Since the last topic I made didn't go the way I wanted really, I'm making it over. I'm just a silly perfectionist...

Prelude:





You are one of these people. Of course, if you weren't it would be a little difficult to RP in this topic, now wouldn't it? If you're interested and are pretty literate, welcome! We will begin after a couple of people join...

For now, I shall introduce you to some basic rules:

1} Absolutely NO god-modding. If I see a lot of it in your posts, I'm going to have to ask you to leave.
2} No sex scenes. Nudity, MAYBE, if it's tasteful. No LOOKATMABOOBSGUYS!-type posts. For that I will have to have a little talk with you.
3} No Flamming. Simple enough. No reason it should happen.
4} Questions, OOC comments, etc., will be posted HERE! That's kinda the point of an OOC...
5} FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, PLEASE USE GOOD GRAMMAR AND POST ELOQUENTLY! I don't want to see a novel, but a very descriptive post is nice. I know there will be days one post won't be as intuitive as the other, but please do your best in making it sound descriptive.

There aren't a lot of "rules", so I wouldn't expect them to be abused. I just ask you guys conduct yourselves reasonably in the IC at least...

Bio Summary: Kaiyori use to be a normal girl in her village. Until one day for some unknown reason she killed every child in the village with out he realizing it. Her parents brought her to a Monk who they thought that he could take the evil spirit away from her body. It failed leading the spirit to call forth a demon to takeover Kai's body.
Now she's alone shunned by everyone struggling to survive.Her quiet and cold personality makes her more and more like a demon. She wonders the streets wondering what her role is in the world. Grasping as much humanity is left in her as possible

Weapons (Main): Claire, being that she is a fencer, prefers to use a rapier. It is slightly longer than the traditional (to help make up for her alternate blade), and tops out at just under four feet in length. It is sharpened In a nontraditional way as well, following a great Italian fencer; both sides of the blade are sharpened, though only on the first six inches from the tip. The hilt and guard both have intricate gold layers along the reverse side. (Nicknamed- Nara)

Weapon (Secondary): Finally, Claire’s second weapon. Her second blade is a saber, similar to the rapier in length, but not width. The blade’s thickness is about 1 ¼ inches and is sharpened along the entirety of its combat edge. There is ornate gold trim along the hilt, for the guard. (Nicknamed- Tomlin)

Natural Abilities:
-Blessed Knight: Claire’s dedication to the holy and just cause has allowed her to be blessed by the Light, itself. The blessing imbues her blades with the guidance of the Unseen. [Described in her background.] Weapons in her grasp let off a faint ice blue aura.
Shorthand:) Her blades cause slightly more damage due to unseen burns, and tend to be more accurate (for thrusts and jabs) They also react in defense MUCH more quickly than for attack, due to the blessing.

Spiritual Battle Attributes: Claire, due to her experience, has the ability to sense evil.

Fighting Style: Closest to Italian/United Kingdom Fencing.

Background:
Order: To understand Claire and her history, you must first understand what she is. She is a member of the Order of Light; a radical religion on crusade against any and all evil or darkness. The Order was created, or at the very least conceived shortly after the discovery of both good and evil.
The Order was not planet restrictive, but carried its message across the stars through the spiritually attuned. It was strong, and strict, but with few laws. The Order’s regulations were simple:
Adhere to the chain of Command, and you will be granted paradise.
Your life is for the good of Light, and the bane of Shade.

The Order’s Chain of Command: The ranks of the order are fairly simple.
Light: The all encompassing good in the world.
Listeners: Seers whom dedicate their life to interpreting the Light, for the campaign against the Shade.
Strategists: Take the information from the Listeners and direct the soldiers against the Shade.
Knights: Elite fighters for the Light; they tend to lead the lowest rank of the Order.
Martyrs: The lowest rank of the Order; they are either new unproven pledges, or simply prefer to work in groups.

There is also a sixth rank the Order may attain known as the Emissary. This is described further later, and is not known by many outside of the Listeners.

Most warriors from the Order of Light (at their weakest) are phenomenal swordsmen, marksmen, or magi; renowned and sought for their abilities, and natural kindness. However, against the many creatures, warriors, and things of the night, many of the Order do fall. Of course, as promised, should any of the Order fall under command from the Light, or in support of the Light, they are granted paradise in the afterlife.

Once slain, any member of the order (under the previous law) is escorted from their body by the Unseen [Described later]. They are brought to the Light, where their paradise is revealed, then given for eternal afterwards. This is foretold to last until the war between the Light and Shade ends.
However, some warriors find paradise in combat. Upon falling in battle, these warrior’s spirits are granted a different paradise, and status; the Unseen. Their soul is given a spiritual form, and sent to follow the Order's soldiers during battle. The Unseen are able to manipulate weapons, possess bodies of fighters in order to change the tide of battle. These are the most honorable of the Order of the Light, but are only known by those who have passed.

Claire, however falls under a different category altogether. Certain tasks are far too delicate to give to Martyrs, or Knights. To the Listeners, and the Light itself, Claire is known as an e\Emissary. She is sent rapidly to several planets to diffuse plans created by Shade or evil, before Knights and Martyrs are chosen for the planet. Claire is the spearhead of most operations (there are only ten Emissaries alive ever, at any one point).
The origin of Claire, herself, is a rather disturbing story and is downplayed greatly. During the beginning of the Light’s crusade, the very first ten Emissaries were chosen. They were the greatest warriors of their time, and rarely left the battlefield without destroying enormously beyond their own number. In fact, their creation had almost ended the war entirely. During the final siege against the remnants of the Shade empire, three of the ten Emissaries went missing.
Fearing the worst, the remaining Emissaries attacked the last Shade stronghold. Much to their chagrin, the missing Emissaries were inside, though they were not held as prisoners, but rather leaders. The legend becomes confusing at this point, and not much is written to define the exact events. What is known is that the Shade’s rule did not end that day, and five new Emissaries were brought into the Order after the Betrayal. Claire was the first chosen to fill the honored Emissary role. Her body and spirit, though not yet even a Martyr, was extraordinarily in tune with the Light.
She had felt the loss of the Betrayal without any form of magi or seer to help channel the Light, and wept that afternoon, praying for those whom were lost. Her diligent prayer, in combination with her fencing skill provided the perfect medium for a new Emissary. The day of her prayer, at the moment she opened her eyes, she was granted the knowledge of all the history of the Order of Light and offered the position. Feeling the urgency of the situation, she accepted.
Currently: Claire is being rotated on peacekeeping watches throughout the galaxy. The Light sends her, specifically, to end Shade quarrels. Her fighting style is quick, graceful, and lethal. More to the point, it’s precise.

on humans as well as demons alike.

Weapons: Hidekawa's Torment (Katana only available on a full moon)

Appearance: Short straight black hair giving accent to his bright red eyes. Mediocre body frame.
not too thin not too fat and not too muscular. On his Ghost form, he wears the last
clothes he wore before his death. Rugged jeans and a white tank-top partnered with
a dark leather jacket. On his physical body manifested during a full moon, the leather
jacket and tank-top disappears leaving only his rugged jeans. Also, a tribal tatoo manifests
in his left chest that deteriorates in time tuned with the availability of the full moon.

Bio: Kyosuke Hidekawa, Age 22, Belonged to a Demon Hunter organization called Mirage.
though that organization was quickly destroyed by the demons slaughtering every member
affiliated to it. Kyosuke, being one of the hunters wasn't spared. Driven by the strong desire
to fulfill the lifelong goal he vowed to do upon entering Mirage, Kyosuke managed to maintain
a strong connection to the mortal plane thus allowing him to stay as a ghost.
Being a ghost, he wasn't able to accomplish anything due to various restrictions but his will
was strong enough allowing him to gain a few abilities in due time.

Abilities/Assets: The heightened senses of a feline, feline jumping capability and flexibility. He also has the ability to control water, to keep himself from getting wet after so many years of living with English rain.
Weapon(s): Two gauntlets with three sharp retractable blades that are released and hidden once again with a flick of the wrist. He calls them his claws, as he does not have his own retractable claws.

Bio Summary:
Avis grew up as the runt of his demon family, caste out after he was old enough to look after himself as he was found to be useless to the other demons. He grew up alone for many years; traveling across England in search of someone he could call a friend. Humans ran from him when they saw his feline features, while demons simply ignored him for his weak appearance.
He eventually left England, having picked up his power over water before he left, and heading to the other side of the world, in search of some place where he wasn’t seen as weak, or a freak.

was beginning to think the RP was abandoned. but anyways,
it really has this interesting air in it so i'm very much excited to
know how the plot unfolds.

forgive my crazy assumption. in any case, i'm kinda new to the world
of RP, so if you find some mistakes in my posts or anything, please
do not hesitate to tell me. Open Criticism is welcome too. (just not too harsh )

I didn't know RP characters had birthdays. pretty grand idea.

On a side note, the subtitle is Rise of the Youkai Clan, i'm assuming this RP would involve battles among
the player characters yes? or we are to follow a different path that ultimately leads to a unification
of characters towards a single goal?

no worries, reading is one of my favorite hobbies. i'll give it a read later on.
