Yeah I've been away for awhile, i doubt anyone really noticed but yea anyway, I'm back. So of course I'm here to post 2 ideas for rp's Ive been thinking about. The reason you checked out this thread is probably because you saw Deathnote in the title, so I'll start with that. I'm a huge Deathnote fan, and let me just say...The ending... it was awesome, but i hated it at the same time. I was one of the many that choose Light's(Kira's) side, over L's. Anyway to the rp...

So, feeling a little lazy, or don't have a interest in watching the anime or reading the manga? Want me to sum it up for you? Well i don't think I'm in the mood. But what kind of person would i be if i didn't?

So Deathnote is based around a teen name Light Yagami, a genius in his own right. Light lives his days as any genius would, until one day while in class, Light spots a Notebook falling from the sky. Little did Light know that this notebook was going to change his life. After class Light found and read the book. A set of rules was written inside...

At first Light dismisses the book as a silly prank, but soon becomes very interested in it. So he tests it out, and finds that this notebook has the power to kill. He decides to use the notebook to purify the world and make it into paradise. Along the lines a another teen, whose genius equals or maybe surpasses Light's soon intervenes with "Kira's" plan.

I'm not going to give out the rest for you should see for yourself. Anyway, this rp would take place 20 years after the events that occurred in the deathnote series. Another Note was found by someone and the killings have continued. The police are at a standstill with what they need to do next, and the city is thrown into chaos. Some encouraging the new "Kira" while others want them brought to justice.

The people who signed up will be students, all picked for a special purpose. They've been chosen to help the police with the kira case for different reasons.The students will have Aliases, but will pm their characters real names to me. I won't be a student. I play any other roles that need to be played. (Teacher, police, etc.) So when people sign up, i will PM the person who has the deathnote. Your job is to find out who has it. The person who has the note will has to make sure they aren't discovered. Reveal information if you please, but if the person who has the note can, and will be able to kill you if they find out. Only things we do as a group, or in school, etc goes in the thread. Things like meeting up later to discuss the case privately can be done in pm's. This is just to keep things interesting.

Its in a fantasy/Futuristic realm. Robots and elves interest you? magic and guns draw your attention?

Its war. The orcs, goblins, and ogres have joined forces, along with other monstrosities, and plan to take over the world with mass armies, and impressive fire power. They have invaded a few human and elven cities, but nothing seems to be able to stop their blood lust. Think you can stop them? Prove it, by joining as a mercenary to combat the evil force.

i have a long story for this, just seeing if anyone would join.

The death note RP sounds awesome! I love how you actually have to work out who Kira is... I would love to join that if you made it, but I'm not exactly sure if I could RP something like that (it sounds like it could get very complicated and advanced!)

Well i hope not O_o I'm not one for the advanced stuff. My brain can't handle it. lols. But yea, as long as you're active, and know about Death note and stuff. It shouldn't be to bad. Who knows, you might get the note yourself. >=]

Haha, I hope I don't get the note. I fail with thinking of big epic plans and such. And I've seen most of the Death Note anime, so I'm pretty much all good with that.

I really dig both ideas, but I don't think I've ever run across a Death Note RP before. (Then again, I'm oblivious, and I've heard horror stories about some that suck all of the epicness and intelligence out of the series and replace it with mushy romance. Come on, guys, it was basically lethal chess!) Anyway, your plot and the way you're going to run it sound most excellent indeed. I'll be looking out for this for sure~

Lol, well no, i doubt there will be much romance here. You could be flirting with a killer >=]. Oh, if kira does find out your name, by no means will i stop them from killing you. Maybe i can have them post pone your death but who knows.
