Matthew frantically caught the phone, and placed it at his ear as he heard it dial. Deciding to simply go with the plan and hoped it work, Matthew crossed his fingers as he began to speak.

"Hello, this is the residence of master Elrin Glick."

"Ah yes, this is Matthew... Graves here, executive of Peaceful Rest Enterprises. I've called in order to schedule a meeting with Elrin Glick. May I speak with him?"

Peaceful Rest Enterprises was an actually company which dealt with the funeral ceremonies of rich and famous people, and had positions all over the globe. Interestingly enough, the executive of Peaceful Rest actually went by the name of Matthew Graves, which made the situation rather unique.

"Please hold, sir."

Footsteps could be heard on the other end, until suddenly stopping. A new voice now entered Matthew's phone.

"Hello! Matthew Graves was it? The name's Elrin Glick. Big fan of Peaceful Rest; hope to use its services when it's my time, though certainly not any time soon, hmm?"

"Yes. Indeed. I was actually researching deeply in your company's history-"

As he spoke, Matthew shoved Rick out of the way and closed his solitare game, looking for the name Elrin Glick in one of the tabs Rick had made on his browser. Sure enough, the very first read Elrin Glick, and scanning through the information revealed he was the executive of Glick Savings, a company invested in the service of retirement funds.

"-and Glick Savings would make a lovely addition to the services offered with Peaceful Rest Enterprises. When I think of death, I looked first to my golden years, and as such a connection between the two would only increase profits between our companies.

"You may be on to something, Mr. Graves. Tell you what, we should make reservations-"

"Worry not, Elrin, may I call you Elrin? I have already scheduled a reservation at Charlie Trotter's on Rosewood Street."

"Ah, Charlie Trotter's! We both obviously have in common a preferance of masterful Italian food. Tell you what; seeing as you have bothered yourself to schedule all of this in advance, the meal will come on me."

"What a gracious offer, Mr. Glick. I'll be seated on the fourth table to the right. I recommend coming with a laptop or the like; Rest Peacefully Enterprises wishes for instances of our meeting.

"Agreed. Meet you then."

"Have a peaceful day."

Matthew folded his phone, and handed it back to Rick Glick. He grinned at his own work, having not know he would have been able to aquire the meeting of an executive character so easily, along with the deliverance of the Elrin Glick's will.

"You interest me; stealing from a relative? But then, who better? No one would question a will made out within one's own family."
Life is like a box of chocolates; You never know what you're going to get?

Last time I checked, we determined that you're getting a box of chocolates.

"That was my plan. No one notices the will being suspicious, and the fact he stole from me, it makes it better." Rick slowly put the phone away and shook his head slowly, the question of why he didn't die when he was shoved out of the way was repeating itself in his mind. Slowly he turned around and looked at Matthew, "Matthew, why didn't I die when you shoved me? You touched me, right? Or can Malvadons not hurt their masters?" Rick had never learned much about the Malvadons situation with having a human master, nor the rules they followed.

"Will he expect me to show up instead? Perhaps I should hide my face behind a newspaper until you have complete control over him, just to make sure he doesn't get suspicious as to what might be happening. Oh, and he said he... Didn't think his death was so soon? How unique that it's been planned out..."

Re: Devils of Zenshima ( )

"Yes, it is quite curious, isn't it. However, do not fret; I have planned it all out. I will be seated from the fourth table at the right, the no smoking area, and since there are six sets of tables on each side, you will be able to secure the sixth table by the wall. If we think abstractly, each table is about 5 feet in length, and there is approximately 5 feet of distance between each table. The people managing Charlie Trotter's are quite obsessive with their floor plan. As a result, the distance from my table to the fifth, the fifth table, and the distance between the fifth and sixth table add up to percisely 15 feet, the maximum distance we can travel from each other. As a result, you will be as far away from him as possible, and even sheltered under the cover of another table."

Matthew obviously had a great deal of time to plan all of this out, most likely resulting from two centuries of nothing but the tedious task of bring death to humans.

"I have even determined how to speak with this Elrin character. The moment he sits at the table, our shadows will connect, allowing me to control him. As long as I do not issue any commands to him, we should be able to have a normal conversation until you decide for me to implement the plan. Then, I'll make him write the will, leave for the restroom, and when I return I'll kill him. Food poisioning should do the trick."

Matthew took a seat at a chair nearby, fully satisfied by how extensively his plan was. To him, it was fool proof, and that made it all the more entertaining.

"Oh, and as for the reason I didn't kill you, you never told me to, so you didn't die. Though, if you want me to..."

"I'll pass." Rick laughed quietly as he looked around the apartment, "Then shall we go? And since when does food poisoning kill?" Rick, in all his years of being taken to the hospital, never heard of someone dying from food poisoning. "Make it that he died due to an unknown allergy of Italian food." Rick nodded slowly as he grabbed another soda from the fridge, before looking at Matthew quizzically, "Excuse me... But how did you know the floor plan? How many people have you killed in that restaurant, exactly?

"Let's just say the chief has quite a peculiar taste in food."

And with that interesting remark, Matthew opened the door for his master, preparing to lead him to this magnificent five star resturant he seemed to know so very much about. As it happened, Matthew once paid many visits to the resturant in the past, and from then on the image of the place was scarred into his memory. Although the food was notably the best in all of Zenshima, there was much more to it than that. For what is served can be described as so fresh that it was prepared within the resturant itself.

Rick walked out the door and looked back at the Malvadon, a smirk spreading across his face. "I don't like Italian, but if it's for the plan I suppose it'd work." For some reason, Rick's voice didn't sound to keen to the idea of going to this place, he heard of a murder that occurred there a few years ago, one of the cooks had come in drunk and stabbed a female co-worker with one of the cooking knives; and had dragged the body in the freezer before anyone could notice it.

It had a strange reputation of being the best food in this city, and Rick didn't necessarily trust it, but he wasn't going to be afraid. As he reached the stairs, he was 15 feet away from Matthew; when the phone Matthew gave him rang. Slowly Rick opened the phone and stared at the message,

"Elrin Glick, dies of a car wreck in 15 minutes outside of Charlie Trotter's." Rick turned to face Matthew, shaking his head slowly, "We need to hurry, and get the laptop out of the car before it wrecks... Can we get there in time?"

"Why? What's the pro-"

Matthew snatched the phone from his hands, and before he could do anything about it, the message quickly forwarded to another malvadon. At the moment, Matthew wasn't considered as an active malvadon, and since he had been "lucky" enough to acquire the new and improved Dirge, automatically his messages were sent to one who was.

"Damn it! What are we to do now?"

Matthew paced up and down the apartment a few times, before unveiling his wings.

"Hang on tight."

With those words, Matthew swooped towards Rick, and suddenly the two were soaring out of the window, headed for Charlie Trotter's with great speed. After ten minutes of travel, Elrin could be seen driving below, and Matthew descended to just a few feet above the car. The car would arrive at the resturant in five minutes, and that was also when Elrin would die.

"Alright, genius; what's the plan?"

"I cause him to crash, after you get the laptop out of the car, just put me down over on that sidewalk." Rick pointed to a spot at the upcoming intersection, he was going to walk out in front of the car to cause Elrin to swerve and crash into the concrete pillar on the side of the road. "But you need to do it right before I get him to wreck, otherwise it's going to be pointless..." Rick's eyes went to the chain and he realized that the plan was not going to work with the chains length, then, the thought of causing him to swerve was revised.

He was going to murder his brother, he was going to have to shoot him from a distance; the streets were empty and the camera's watching the street were disabled at this hour. "I'm going to shoot him, that will cause the car to wreck... But I won't kill him by shooting him, I'll just shoot him in the arm, hopefully the laptop will be safe."

"Whatever you say, Master."

With that, Matthew placed Rick onto the sidewalk, and quickly reared backwards with a powerful swoop of his wings. Picking up speed, he acelerated to the point where to even Rick he was a blur, and as he phased through the car, he put both of his hands on the laptop, and crashed through the other side of the window. As a result, Elrin Glick quickly began to panic, and soon he was driving like a madman, swerving this way and that on the street. It was only a matter of time until he would crash into Charlie Trotter's itself, which lied only a few blocks away.

"Or... you could do that." Rick watched as Elrin ran into the restaurant, and then a loud explosion rang throughout the streets. "Hm, well, now we change the will before they request it... Let's get out of here before they see something suspicious in us being here... And how the will might have suddenly changed." He turned on his heels and started walking away, flipping his own phone out and dialing 911; feeling best he better tell them and not let them waste their time, he wanted Elrin declared dead as soon as possible.

Matthew followed behind Rick, laptop in hand, as he pervailed through the air upon his jet black wings. His ominous grin had returned; all would work out in the end. This course of action would even prove to be more benefitial, seeing since now the death will appear to be an accident, which technically, if one does not know of the existance of malvadons, it was.

Yet, Matthew soon became curious. Why Elrin Glick in particular? His master's very own brother was now to be used as a source of income, and yet they could have easily picked off one of the many other businessmen of Zenshima. There certainly were many of them, and thus there would be no reason to get rid of his own relative. However, this was also Matthew's favorite part of the ordeal. Humans interested him greatly, their psychology being so diverse and different, unlike the broken souls of his fellow malvadons.

"Now tell me, why would a human desire to kill off his own brother? I once assumed that mortals such as yourself had great pride in the closeness of siblings; why use him so terribly?"

"Because he's the one who stole my child's life, so why not pay him back with the same, and he was never to close; he was my parents chosen child even if he was a year younger than I." Rick shook his head slowly, coming to a stop to pear down an alley way. Pulling Matthew's phone out he pulled up a map, sure enough; the house was down this alley. "Matthew, can you take out about... 7 or 8 people at, I don't know... One time?" He didn't wait for an answer as he walked down the alley with his hands in his pockets, looking around he grew suspicious. That's when the text appeared on the phone, "Neutralized?" Rick shook his head slowly as he read the message, until he realized he pulled his own phone out by mistake.

"Matthew... I think we're being, well, I think I'm being watched."

The text on the screen changed "If you come inside, you will die."

"Well, I think that's wrong... They'll die. Matthew, eight cases of what-ever you want them to die of with a side of fries, thank you." A sly grin spread across his face as he laughed at his own joke, shaking his head slowly.

"Whatever... I want... them to die of? Seven... or Eight of them?"

This was a malvadon's dream come true. To test his own abilities with an exercise that allowed him whatever he could imagine. Matthew would not be forced to answer to anyone's will, to kill within the limitations of a foolish message, and simply kill for the pleasure of killing. As one begins to be "forced" into tedious tasks they do not desire in doing, they grow bored and do not appreciate their art. This was the same in the case of most malvadons, and a situation such as this was treated as a breathe of fresh air. Already, Matthew was joyfully striding alongside of Rick, his feet merrily taking each step with a certain feel to savor the moment.

Any method of death I desire? Matthew thought with a grin of devilish content spread across his face. Oh, the possibilities I've never had before. Serving this human certainly has its benefits. Perhaps black plague? The cleaving of one's head? Ah, such wonderous images! And all within my grasp; I may do to them however I like. In this case, I might as well enjoy my mar towards their bodies as much as physically possible; chances such as this do not appear so often, or rather not at all.

The door creaked open to let the sunlight illuminate a dark room with a couch, easy chair, a table. These were basic things in a home, and on these things were people; guns were on the wall and crates of miscellaneous illegal goods were stacked up against the walls. Money was laid out on the table, counterfeit, it seemed this was one of those hives; were the evil collected and hid while in the night they broke the laws. "We told you not to come in here."

"I came in anyway." Rick stepped into the room, looking around them with a smug grin on his face, "I came here to warn you, that something bad will happen. Each of you will probably go under..." The grin turned to a smirk as he looked over at Matthew, then back at the people in the room, "A horrid series of torture, to whatever whim my friend decides."

"More of this occult stuff?"
"Bah, he's bluffin'."

The voices filled the room as Rick pointed to one of them, "I have merely one request Matthew, silence him first."
