Taylor followed the doctor's lead and walked over to the couch. She glanced around nervously, only to smile in relief when spotting the box of wipes. She quickly grabbed one, wiped the couch area down and sat down. Her head rested on the table next to the couch and she picked up a few of the pens.

"For fun?" She asked, taken back by his question a bit. "I like to count things," She said, staring at the ground as she thought about it a bit harder. She didn't really have fun here. She spent her time by counting and sorting, counting and sorting and then stealing. It wasn't fun, it just made the days go by quicker. "I like to sort things." It was true. Taylor really couldn't stand one thing being out of place and her sorting ways changed everyday. Once she got to know the doctor a little better, she would be re-arranging his office.

"Counting things?" rRoman asked with a grin and a raised eyebrow, "that sounds interesting. I'll make sure to recruit you when us doctors need to take inventory." He offered her a small wink and reached into his pocket for a packet of gum. He pulled out a piece, placing it in his mouth while crumbling the wrapper and setting it on the coffee table. "But a young girl as pretty as you must enjoy being outdoors, shopping, going to the movies, things like that," he said and extended the package to her. "Would you like a piece?"

Taylor gave only a half-smile in response to the doctor's joke. She shifted nervously in her seat, moving the pens around on the table beside her. She watched as he put a piece of gum into his mouth, then dropping the wrapper on the table and speaking again. She leaned over, picking up the wrapper from the table. The silver wrapper was irritating her as it sat on the wood. This doctor needed to learn quicker.

"No thank you," Taylor said in response to the gum offer. She leaned back on the couch, looking around the room. "Outdoors? Oh, no. There are far too many germs out there. It's nice to look outside though. Sometimes the sky looks pretty." Her eyes wandered over to the window. It was still very nice out, but even on day's as beautiful as today, Taylor wouldn't go out.

"Really?" he asked with a furrowed brow. "You know, there a germs everywhere. In fact, there are far more harmful germs processed indoors than outdoors. But I'm sure that you already knew that." He turned in his chair and grabbed the folder off his desk. He opened the front page and scanned the contents. "Do you still keep in regular contact with your parents?" he asked with an abrupt subject change.

Taylor stiffened for a minute, shocked as he said there were more germs indoors. She hadn't known that at all, but wasn't ready to be proven wrong. "There are rattlesnakes outside," She said, although she had no idea if there were any or not. The last time she had been outside was about a year ago, back when she had been brought here.

Next Dr.Roman brought up her parents. Taylor didn't keep regular contact with them. She didn't email or write them back, nor would she take any of the phone calls when it was them on the other end. They would send letters and cards on holidays, but Taylor never responded. It was more of a one-way relationship now.

"They like to contact me, but I don't like them. It's a waste of my time," was Taylor's simple response to his question. She didn't like anyone of her family anymore. They singled her out, making her feel weirder than she already knew she was and then sent her here as if she was a prisoner.

"Hmm," Roman said nodding. "I can understand that. My parents were never easy to get along with when I was younger too. I bet it is especially difficult that they sent you here. I can't imagine this is the sort of place you dream of living in," he chuckled softly. "I'm curious as to what you think of this place. What I mean to say is, why do you think you are here? Is there anything specific you hope to accomplish before your time here is completed?"

Taylor leaned over, grabbing the hand sanitizer off of the man's desk before squeezing some onto her hands and rubbing the feverishly. She glanced back up at him before picking up a few more of the pens and placing them on her lap.

"I'm here because the judge suggested it, and no, there's nothing that I need to accomplish," Taylor stated as she pushed her glasses up farther on her face. She was ready to roll her eyes, thinking back on that day in court. She was there on charges of theft, but only because of her kleptomania. It provoked her to take things such as the boxes of paperclips and pens, just so that she could stack them next to the rest of her boxes at home.

"That seems rather dull," Roman said leaning back in his chair and resting an elbow on the back of it. "I mean, you can't be having much fun being unproductive. A girl with your calculating talents should be put to work," he said grinning. "Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, I have horrible organizational skills. How about you do me a favor and help me get settled in? I'm not sure I like the layout of this office, not to mention I'm terrible at rotating a schedule...can't ever seem to fit everything into one day, plus I'll have to make sure I sort out the right medications to the right patients. I could use an assistant. You up for it?"

David Brown

David considered Damien's offer, but the room was packed, and David felt this to be much too personal to talk about here. Was Damien even the right peron to talk to?

"Well actually, Mr. Cross, I would prefer we talk somewhere more, private. If that's alright with you?"

Just then somebody started to scream, actually hitting some girl with a bottle, who, in turn started crying. David easily guessed the scenario which would quickly unfold: more screams, more tears, and about 2 or 3 workers would come rushing in and try to calm everyone down, and most likely take a few kids away. This was standard, run of the mill, loony bin occurrences; and David was tired of it. Which was precisely why David needed to talk with someone in charge.

Damien looked up at the screams and quickly called in nurses to take care of it while he took care of David. He couldn't take care of all of them at once and if he pushed David away for this little fight, the boy might change his mind. "Alright, let's go to my office. That is definatly more private than it is here." He Stood and threw away his trash before he lead David to his clean office which looked like all the other offices except he had personal photos around his desk. He sat down in his coushined chair and smiled at David. "Take a seat. Now what is it that you needed to talk to me about?" he asked.

Alll at once, several nurses rushed into the cafeteria and grabbed Stefan's thrashing arms. They half-dragged him back to his room, the whole time, his panic and confusion rising. "It's ok!" Shouted one of the aids to Stefan. They shoved him onto his bed, and put his wrists into straps connected to the bed railing so he wouldn't try to hurt himself. Another nurse came in and sat down beside his bed in a chair. "Stefan," the woman said kindly, yet with enough force to get him to quiet down for a moment, "You're ok. You're at Safe Haven Mental Institution. You're going to be fine. Please just close your eyes and try to rest." Almost as if he had no control of his body, Stefan closed his eyes and immedietly fell into a light sleep.

Taylor was barely able to hide the small smile that wanted to slide onto her lips after the doctor offered to let her become his assistant. That would obviously come with the chance to re-arrange his office to her likings, steal his pens, organize folders and medical cabinets and really anything that Taylor could get her hands on. This did excite her, but she also knew that she didn't want to make it seem like she was enjoying her time here. So, she changed the subject.

"Why did Honor dump me with you?" She asked curiously. Honor had been her one therapist and doctor for the months that Taylor had been here. Change was something that she didn't like and something as big as this was still not going over well with her, even with the strong bribes of so many things to work with with this man.
