Name : Maria Osloan

Age : Seventeen

Worker or Patient : Patient

Personality : Maria on a good day is calm, quiet and mildly social in the right environment but on most days she’s introverted, depressed and keeps entirely to herself. So much so that she won’t really talk to others unless she is telling them to leave her alone or if they happen to ask her a question she cares to answer. She tends to cry without giving a reason but she tries to hold it in a lot of the time and because of that sometimes her normally quiet personality can become loud and somewhat filled with rage, yelling at the first person to even annoy her.

Reason you are here: Maria was taken into this mental institution because of her depression and suicidal thoughts. Her suicidal thoughts for the most part have ceased to exist but have been replaced with sudden and violent outbursts. She had never hurt a person but she has the bad habit of punching walls or other inanimate objects causing her to be a bit of a danger to herself.

Appearance: Short red hair [actually red, dyed, those her natural hair is also of the ‘red’ variety so it blends well] cut in the bobbed fashion being considerably shorter in the back and angled strongly in the front. Her eyes are a deep shade of green that have very small almost unnoticeable flecks of brown so more often than not she just says she has green eyes. She stands at a short five foot one and weighs a little over one hundred and five pounds. She’s small framed with round shoulders. Her figure is thin and not very curvy at all. She also fails to be ‘well endowed’ in the chest area so at times she tends to look a bit masculine. Given the right clothes and makeup job she really can pull off being a guy.

Personality : She has no control over her rage what-so-ever. Some days shes nice and happy and others shes depressed. Shes hurt more then 3 people in her life that she loved and knew she had a problem. She never liked hearing it though, if anyone spoke of her "problem" she would get man. On good days her doctor could actually get her to talk about it but she usually rarely admits she has a problem. She likes to listen to music as a release. She needs the hard metal rock music for when she wants to scream and kill herself. Music acts as a way of preventing anything like that from happening. Eumelia does cut herself occationaly but she never turns to drugs for help. She is straight edge because she knows that she has too many problems to deal with she doesn't need anymore.


Reason you are here : Eumelia is bipolar Type 1. She was diagnosed at the age of 13 and has lived with it for 4 years. Shes always had the gene for it but she needed an offset button. Hers was her mom that would not stop yelling. Eumelia was so fed up with her mom that she pushed her one day and her mom had to go to the hospital. From that they on Eumelia was diagnosed as bipolar and never spoke to her mom since.

You're accepted, but with the rage thing just keep it like under control. Obviously violent fits are okay, but nothing stupid. I'm sure you know the limits, but I've seen people in roleplays like this decide to attack the doctors with fucking chainsaws and stuff. I just don't want stupid things like that. Anyways, you're in.

Age: 34
Worker or patient: psychologist.
Personality: Damien is generallly a kind hearted person to everyone he meets. He tries to be as friendly as he can be to the patients, even when they are miss behaving. He doesn't believe that harsh punishments will help them but will inforce the rules. He may be kind and gentle but that is not to be confused for weakness. He is also very protective of the patients andn will do anything to insure their safety and well-being as well as the doctors there. If he could, he would live at the hospital just to be close in case his patients needs him.He wants nothing more than to help those at the hospital even if he goes against certain rules.

Reason you are here: The original hosptial Damien worked at no longer needed his assistance since they had closed down so he put up an application at Safe Haven where he was accepted and began to work again. He works closely with Honor

Description: Damein has short cocco brown hair and honey colored eyes. He stands tall at 6'2 and weighs about 186 Ibs. He is a strong built man which decieves his kind heart. When reading, he wears black rimmed glasses which he sometimes forgets are on his face.

David Brown is an extremely thoughtful and caring boy. He is always ready to help when the opportunity arises, and tries to make the patients of Safe Haven feel at home. He loves to read, write, and tell stories to the patients and workers at Safe Haven. He has ambitions to eventually become a psychiatrist. David is somewhat unsure as to why he is here. Sure, he was told things, but they just don't add up, and he has trouble believing them. For whatever reason, David goes along with the program anyway.

Marcus Long hates everything about Safe Haven, from the rotting garbage they call food, to the humans that look like death. Marcus wishes the place would just burn to the ground, residents included. Marcus would do it himself, and he knows how to pull it off, but there is something holding him back, there is something about the place, a secret yet to be revealed. It's something he can feel in his soul.
Of course he will tell no one: for fear that if he did they would take it away, and it would be lost forever. The workers know it, or at least they know key information about it, and so Marcus will play along with this world they had set up out in the middle of nowhere. For now.

Needless to say Marcus has a great distrust in everyone, and doesn't do well with social interactions. When he has to be around others he prides himself in being able to manipulate people, and is really the only thing he likes about humans.


David Brown was diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder (multiple personality disorder), after pouring lighter fluid over his brother, Joseph, after which he lit a match and watched as Joseph, who was only 6, went up in flames. His parents ran to the aid of Joseph, extinguishing the flames, and rushing the boy to the emergency room.

Joseph lived, but would be scarred for life, he also developed a severe speech impediment, that the doctors said could be fixed, but would take years before any noticeable improvements.

David had no memory of the terrible incident, and was just as shocked and troubled by it as his parents. After going to several psychiatrists, it was apparent what was wrong with David, and soon after was sent to live at Safe Haven.

Name : Taylor Franklin
Age : 13
Worker or Patient : Patient
Personality : Taylor struggles to act normal, when she's normally feeling overwhelmed by the other people and things in the room. She's a friendly person normally, but would rather spend her time organizing things than talking to other people. She's not mean, and rarely throws violent fits like most of the patients. The only bad time that Taylor will have is if someone interrupts her while she's in the middle of counting or sorting objects. She can spend hours of her time scrubbing her hands because she feels germy, or cleaning other people's rooms just because looking at the mess hurts her head. Stealing things tends to put Taylor on other people's bad side, but most of the other patients know that she's only doing it because of kleptomania, and that they will get it back. Most of the time Taylor is in her own little world, so it's hard for people to see that she really can be normal. She's incredibly smart and is constantly doing mathematical things in her head, but her disorders tend to make her feel out of place. Of course, at Safe Haven it is hard to feel out of place, because no one is normal.
Reason for Being Here : Taylor suffers from obsessive compulsive disorder and kleptomania. She's suffered with both of these for years, but her OCD has always been a small problem compared to kleptomania. She has just recently encountered her third arrest on charges of theft. Kleptomania is something that she has, causing her to have the urge to steal things, generally of little value. She was caught stealing boxes on pens and paper clips from a stationary store, and after paying the charges, her parents decided it was too much of a challenge to keep up with their daughter.

Age: 35
Worker or Patient: Psychiatrist specializing in hypnosis and non chemical medication

Personality: Often referred to by his surname, Roman is a very introverted man. He prefers to keep to himself and pours himself over his work. Though he is rather reclusive, he is still a warm and caring man. He treats people with a high level of respect including his patients. However, Roman doesn’t allow people to succumb to their own vices; whether it is a chemical imbalance or an obsessive behavior. Roman doesn't have much of a sense of humor relying more on situational entertainment rather than sarcasm or comedy. While trying to maintain an optimistic outlook, he enjoys the simpler pleasures in life rather than turning to the remedial joys.

Reason you are here: After losing his wife to a recurring illness six years prior, Roman left his position as a therapist for a detective department with the FBI. He believes that everyone should have the opportunity to live life to the fullest so he began applying as a full time psychologist.

Roman came to the new Asylum after hearing about a new opening for a therapist. He often uses humanistic psychology on his patients in order to get them to reason their way through their own problems. At the heart of it, Roman sees the mind like a puzzle box; one only needs the right combination to solve the problem.
