Don't Let the Stars Suck You In (OOC) ( )

Postby MrWarehouse on Wed Jan 06, 2010 2:56 am

I'll start off with this:

This is the first time in a long time that I've attempted to pull together a role-play. I haven't written in awhile, either, so bear with me. Also, If any of you have input on this, or anything to add on, please, let me know. That's basically it! Hah.

Now...for the main event!

Oh wait, before I forget: This is a mature RP. Just remember that.

Also: I am an asshole, be warned. I am a fair one. :]
---------------------------

Life is the same as we know it. We begin to see its true form only when specific things tend to mix in with each other, but when that happens we're still only looking at the bigger picture. You never really see detail if you're too far away. So what truly brings us together besides disaster? Is it that we're afraid of actually finding something with an absolute meaning? Like-minds tend to share biased allegation on these questions, only because they're being asked. But I don't. No. There's really nothing to find. And if there actually was, it's not here to distinguish. The picture is too big. We're too close to get anymore description than what's in front of us.

I am just trying to show you how easy it is to confuse someone, yet grab their attention by how we lay words out. The tongue is deceiving. The mouth seems to always be filled with lies. Even the most truthful person gives a white lie or two. And that's life. This entire time this has been about life.

Let's ask the question - where does life come from? Obviously, life is formed via reproduction with the human species. Being apparent, we're speaking in simple terms and talking about humans. Don't let me lose you. Not only do we have the power to bring life, but we arere given the power to take life away, and, oh, how easy that is. How manageable we are in doing such things.

We are not grim reapers. We are human; the same thing everyone else is. We are not murderers. Actually, this entire time I've been describing unnecessary things. What you need to know is that life is an unsolvable mystery only to be described as we grow older. Talking about humans was just to throw you off. Let me get into the real ordeal here.

Not too many years ago I found myself sitting in my chair with a cheap pair of - so help me Lord - blood sucking headphones on. Not only did it feel like it was tearing my ears off from the inside out, but was making me quite unfocused of what I was really doing, trying to listen to my own heartbeat. I was trying to control my heart; the flow of blood throughout my body. I only wanted to tire myself so I could sleep; so I could forget what I had done earlier that day. I tried other means of tiring myself. Even lesser effect.

At this time it was certain I was going to be up for another hour or two. I looked out my window and realized the sky was white. It had to of been one o'clock in the morning. It wasn't snowing, either.

I had started to lay in my bed when I glanced out the window again. There was an ominous figure standing outside in the middle of the street. He was staring into my room. I wasn't sure of his intent, but I could not see his face. On another note he wasn't wearing any clothes. It had to have been about twenty-five degrees outside. At least.

He spoke to me. Funny if you ask how. I can't explain it. His words, they entered my mind like an image; pictures, like a slide presentation in my head that I couldn't control. He did not show me world destruction. He did not show me death. He showed me myself. My inner self. He envisioned me as the person I am - a link. I was a link to the worlds beyond our world. It was not describable in words. But the people who were to join me, they too, were in my mind.

What are these worlds, and for (mind my language) fuck's sake, who are these people? How the hell am I going to find them...?
------------------------------------------------------

Ground rules.

This RP is entirely up to fate. We are taken where we want to be taken. Just understand that we're not going into some form of anime reincarnation, or back in time, or even more, into the future! No, I want something more. Something out of the ordinary. Something we have not experienced yet.

Take us there, people.

Like I said above, and pardon my french again, I don't want any anime shit. Stuff annoys me in RPs. Let's leave it to the Japanese. (No offense. Some anime is good, only when it's ANIME!)

Also (please don't take offense in what I say here), if you can't write, then don't write in here. I like a challenge, and/or criticism. There are many other RPs you can join in. I am just being very forward.

Be nice to other people, too. I'm not wanting to have to break up childish fights. If I step out of line, feel free to notify me. Everyone makes mistakes.

Oh yeah! Be creative. Let the imagination flow. Fluidity is a key. Imagine a tree and how it would look without color. We don't want that. Wait. Have we even seen an actual tree, in our face, without color? Maybe we might want something like that. Hmm...
--------------------------------------------------------

Sheets -

Name:

Age:

Gender:

Appearance: (This is where it gets tricky. I know it's easy giving a general appearance of your character, but give it animation. Make it you. Put your own clothes into them if you have to, unless you're boring of course.)

Biography and/or history will not be needed. For one, who gives a crap where you came from? Hah, just kidding. Let it be shown in how your character truly is and develops into. I don't want no crap like..."my parents were killed". Boohoo. What great comes out of that? A child who is to himself and has no imagination, that's what.

I'll give in my sheet when I see fit.
---------------------------------------------------------

I think that's it. Like I said above - if you have anything else you might want to add or anything, let me know!

Don't think I'm a jerk. I'm not. I'm only open with how I feel about certain standards. RPers, join join join!
What is life, really?

http://www.roleplaygateway.com/don-let-the-stars-suck-you-ooc-t36065.html I need RPers! I don't bite. I promise!

Name: Larissa Tudor

Age: 24

Gender: Female

Appearance: Larrisa is a small girl, at only 5'2 and 105lbs. Though she has a large personality, that makes up for her small size. She has long, wavy, brown hair that goes halfway down her back, and is rarely ever styled up. She has soft features, and wear little makeup. Though she is still beautiful. Her style is not average, as she prefers to wear vintage pieces and soft shades. She moves in a very light manner, as if every step is a dance move. All of this adds up to a stunning girl, but there is something dark about her. There is something dark in her eyes and she is a misanthrope. This is what is off-putting about Larissa.

I have no idea where this rp is going, MrWarehouse but I am going to join. Lead the way.

Oh, wait. is it supposed to be rl?
Like, should the sheet be filled in according to real life things? I just picked up the little history part at the end.
If it should be a real sheet, well, you know my real life sheet. So yeah.

This is all here to fill the rest of the forum thing because I can't post anything shorter than whatever the limit is. I guess I can tell people my name is Maria Gabrielle and well I; am at the minimum. Bye.

Oh, no, you can create a character to whatever you want. Feel free to make her however you feel.

What I want to do is create a plot where everyone pulls the story along. Sort of like one of those "create your own story" books.

I just need more RPers, lol. After that, we'll start it off like any ordinary day. Things tend to get more odd as time goes on, though.
