Bio:
he and his brother would help out in the blacksmiths owned by their father. they would shape intricate swords, bend pieces of armour into the right shape, whatever was asked of them they would do it. then they would go home to their mother, and be given delightful meals of soup, homemade bread and cheese. they ate no meat, as it was forbidden to kill an animal in their culture.
at the age of fifteen, Cassius developed the ability to communicate with animals. not talk to exactly, just communicate his intent. he would spend hours sitting with a deer he had drawn to him with calming images, stroking it's side and murmuring softly to it. then he would go home once more.
one day when he got back, his brother and fathers faces glistened with tears. they told him of how their mother had fallen off the edge of a cliff, and died. but then, with many pauses, told him that this was not in fact his family. he had then left, determined to seek out his real family.
[[I hope im not too late, if so then say. and, btw, what are the gates? what causes them? a little more detail would be nice.]]
