This is where we can start!

Our world has been invaded by an unseen enemy. Humans become hosts for these invaders, their minds taken over while their bodies remain intact and continue their lives apparently unchanged. All of humanity is gone, or... Most of humanity has succumbed so it seems. The aliens think that the humans were going to kill theirselves out, the violence and torture of the planet was overrated. Disturbing and disgusting to the souls, who have been in more then one planet, where creatures could have different abilities and emotions, colors that do not exist on earth, therefore they always know more. There is no more money in the world, the aliens beleive in equality, everything is in 'peace' as so they call it.

It had been a war, the human race is now 'gone' nothing but the souls of the aliens left or so they seem. Any 'wild' humans still lurking around that figured what was happening are to be captured and turned in. Giving their bodies up as hosts for the souls.

Little do they know there is a few humans lurking around in the shadows, feeling alone and helpless, they know more then the souls want them to. They have to be careful of the seeker souls that search for them, the healers that complete the tranformation, the comforters, any higher ranked souls that could threaten them.

Starting off near around california heading towards upper and eastern northamerica the invasion was complete and the war was lost, aliens now rule.

Settings: Desertly Los Vegas area, staying around that california area, yet also travelling down to more dry areas of northamerica staying away from Canada. Its a dark night, dry and warm, yet not so much movement

--------------------------------------------

It’s hot, and its also dark out, she knows she doesn’t have much time until the old couple came back. The house and everything around is peaceful, and quiet, only her nervous breathing from her lips panted lightly as she looked around cautiously making sure no cars or movement is around her. She reaches out her hand behind her neck and sighs feeling the lump where her scar is, in order to blend in to seem like one of them. She bites the inside of her cheek, she could only hope but it was nothing like theirs, but it was something.

She stood slowly, stumbling a first she had been crouched down so long and after four hours of walking from her secretive home; her legs are already cramping and falling asleep. Dressed in casual beige shorts and a white tank top her long hair, dirty blonde and curled naturally, held back in a high ponytail a few thick strands tucked behind her ears. Her skin sun kissed and very tan from the California sun, her palms sweaty already from nerve. Her soft hazel eyes glanced around as she headed towards the back door, the souls never locked their houses, they never expected robberies anymore... not ever.

Her fingers trembling as she reached the knob and walked in, her footsteps clanking on the expensive marble floors she re-clutched her switchblade in her hand and moved quickly, panting as she ran to the kitchen and unzipped her bag, taking the things that would last the longest. She looked through the drawers, and sighed as her stomach growled viciously at a craved the crackers just sitting they’re waiting for her. She stuffed her face with one or two, nearly moaning with how much flavor it held, she yet winced when she swallowed her lips cracked the salt burned and she was so thirsty. She turned on the tap and filled her large container with tap water and then dunked her head to catch some water with her mouth gasping at how it quenched her deadly thirst.

Once loaded, the young woman sighed and slipped her bag on her shoulders, breathing happily... she had done it. Yet her eyes widened when she heard a nose from within the house, her round face, slim pointed nose, and high cheeks expressed her emotions almost too well, only a gasp was heard from her. She froze, her muscles stiff and still acheing she looked around her jaw locked to one side as she waited..

Jack blinked a few times, in the dark. He turned slightly to close the window that he had entered through, and adjusted his grip on the well-worn handle of a small pistol. He'd managed to steal it from a Seeker long ago, and had cradled the unused weapon ever since. Apart from a single misfire when he was young, he'd made sure to care for -- but never waste -- the gun's deadly potential. Especially now, as so much of the world fell into its own variant on 'safety' and 'peace'. He couldn't live without his freedom, which was something it seemed as though the 'aliens' had sacrificed long ago.

He shook his head a few times, and, aiming the pistol sideways as he crept through a bedroom, looked around. He opened a drawer and tried to make out what was inside -- refusing to turn on a light for fear of being caught. He yawned slightly and swung the gun out in a defensive pattern before moving on into the hall.

Still nothing worth taking.

Long ago, he had tried to build something of a home, in an abandoned basement. He would steal the occasional, small, piece of furniture -- and sometimes even decorations, if he was well-fed -- to try and have some happiness. The seekers had stumbled upon his creation, however, and he had barely been able to escape them. It was then he began teaching himself to pretend to be like one of 'them', to mesh into and out of their society -- between disguises and shadows, to travel and never call another place his home.

He'd entered his teen years awkwardly, in his vagabond-nomad styled life. Now he seemed to rely more on burglaries than anything.

Again, he shook his head of distracting thoughts and approached the stairs. Maybe he could at least gather some food. This trip wouldn't have been an entire waste.

-- Suddenly, he was almost positive he had heard something. His eyes widened, and he aimed the gun out in front of him, waiting.

She began to feel panic crawling all over her, she turned around and heard more steps, she swallowed hard, and with quivering hands switching her blade out making a swift click sound which she closed her eyes and cursed under her breath before she opened her eyes and put her stuff down, before she took out a small flashlight, her heart thundering against her chest almost hurt...

Walking up ahead every movement she made seemed too loud for anyones taste, her eyes squinted she licked her bottom lip and turned the courner her heavy breathing noticeable, seeing someones body down by the stairs, she turned the courner and she suddenly let out a soft scream, which was cut off awkwardly from the fear in her throat, almost choking her from the sudden air shooting from her. " Damn." she muttered, panting as she quickly shut her flashlight before pressing her back against the wall before she grabbed her water container and sighed.

Blade in the other hand she squeezed the handle before she turned around the courner, being as quick as possible to thurl her heavy bag to perhaps hit him or scare him, before she ran behind him, hopefully he was dazed and try and get him to surrender by keeping the sharp part of the blade by his throat, already behind him panting on his neck. " Don't move..." she said threatningly reaching to get her bag, her eyes widenening at the gun, knowing if he was a seeker that he would kill her any chance.

Jack wasn't quite sure as to what was going on, as he heard some shuffling around in the darkness. Soon enough, a bag struck him in the face, and he stumbled backwards, keeping his grip on the gun tight. Before he could fully recover, the girl he'd heard previously somehow managed to maneuver herself behind him, and press the blade of a knife to his neck.

He gritted his teeth slightly, and rolled his fingers around the handle of the gun. "We're cool..." he mumbled in a low, seemingly-calm monotone, after she told him not to move.

He had never really come up with a genuine reason to use the gun he'd protected over the years; until now. He held the gun lower to his waist, and began angling it slowly, hoping to get a clear shot at one of the girl's legs.

If not for the waste of bullets, he'd look forward to putting one between her eyes, as well. The way she seemed to shakily try and demand power left him bitter, and angry.

Jaw locked while she swallowed the large amount of saliva forming at the back of her throat, beads of sweat forming down her forehead as she re-gripped the handle of her threatening weapon before she took a glimpse and remembered his gun. She growled and moved one hand to the top of his head to get a hold of his hair and yank his head back, " Drop it seeker!" she spat her voice flooded with hatred as she said 'seeker'. Gripping his hair tighter she grew stronger with her grip and pressed the tip of the blade closer to his neck, hoping the teeth of the knife would start to pinch his skin in warning.

Leah took a breath, " Listen you damned seeker, either way... I'm going to have to kill you,” she said taking a step back and bringing her with him, " You can't be trusted" she spat. He was about the same height as her, yet that made no advantage to him she was more experienced.

Looking around she glanced at her bag on the floor; she would have to get rid of this soul and host soon. The aliens that live here could be back soon, and she needed her food and other toiletries. She looked down waiting for 'it' to speak, her usually warm melted like eyes were cold and filled with fury, her muscles tense and strained holding him back with all she had.

Jack kept his grip on the gun, even as she grabbed some of his hair. He nearly fired by accident, having been entirely caught off-guard. His hand only tightened, almost feeling as if it was beginning to cramp with the strain he put on the gun. He exhaled shakily, trying to keep his throat even to avoid the knife she was holding. His eyebrow rose at the word 'seeker'.

"Seeker?" he asked suddenly, roughly. "What the hell are you talking about?" his words were still a bit quiet, as he didn't want to attract any other attention, or get cut by the woman's knife. However, he refused to drop the gun, instead, ignoring her. Particularly as she said she was going to have to kill him.

"I'm not a seeker," the hiss barely escaped his lips, as he flexed his fingers around the handle of the pistol. If she was going to try and kill him anyways, he'd be shooting all the way down.
