Deaders: Wannabe Wetboy's Log ( )

Nick Rolthner
It was my first job in wing city. I didn't know what to expect. Standard stuff. A muscle relaxant in the drink, opening attack to the back of the head and after a short tussle, I got him.

Good Points
Didn't see it coming.
Good form in combat.
Efficient body disposal.

Bad Points
Attacked too soon.
Wasn't watching for assistance.

OOC Notes.
Marcus will have my neverending respect for being the best damn sport about a character death I have ever seen. Took it better then I ever have have and ever will do. He played it straight and fair, didn't lose his cool or argue, it was all in all one of the neatest combats I've had and it was a good chance to test out my character.

Notes: Worried my character is too good, but then, I guess that kind of was the point when I made them.

Galeth Anahak
Second fight and this was quite a challenge. I had to think hard and fast. My masters would have been proud, if I hadn't killed most of them by this point. The hit was 'Galeth', a lizardman druid. Seemed simple, I was even lucky enough to have two targets in the one location, a 'Natalie Oldburn' (note to self, make a pun about that later). But that was where my luck ended.

Who I thought was a reliable set up was not. They denied helping me, walking right out. Well, at least they didn't join the fight. I guess I should be thankful. The lizardman smelt my poison and warned the other woman. Combat was the next thing to follow. In the opening hit I had the woman out of the fight from pain temporarily, but after making a nuisance of herself (for both me and the lizardman) she escaped.

Lizardmen, pah Lizardmen! I spit on them and their durability.

The first of them was all-but-knocked-out, only for his brother (a studier of Necromancy) joined in. Galeth managed to get back up. Despite this, I worked hard against my opponents and managed to incapacitate the brother and take down the hit, and then the brother gets back up.

But a success is a success.

I should mention now the Sith Lord causing me problems. An extremely competent opponent who seems to be picking on my weaknesses (regardless of whether they identify them or not). I attempted to kill him only to find him a match. Then he happened to join in on this fight (but during one exchange in the fight he vanished). I can't recall how the fight ended, probably due to exhaustion from Shadow Dancing.

Good Points
Kept calm and able to take on multiple opponents
Managed to take down the hit

Bad Points
Bad form
Lack of preparation or back up plans
Was not watching for allies
Did not do research!!!

Hoo boy. I'll report on the fights in chronological order.
First, that fight with Captain_Mark and his character Darth Oblivion. I haven't had a fight that evenly matched for some time. If it wasn't from the clearly overpowered nature of my character I would have been in real trouble. If he learned to optimise his character for fighting (although that would take away from the theme of them) he could be deadly. It's only a short step from there to making high end fighters. Naturally, I also want to thank the person who put the hit on his character. I enjoyed fighting him. The job lived to see another day (a failure? Nah, hasn't given up yet.)

The Galeth fight! At the start it was all downhill, but keeping it steady and moving things started to change. As the number of their allies dropped it sort of tipped in my favour due to god damned persistence and endurance (which only this human character of mine has as while Drakus has the persistence, he would lose out on the defenses and endurance required for this fight). In the end I got the hit and the ending sort of was cut off due to a net drop on one end or the other. I've also figured out the trick to multiple opponent fighting, but shhh!

Vampiric Rage
Well, that was interesting. I'm actually glad I killed this one in the end. Usual disposal, destroyed the brain and heart. What can I say? Now he's dead it'll be a hell of a lot easier to target his wife (Not to self, investigate link to gun). I guess, what I've learned? Always have your back ups prepared. Most importantly, always have your healer on call, no matter what. Make them understand that relationship. Also, don't approach your target before you are ready and set a trap for them to come to you, don't chase them into one. Do it again and refuse the pay of the next hit you have.

Good Points
Kept a steady head, even in dangerous situations.
Didn't falter when in trouble
Survived
Made the hit despite what risks there were

Bad Points
Walked into a trap
Almost died
Got dragged into the conditions of a fair fight (survived, but still)

OOC Notes
What to say? This fight went on for far too long. It's done. I'm done. Let's leave it at that.

Message from the Assassin tacked to a wall in Gambit's Bar

The Assassin gives you the following message!

The scum of this city disgust me.
The talk, the behaviour, the people.

I am the consequence to every action, the arm of those too weak of arm or will to do what must be done, the neverending fury which hunts you. But I'm not going to talk about me, I'm going to talk about the scum.

They're inability to face the fact that its do or die, they're constant boasting and fleeing, they're repeated insistence on being stupid, no matter how many times I inform them that thy're insisting on being stupid.

So, commit the following to memory, multiverse, as from now on if I'm asked you get a spray of acid.

I do not accept counter offers. Fuck, people. That's just bad business and dumb logic. Are you suggesting I have no integrity?

Next person to ask gets ripped a new one. Sheesh.

Next point of business!

Vampiric Rage proudly informed me that he did not lose the fight, but in fact threw it and let me win, since the obvious alternative to death is... well... death? So with this proud message he informed me that his tab is open to be charged to by all people. If you want a drink, put it on Vampiric Rage's tab. His current tab includes several random drinks, two sixteen thousand dollar cakes and a hundred kilograms of laxatives. Add to it, folks!

Final message!
The next person who runs from me gets screwed by my full potential. Seriously.

Subject Name: Kisa
Job: Kill
Classification: Unkillable
Reasons: Phasing, Teleporting and choosing to ignore a situation they couldn't escape (held child hostage with a gun that could kill her)

Can't kill them all, I guess?

What really gets me, though, is her husband (Vampiric Rage) was cloned after he died. So why not just arrange the same god damn thing and just die? Being able to let your characters die, even if you bring them back, is only a step in the right direction for accepting character deaths.

But whatever.

Marlene Angel
I'm going to be paid well for this hit, if I can be afforded after my next action.

I haven't got much to say. Firstly, don't bring Rachel into it. She's a kid and if she dies, that's a death you're not getting paid for. Plus that'd fast make me five or six enemies. Secondly, carry two of every grenade type. EMP is invaluable. Thirdly, I have only ever had one successful hit where a trap or poison has worked. Consider alternatives?

OOC Notes:
Let's see. Before the fight began there was an anti-magic field raised and a barrier placed so there was no way to escape. Explosives set at the door were simply stopped by an unlisted shield generator. Opponent then informed me, ICly through character speech, that their character had an unlimited supply of grenades and ammunition whereas I only had a few. Despite me asking them not to, other people stepped in to help. I want to thank those people as I would have had assassin die on this day otherwise. Opponent had multiple types of guns readily available, an array of grenades, psychic disruptors, multiple people who could help, could reshape the size of the barrier and so on and so forth.

Which brings me to my next set of points. If the Aschen can selectively choose the size of their energy barrier thing, why not just place it around the Assassin? Likewise, if they can beam people up, why not just do that instead? Because its godmodding. But despite the evasion of godmodding they still had an infinite amount of resources that a single person could never possibly match.

Even after I admitted the assassin had died, thus letting them be the person that killed him, thus letting them have victory/safety, they still wanted to take him alive, and tried to argue the effects of my grenade. So, forgive me brash actions, but assassin is taking this fight up to eleven. If they have unlimited resources and technology, so does he.

Ee hee hee

There's a new face in town, or more a lack of one. ME! Ha-ha!
Now that the old boy has kicked the bucket its up to someone with style to finish the job for him!

I gladly accept this challenge and will kill like no killer has before!

Well, who could possibly kill like me anyway? Ha-ha!

OOC Notes
There are a lot of common things bad roleplayers do in a fight. I'll list them as following based off a recent fight I had with the new assassin (the old Assassin died and was revealed to be another character of mine, Norrington).

1. Using Powers not listed in your profile.
This is one of the less painful ones provided you're fair, but if you're going to use something in a fight, you should have it listed. It's pretty cheap to just pull things out of the air.

2. Using Things Incorrectly.
If you have something, you'd best understand what it is. For example, flames do not make jet propulsion, a controlled and directed explosion does.

3. Teleporting
Teleporting is one of the most abused abilities I have ever seen. If you're going to have a teleport, make sure its not infinite range and one round activate. I had a teleport that was restricted to clear and obvious shadows that could fit my character and that was perfectly fair. Is it really so hard?

The Downhill Slope
These things are usually against the rules, and yet I still see them by bad roleplayers who can't handle a fight not going their way.

1. Autohitting
If you start autohitting half way through a fight you're going to get called on it. It's bad form and its a sign of bad roleplaying. It's also a sign of childishness.

2 Forcing Actions
Likewise, if half way through a fight you force a persons action, like saying 'X walks right past Y', then you've got bad form.

3. Refusal
Refusing to acknowledge attacks, damage and even stating that you cannot be killed at all for whatever reason (and it being true) is god modding.

If in the future I see someone do this, I will happily inform them what I have said here, as I'm tired of seeing it all the time.
