Solstice made it to the scene. There was a large whole in the ground, and above it stood a monstorus shadow, almost as if it was a cloud of dark smoke. Looking up, he saw two, red shapes. Those must've been the eyes. Not knowing what to do, he watched it's actions. It didn't move from that spot, but let other ran twoards it in an attempt to attack it. Charging it, Solstice grabbed a sword and leapt into the air. Slashing for the shadow's arm, he discovered it was a solid, luckily. Unluckily, it noticed him and was angered. Raising it's arm, it swung it's fist down at Solstice as if it was a hammer. Not enough time or space to move, Solstice just held his sword up in the air, point at the sky, waiting for impact.
The beast slammed into his sword, and pulled back soon after, leaving Solstice without harm. It was strong, but it was stupid. It had basically just slammed onto a nail with all its might. As the creature pulled back, Solstice ran up its leg, attempting to reach its eyes, hoping they were weaknesses. The creature saw him coming, and threw him off.
Solstie hit a tree hard, and heard a series of cracks. Ribs. Ignoring the pain, he got to his feet, and charged again, this time with flame rather than steel.

"Solstice,glad you could make it to the party!" said Chras transforming into the Werewolf and running at the shadow-beast before getting swatted into the side of a house.
Chras shook his head and growled before jumping on the beasts head and punching the top,causing no damage. He though to himself "Well this is pointless" before being grabbed by the beast and thrown into a villager.

I saw it. Blood. Destruction. Had I failed my people?
I stepped forward, my hair whisking upward, my eyes a vibrant brown.
"AHHHHH!!!!!" I screamed, letting my hands reach upwards. Not my people. Not this place.
Rocks jutted out from the earth, the ground rupturing, great roots of a smooth topaz colour rising out. They twisted and contorted towards and around the creature, creating something like a loose cage of long bonzai style-trees.
I grabbed the whip at my side, and cracked it downward, letting the ground part where it hit. The Earth was my life. Nature was my love. My people were my everything.
Only so close to my land could I summon such power.
I grinded my teeth together as I took my dagger in hand as well.
I ripped my arm back and struck forward, lashing the whip at the beast, the blade tearing into it. I cracked it back again, and again, hopefully tearing at the beast.
"Not my people!!" I screamed again through gritted teeth.

Draco stopped. "Oh great, a battle scene, wonderful.." He shook his head, staring at the beast, picking up his blade, in a flast he appeared on its back. He smiled. "This is fun.." Staring at it, he shoved his hand into its mouth, sending ice down its throat. "Feel the Chill!"

Chras couldn't move he looked down at his stomach and saw a tree stump impaled through it. "Gahh!" he screamed looking around at his allies.

The beast roared at the warriors that were hurting it. Turning to its side, it saw flames being shot at it, and a woman slashing at it with a blade. Of course, it wasn't smart enough to know that it was being hurt. Raising its foot, it stomped the ground, shattering rocks and trees. It felt a sharp pain in its right arm, and let out another roar. Turning, it saw the man responsible.
Urzhad wasn't going to let this thing finish its mission, even if that meant his life. He had thrown his pickaxe, and pulled his hammer off his back, its golden figure shining in the light of the sun. Running up its leg, it smashed its leg, and it roared again, throwing him off. Getting to his feet, he ran to Solstice.
"Solstice! Gimme a boost!"
Solstice smiled at his friend, and put his sword back. Running forward, he grabbed Urzhad by the feet, and slung him forward twoards the beast's head. Urzhad flew at great speeds, but didn't make his destination. Nonetheless, he landed on its shoulders, and started to hammer at its chest, back, and shoulder.

I saw Chras. My poor tree. Oh, poor Chras.
I darted towards the beast, spinning out my whip, letting it wrap around a leg, letting me jump from a jutted out piece of earth and swinging to Chras. As soon as my feet hit the ground, I spun again. Yanking the whip with one hand, tugging the beast, and turning flexibly to cut the top of the tree with a dagger.
My whip was back at my feet, and I rolled it quickly, back at my side.
I looked at Chras, serious.
"Do not move. It's missed your vitals, you will recover, if I can get you to the Village's Healing Home. It's not far. Now, like I said, do not move."
I placed my hand on his stomach, another hand on his back. I leaned closer, concentrating, using my power to make the limb slowly retreat from him.
"Chras grab on to my hand, if I have to drag you there, it's not far."
I turned and saw Solstice's friend attacking.
Quickly I turned, taking my whip and tieing my dagger to it's end.
"Bastard!" I yelled, lashing the whip forward, which released the dagger and threw it into the beast's eye. I turned quickly and held out my hand for Chras.

The eye was hit with the dagger, and it fell to the ground. It wasn't an eye at all. It was actually a blood-red gem shaped like a diamond. Solsice now knew how to defeat it. He had seen a picture of these gems just moments ago in his package. The gem went from red, to blue, to green, to white, to black, then made a small explosion.
"Urzhad! Go for the other eye!"
Urzhad nodded and ran forward, jumping over the beasts head. He smashed the hammer into the side of the beasts face, and smiled at the sound of the loud crack. Swinging around, he hit the other gem, and watched it shatter to a million pieces. The beast roared, screeched, hollared, and Urzhad made a quick decent downward.
Thrashing around, the beast started to gradually shrink, grabbing the place where its eyes had been, it screeched a high-pitched sound, making Solstice grab his ears. As it shrank, it began to stumble, and fell back into the hole it had come from. Silence.
Solstice made his way forward, the leaves and sticks crunching in a familiar tone. Peering over the hole, he saw nothing but darkness. This was not a hole leading from Earth, but from another deminsion. This hole should have fire and lava, but it was nothing but utter darkness and silence.
Picking up a rock, he dropped it into the hole. As it bounced off the walls, no noise echoed. There was a loud rumble and the earth shook. Everyone fell down, and every tree within a mile radius fell as well. As Solstice got to his feet, he saw that the hole was gone.
"What the hell was that?"

Solstice got to his feet, and turned to the girl.
"Look, if I told you what I know, you wouldn't be able to handle it. Dwarves and Elves have stronger hearts and minds, and can handle things more than other races. If I told you, you would probally go insane. I'm not telling you so that I can protect you."
Walking over the place where the hole had been, he helped his friend Urzhad to his feet. They shared a look of fear and worry. Solstice whispered to him so that nobody could hear.
"What should I do? If I tell them what's going on, they'll go crazy."
"Then don't tell them. It's that easy my friend."

"So, I'm of no use to you, then?" Aelita asked, running after him. She neglected to mention that, if she really, really wanted to, she could probably get into his mind using her telepathy and find out what it was he was hiding from her, for a number of reasons.

I looked up, trying to regain myself.. I had a new mission. Revenge. Protecting the Earth. I am Akasha of the Earth, I have a duty of keeping my name, not letting it slide into the hands of a beast. That was not of it's own creation, it was a summon. The Earth is my nature, and there was no great beast as such beneath it's surface. The beast was conjured by something dark. But what.

"Look, we can't tell you yet. We have to wait until the time is right to reveal what we know. But by that time, you will have already figured it out probally. Don't take it the wrong way, but Solstice is right. Dwarves and Elves have stronger minds and hearts than other races, which is why we can live a lot longer, and why Elves are so wise."
Urzhad spoke to Solstice this time.
"Solstice, can we speak alone?"
"Yes."
Urzhad took Solstice by the arm and dragged him out of earshot.
"Solstice, they're getting to suspicious. They know that you know something, and are going to try to break you. Don't let your heart get weak, and stay strong. Don't give in, no matter what."
"I know Urzhad. You can trust me. I give you my word."

I took my time, restraining myself. I stood up again, not smiling, but I looked as I would've earlier. Stress free. One of my abilities. To regain a happy or somewhat at peace outlook on things when they were awry.
I strolled off to Solstice, and put my hand on his shoulder.
"I won't be bothersome, like I said earlier. You do not have to tell me what happened. Just that if you are going after it, I would like for you to take me with you... Please. I have to avenge my people, and protect the Earth."
My long hair danced forward, sliding past him in it's length, shimmering dark green. I moved to stand in front of him, so that my hair blowed away from me. My eyes were rich with seriousness. I could not let him tell me no. My lips were held firmly in a strong expression. My stance was filled with a warrior's strength. I would not falter again. I held my head up with duty and pride. I knew I could be of great service. He could not deny me. He would not.

Aelita spoke in his mind again, but, respecting his privacy, she made sure that it was only her voice that entered his head -- she did not wander amongst his thoughts and memories.
I will be glad to come with you... if you'll have me.
The telepathy had driven Aelita mad when she was younger and couldn't controll it -- she had found herself forever slipping into other peoples' thoughts and memories, and it messed with her own head extremely. It took her years to control it, but when she had finally mastered it, she made sure never to snoop in other peoples' thoughts and memories without a very good reason to. Peoples' minds should be their own.
