I was settling into laughter over what the lycan said, but Solstice spoke.
At that moment, my sparrow tweeted hastily, landing on my finger. I laid my hand along it's jaws and looked into it's eyes. I couldn't see what it saw, but I could feel the distress, hear the panic, of my village.
My teeth grinded together, I was angry. Something was utterly wrong.
The roots holding Draco withered, and my fists clenched.

I turned, facing the other direction, and raising one hand, all the trees leaned away, parting the forest to make a clear path, their branches interlocking overhead to make a long tunnel.
"Follow or not, I am called for." I said, and I leaned forward, flying into a graceful sprint, my feet lightly touching the ground as I ran. It was faster than my normal pace, the wind tearing at my hair so hard that it pulled the cedar legend from it, undoing the ponytail and letting it beat violently behind me.
