The Obliterator yelled, garnering the attention of many people, as they saw two oddly dressed men run out of an alley. I can't let him harm the civilians. I have to do something.. Leon thought. He had to some how grab the Russian's attention, and at the same time prevent him from shooting. One task was easy, but the other was not. What ever he decided to do though, he had to decide quickly as it looked like the Obliterator was about to take another shot.
An idea then came to Leon. Depending on how lucky he was, this would be a hit or a miss. Quickly, he ejected the clip from his gun and spun around as quickly as he could. The Obliterator was still hot on his tail with his gun at his hip, about to pull the trigger, when Leon finally made his move. "Fast ball!" He yelled, stopping and then throwing the magazine at full force at the Obliterator. The Obliterator wasn't fully prepared for this and attempted to move his gun up to hit the flying object away, but he wasn't fast enough and the clip hit him square in the face, making him stop in his tracks. Taking this opportunity, Leon quickly delivered a kick at the Obliterator's hand, effectively knocking away the firearm in his hand. Score! Leon grinned, going in for a second attack. Spinning around he quickly went for another kick, but the Obliterator recovered from his assault and caught Leon's attack before it could make contact with him. "You're starting to get on my nerves American.." The Obliterator grunted, quickly placing another hand on Leon's leg and then threw him to the side, making him break through a Starbucks glass window.
The people on the streets were terrified by this, not really sure what was going on. Some took out their phones to take pictures or record what was going on, others tried to call the police. Leon though, was in a lot of pain from this recent attack. Crashing through the window, he landed on one of the tables, disrupting a young couple's lunch. "Owww...that had to hurt." He grunted, slowly sitting up, only to see the Obliterator follow him through the forced entrance. "You have disrupted my mission long enough!" He yelled, jumping right at Leon with a fist ready to crush his bones. Leon quickly rolled off of the table just in time for the Obliterator to make contact with it, destroying the wooden piece of furniture and earning a scared look from the couple.
"Yeah, and I will keep being a thorn in your side until your face is smeared across the floor." Leon grunted, getting up to his feet. The Russian let out a light chuckle from Leon's statement. "Is that so..." He began, then quickly took out a unique looking knife. Leon didn't get a good enough chance to look at it when a blade was ejected at him. He quickly moved his arm in a striking motion, knocking the flying blade away with his plated forearm. Spetsnaz knife...this guy's decked.
Leon can only block blades with his shins, chest, and forearms. Every where else would leave him wounded. Now that another weapon was taken out, Leon had to get out of this area in order to prevent more civilians from being harmed. Things just keep on getting complicated... He thought, then quickly turned around and ran. "Don't run American, we're not done yet!" The Obliterator yelled, a laugh escaping from his breath as he ran after Leon in pursuit, ejecting blades from the Spetsnaz knife as he did so.
The blades had lousy range and accuracy, which was a good thing for our American agent. Now his main concern was getting to a safe place. The streets were already ruled out, so he had to go elsewhere. A building would mean more civilians also, so that was not a possibility. In the distance though, Leon saw a foundry. If he was lucky, it should be scarce with people, a good place for him and the Russian to finish their showdown. Keeping his sights on the foundry, he ran there, with the Obliterator tailing after him. Time to finish this.
