Dealing with the Possessed ( )

Postby Paramorex on Tue Sep 23, 2008 3:48 pm

There is a large house in the town of Starshville. Living in this house used to be a mother, father and two girls. They seemed like your normal and perfect family until the parents were found dead. The murderers? Their two daughters.

Several professionals have inspected the girls, questioned them and pulled every bit of information that they could get out of the girls. A few days later each one of those workers were found dead.

Now the authority has called in a company full of detectives that deal with paranormal life in to watch the girls.

What happens next?

Name:
Holly Marcel

Age:
27

Gender:
Female

Character:
Holly was recruited for the FBI when she was 23, and has been working as a counselor for the missing/exploited children division for the last 4 years. Instead of being fully involved now, Holly is working with Quantico to train others on how to handle situations with children. She's always been good at what she does, and has often been able to break through where others could not. Recently, Holly was approached by a group of paranormal detectives and asked to free-lance for them on cases involving children.

Hometown:
Arlington, VA

Looks:
Image

Personality:
Holly's a nice person, both in the office and outside of it. Her heart breaks when she works with the children in her cases, and because of that fact, she works even harder to help the children and solve the case. She is small in stature and with her wild hair and her nose ring, a lot of kids think she's "cool" and look on her less as an authority figure and more as a friend. She has a collection of video games, books, magazines, cds, stuffed animals, and movies that she keeps in her office and in the trunk of her car and often uses them to assist her in helping children "open up."

Background:
Holly's got a healthy dose of skepticism when it comes to the paranormal, but that's not to say she doesn't believe in it. Her family are devout Christians, and Holly is the only one who sits on the fence on the subject of God. She'll admit that she's experienced a few weird things in her time while working with children, particularly abused ones, but she's never been certain what cause some children to see things that others do not.

Other:
Holly's exceptionally professional and finds very little time for a personal life. She also never speaks to the children in her group as if they're anything other than little adults. She is frank with them, and will answer their questions as honestly as she can, and expects the same from them. She is not the sort of person who talks baby-talk to children, no matter how young they are.

((She's been changed a bit from another RP she's in. Is she okay?))

Name: None actually, but refers to itself as Geist
Age[18-40]: ...
Appearence: Invisible ordinarily, but can manifest as a shimmering grey shapeless figure.
Personality: Inordinately random, but utterly sadistic. Acts more like an asylum inmate than an evil force.

Alright if I say that the... thingy... started possessing her while they were watching Poltergeist, explaining his name? xD

You're accepted.
For the demons, I've decided that both of them won't go to a specific sister since we all probably won't be on at the same times and then it could get boring so the demons both possess both of the sisters.

Name: Elle Way
Age: 17
Appearence:
Image
Personality: Elle is a shy girl. She finds it hard to talk to anyone, including her sister. She's very calm and quiet most of the time, whiich usually unnerves people. She takes everything seriously, and never jokes. It's hard to get through to her. She acts as if her life isn't important, and so far, shows no remorse for the death of her parents. She's completely dependant on her new 'friends', as she calls them. She often speaks to them, and because of them has found a sadistic side to herself she never knew was there. It's because of this, she's started to enjoy killing.
A far cry from the cheerful, popular, normal girl she once was.

Their last name can be Way I guess. I have nothing better but since Gerard Way is amazing, Way seems to work ;].
Name: Payton Way
Age: 7
Appearence:Image
Personality: When Payton started to see her "imaginary friends" her parents thought nothing of it and thought that it was just a normal childhood stage but things started to get weird when everyone started getting hurt and then when Elle started to say she could see them too. Ever since they influenced them to kill their parents she has hated them. Payton is terrified of these demons and tries not to listen to them but she is never strong enough to fight off the will to do what they say.

She's pretty much the opposite of her sister because she always tries to ignore the demons and usually makes them angry when she doesn't listen. Payton seems to bother her sister a lot, always asking why their parents are gone and when the demons will leave them alone. She tends to make fun of her sister at times as well because of how interested she is in these friends.

I'll create the IC hopefully tonight or tomorrow morning/afternoon. I want atleast 3 or 4 detectives though.

I don't feel comfortable talking about sex in a box. -.-

On a related note, Vampires Will Never Hurt You is the best MCR song. Period. Along with I Don't Love You Like I Did, or whatever.

Then again, I hate MCR. Pink Floyd fo-evah.

Payton scares me. o_o

It's just I Don't Love You.

Vampires Will Never Hurt You is brilliant, yes, but I'm more partial to Skylines And Turnstiles, and I Never Told You What I Do For A Living myself.

God, looking back, I've based a couple of my RP's on MCR songs. [I was gunna list them, but I'm pretty sure you don't want to hear about them XD]

Also, SEVEN TIMES?! WHAT THE HELL?! I'VE ONLY BEEN ONCE! And they weren't even playing with Bob or Frank!
But the tickets were the best birthday presents I'd gotten x3

Can you tell I'm 13 yet?

I have to agree with Kilroy. Pink Floyd over MCR. And.... well, if we want to go old, the Eagles over Pink Floyd. Just because I like to drink Tequila sunrises on my roof and watch the sun come up. And I prefer to listen to their song while I do it.

And.. I'm officially old.

Genre?

PURE AWESOME.

Their first album was released in 1968, then Syd Barret, their guitarist and singer went crazy, so they brought in Dave Gilmour. Their most recent album was The Division Bell in 1994. Bassist, songwriter, and singer Roger Waters left the band in 1984 because of his feud with Gilmour.

Yeah. I've already run into 20 minutes of song. |D

Re: Dealing with the Possessed ( )

Postby Sammie Spitz on Wed Sep 24, 2008 3:30 pm

Okay, I'm not sure if this works for you. These two are kind of recycled from an RPG I was in a long time ago that was more action than investigation, but I wanted to try and reuse them. You said two characters per player, so I wanted to try this. If something's wrong with it, go ahead and tell me what. ^^;;;;

Name: John "Jack" Frost

Age: 36

Appearence: Image

Background: Jack started out with a brief stint in the army, but after a paranormal incident that took place early in his career, he was switched to a government-backed paranormal investigation team. This team traveled the globe invesitgating disturbances and paranomral activity before being disbanded several years ago. Jack continued his paranormal work independently since then with his wife Sam, who also worked on the team. They've recently gotten a call from the FBI about an unusual case.

Personality: Jack is a born adventurer and fears almost nothing. A very stubborn person, he hates being told what to do, which makes him very grateful to put some distance between him and the government. He can be a mischeif-maker and likes to kid around all the time, something that can drive Sam nuts while they're on the job. He can sometimes be hard to handle of nothing "exciting" happens, but will come running to help as soon as it looks like something's going bad.

---

Name: Sam Frost

Age: 32

Appearence: Image

Background: Sam's been a paranormal specialist for a little over a decade now, icluding traveling around the globe with the same government-based paranormal team as her eventual husband, Jack. The two have since gone independent, but have been called in again for this case. She specializes mostly in ghosts and activity related to ghost-like incidents, that was what she was doing before being signed on to the previous team and she did a lot of it during and afterwards.

Personality: Sam is the more serious of the pair. She isn't as gung-ho about getting into the action as he husband, instead acting as the brains of the pair and trying to keep a handle on him so he doesn't get into more trouble than he can handle. She also does more of the clue-finding and investigating that Jack can't seem to muster the patience for.
