"Yeah, two, please, if that's not too much trouble," said Mastema, straightening. She giggled again. "You know, I haven't seen you two around much. I only live two doors down. What do you guys do for a living?"
She tucked a lock of black hair behind her ear, "You guys can call me Masa, by the way." She smiled brightly.

"Haven't seen you around here much, either. At all, in fact. I'm Zack, by the way." he said, with a wide grin as he walked up to the sexy lady. "Professional freeloader, at your service." he says, holding his hand out. There was something weird about this gal, something tugging at the back of his mind. Maybe it was just the weed messing with his head, maybe something was genuinely different about her. Or both. Either way.. She was hot as hell. Good enough for him.

Raphael blinked and nodded at Masa's request, turning into the kitchen to fetch the eggs. He opened the fridge and over his shoulder he heard Zack introducing himself and flirting with the woman.
Raphael scoffed and reached into the fridge searching for the eggs. Like the man wasn't enough of a chick magnet. He almost towered over most woman, which apparently was extremely attractive. His long shaggy hair hung infront of his face, untamed. Raphael knew for a fact that Zack never brushed his light black hair, which also hung just over his bony shoulders. Zack was almost too skinny for his own good, it had to be all that pot he smoked. But women still flew into his arms at the sight of his skinny pants hanging on his thin hips. It just didn't seem fair.
Raphael shook his head and sighed, but then again, his life wasn't being so fair lately.

She giggled at the freeloader comment, "Nice to meet you, Zack." Mastema reached out and took his hand, shaking it lightly. She let her hand linger in his longer than necessary before pulling it back.
"I just moved in last week," she explained conversationally. "So that's probably why you haven't seen me around much." She played with the collar of her shirt, letting her fingers drift across the exposed skin.
"And what's your name?" Mastema called, raising her voice slightly so the other boy could hear her. She could pick out the sound of him rummaging through the fridge.

Raphael jumped at the sound of the woman talking to him and banged his head against the top of the fridge. Cursing he pulled out of the fridge to turn and look at Masa, "Oh, my name's Raphael. Sorry for not telling you."
Raphael stared at Masa for a few moments before bending back down again to grab the eggs from the bottom shelf. He carefully picked them up and pulled them out of the fridge to set eggs on the counter. He closed the fridgerator door and turned back to Masa to look at her. She truely was beautiful. She stood with the presence of a woman who knew what she wanted, and wasn't fucking afraid to get it. Her jet black hair hung only a few inches past her sloping shoulders. The cotton shirt clung to her skin, hanging low under her collar bone, exposing cute little freakles. Raphael couldn't help up smile at her, she was truely amazing. If he could, he would stare at her all day.
After realizing that he had been stareing at her, Raphael jumped slightly and turned, absent mindingly brushing off his shirt. It had become a bad habit, "So, what made you want to move here, Masa?"

Mastama giggled again as the boy hit his head on the top of the fridge. He introduced himself and apologized for not doing so earlier. How cute.
"Nice to meet you too, Raphael."
Raphael stared at her for a moment before snapping out of it. Self-consciously he brushed off his still slightly damp shirt, "So, what made you want to move here, Masa?"
"Oh, well, nothing really," she said, shrugging her shoulders. She wandered over to Raphael, slightly brushing against him as she reached over and grabbed the eggs he'd set on the counter. "This city isn't too far from my hometown, but far enough so I can be on my own, you know? I just wanted to try being by myself for awhile." She smiled innocently up at him, only inches of space seperating them. "How long have you lived here?" Masa tilted her head to the side.

He watched the sexy gal go past him, and move real close to Raph, practically touching him. Zack moved so he was out of the woman's view, and flashed a double thumbs-up to his friend. If the chick was really into him, and not just a beautiful bitch like a lot of girls that pretty, then this would be great for him. Raph really needed a girl to spice up his life.

Raphael pulled his face back a little, the heat rushing to his cheeks. Masa was so close, almost to close for him. He could hear his heartbeat in his ears, his eyes widened with surprise. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Zack give him a double thumbs up and he gulped. He had his eyes glued to her perfect luscious scarlet lips, part slightly, demanding the attention.
"I-I, er, well, you see....I've been here for atleast a year now. But Z-zack...he's only been here a few months." he studdered out.
Raphael nodded to his own response and continued, "He was away on some business trip, that he had been looking forward to for so long. And I knew he was going to have a hard time coming back to nothing, so I found a place we could share. Ever since then we've been living here. I really like it, but it could use a few more colors...don't you think?"
Raphael chuckled nervously and blinked at Masa, begging her to answer so he wouldn't have to hear himself ramble any longer.

Zack smacked his forehead and shook his head, looking down. He always did this when a girl seemed to be interested in him, babble on and look like an idiot. Maybe if he would take him up on one of his offer to smoke a blunt together, he wouldn't be so uptight, and would loosen up.

Raphael leaned back a bit, obviously uncomfortable with the invasion of his personal space. Mastema noticed the faint blush rushing to his cheeks.
He managed to stutter out that he'd lived there for a year, but his friend Zack had only been present for a few months. He babbled on about a business trip Zack had been on and then asked her if the apartment needed more color. Huh?
Mastema nodded as if he was making perfect sense. She turned to survey the apartment, "Oh, I don't know, it has a certain charm to it." A manicured finger absently tapped ruby red lips, "Hm."
She set her eggs back on the counter and began to walk around the room, circling around until she was next to Zack, "Maybe some green would be nice. What do you think, Zack?"
She looked up at him now, her arm lightly touching his.

Her skin was warm, and pleasant. Even though he was no stranger to a woman's touch, it still felt nice, despite.
Zack smiled at her and shrugged, glancing around the apartment, "Honestly, Masa, I have not the faintest affinity for interior design. I'm more of one to do something physical," he said, giving her a playful wink.
"How about yourself, what are you into?"

Raphael watched as Masa walked away, and it was like everything slowed down. He watched the way her legs moved with the leather and he sighed. He'd lost his chance again.
He watched as Masa flirted with Zack and he felt a pang of sadness. It was his fault, he'd killed the mood.

Masa giggled at the innuendo, "Oh, I just like to do the things normal girls do. You know." She waved her hand at him, "Shopping, etcetera. Girl stuff. Although, since I haven't been here long, I really haven't had a chance to get a good look around." She pouted a bit, lips pursed in dissappointment. "I don't even know where the good clubs are."
She sighed, her chest heaving in an exaggerated manner. "And I don't even know who to ask..." she trailed off.

Raphael groaned to himself and rolled his eyes. He was in no mood to watch Zack flirt with this woman. He would give anything to be able to get away. As if on cue Fluffy began to scratch at the bedroom door.
"Oh!" Raphael exclaimed, "Here, I'll give ya'll some time alone. Fluffy gets a little testie when she's alone to long." He waved his hand at the two as he walked back them into his bedroom.
He opened the door, and picked up Fluffy, turning to face Masa, "It was nice meeting you, Masa." He closed the door quietly behind and stared at Fluffy. That funny feeling was still in his stomache. He had a feeling it had to do with Masa.
"What is it Fluffy? Huh? You never scratch on the door..." he asked the orange cat as he raised it up into the air.

Mastema's brow furrowed in a moment of consternation as Raphael retreated into his bedroom, saying something about "Fluffy". Then he turned and picked up a... a cat. Dear Lord, not a cat. Let it not be a cat. But it was. It was orange with bright yellow eyes that glared at her. It growled at her, almost too low to be heard by human ears. This would complicate things even more.
And the way Raphael had just left...that was not the reaction she'd been searching for. She would have to increase her efforts to get this passive boy become someone that could be worked with. Someone angry, jealous, perhaps even... murderous?
Her lips formed a small "O". "Did I say something wrong?" she asked Zack, her green eyes softening to appear concerned.

Raphael sighed and carried Fluffy over to his bed where he set her down. The moment he had let go though, she zoomed past him to sit at the door. Raphael sighed and flung himself onto his unmade bed and threw his arms out above his head. His room was only lit by the streetlights shining through his window over his desk. From the light he could see the posters that were beginning to peel off from the walls and all the papers that he'd flung to the ground. He didn't remember doing that, but if he had been writting, anything might have happened. He tended to lose his temper when writting, because he could never get out on the paper what he was really thinking. The dark grey walls only added to the darkness, making the room very dramatic and always good for writing poetry. For some reason, poetry was always easier to write in the state of depression.
"Come here Fluffy, come lay with me." He cooed, sitting up and patting his leg, "Daddy's lonely and I need someone to lay with."

Zack shook his head and smiled some, "Naw, he's just a little nervous and all around girls. He doesn't get out much with the ladies. I'm sure he'd be fine with them if he would relax about, but that's not good ol' Raph. Great guy, though, wouldn't hurt a fly."
He put his hands up behind his head, looking over at the black-haired beauty.
"If you're interested in clubs, or something such, I know a place not too far away, just a block away. 'Minutes to Midnight''s the name of it. If you're interested, I could take ya around to it, maybe show ya the town..." he said, smling invitingly.
"Whuddya say?"

"Ohhh," Mastema nodded her understanding, as if she didn't already know Raphael was a "great guy".
When Zack offered to take her to a club and show her around, she hesitated though. Would this hinder her venture in the long run or help it? Or perhaps...
"Oh, that'd be great," she gushed. "You're so sweet to offer. When are you free?"

Zack grinned, "Anytime you are. I work from here, via computer, besides the occasional business trip, as mentioned. Whenever you're free, just come by. Or, if you wouldn't mind going out so late, the night is still young, to make of whatever we wish.." he said, letting the hint trail off.

Raphael's stomache growled and grumbled startling him, "Oh I guess I better get some food before I fall asleep then." he grumbled to himself.
He slowly stood up and picked up Fluffy, holding her in his arms. He had assumed that Masa and Zack were gone by now, but he was surprised when he opened his door to find them still standing there.
"Oh, hello there."
