When Mastema woke up the next morning, two others were in the apartment with her. For a moment, she was afraid it was Zack and Raphael. But they wouldn't have been able to get past the front door. She realized then it must be the two packages she'd ordered.
"On time as always," she murmurred to herself as she changed into a short black dress and small-heeled sandals. After changing and doing the necessary human things, she headed into the living room. A young girl with black hair and blue eyes stood in the middle of the room. She was petite, cute, face open and pretty. Of course, she was no match for Mastema, but nontheless was very attractive. Especially in the plaid green girlscout uniform.
The girl stood there silently for a moment before inclining her head in a subservient way, "Good morning, Mistress."
"None of that now, you're to call me 'Masa'. Or 'big sister'."
"Yes, Masa."
"And I want you to be a little more cheerful and... smiley, all right? Friendly."
The girl answered her command with a large grin. Mastema patted her on the head before turning her attention to the animal at the girl's side. The large dog sat on it's haunches, it's gold eyes staring up at her attentively.
It was a massive beast, its head reaching above her hips even in a sitting position. The fur was short, black, and coarse, but slick to the touch. If someone tried to grab the dog, their hand would slide off without attaining a good grip. It had an elongated face and triangular ears that stood up in attention. It slightly resembled a wolf, but was more solidly built.
Mastema scratched the dog under it's chin and it growled low with pleasure, "Good boy. Now, we're going to go for a walk and I want you to be nice to the boys if we meet them." Around the dog's neck was a brown leather collar with a leash attached. She picked up the leash and began to exit the apartment, but paused and turned, "Oh, yes. Girl, stay here. If anyone knocks, answer the door politely and tell them your big sister is out walking the dog and that she'll be back soon."
The girl nodded, still smiling. A pleased smile gracing her red lips, Mastema stepped out of her apartment, the dog padding silently beside her.
"Let's see if the boys are awake, shall we?" she cooed to the animal, knocking on the door to Raphael's and Zack's apartment. Inside, she could hear them moving about even though it was early.
