Full name Eden Mae Kelly
Nicknames Usually just Eden, but there are others: Mae, Em, E.M. Kelly, Eddy, Ed, and affectionately Auntie Eden by Damon.
Role The best friend, the babysitter, the cook, and anything else she is needed to be.
Age Twenty-eight
Birthdate August 7th
Occupation A hand model. Plus a million other things. But the hands are the money.
Physical description Eddy is somewhat tall, her height coming to about five feet nine inches. She has a lithe figure, with average curvaceousness and long legs and limbs. Her skin is soft and clear, save the occasional freckle. She has gold hair that reaches approximately an inch below her shoulder, but she usually wears it into some kind of up-do anyway; it is naturally straight. She has umber eyes, with a ring of lighter brown around the pupils, framed by long but pale eyelashes. Her lips are full and coral-hued, her smile bright and dentally-adjusted; just watch her mouth, it will always give away her emotions.
Eden prefers to dress for comfort, and she's damned good at finding eclectic, reasonably priced, and fashionable clothes. Normally, you'll find her in some pair of jeans with a comfortably fitting shirt, mostly empire-waisted things. Her love for vintage clothing is obvious.
Personality Eden is uncommonly accepting and relational. The ironic thing is, she has more acquaintances than actual comrades. She is the person who will show up at your door with a bouquet of roses, just because, and make you dinner and do the dishes after ward. She's almost never inconvenienced, and is willing to drop everything she has going on in her life to help her loved ones. That might also be considered a fault, as she doesn't often take time for herself., and finds herself in stressful situations that weigh on her emotions. Another thing: she can have terrible mood swings on occasion, so,
beware.
History Eden was born just outside of London, England, to Camilla and Lawrence Kelly, a businessman and an interior designer. She was their only child, and happily so, as they desired only one child. They lived in a tastefully decorated apartment in the city, with plenty of space for the family of three. Financially stable if not
blessed, Eden was able to go to private schools that offered her more than public education. She learned well, and excelled in all of her classes. She continued through high school, and until graduation.
She didn't wish to attend a university until she had taken a year off to figure out exactly what she wanted to do. After all, she was going to be spending four years at the place, may as well choose something good, right? But, her plans to go to college were soon enough thrust aside upon her meeting
Grant Mkenna. He was an American, an artist, who's gallery had been featured at one of the museums in London. He was a real catch, and Eden and him hit it off extremely well. He was going to be living in the city for a while, working on new pieces, summoning muse for a new project he was starting. They began to date, and were in a relationship for at least two months. It became somewhat serious, both of them convinced they were utterly in love.
Grant was planning to stay in London, as he loved it there and was doing successfully with his art, until he was offered an amazing opportunity back in the States. It was a high-paying job, and he couldn't turn it down; therefore, he asked Eden to move in with him. This would mean she would have to move across the globe, give up her life in London, everything. But she was willing to do so. They left within the next couple of weeks and found an apartment in the States.
Around six months after the move, Grant proposed. They were married in December, a winter wedding, as Eden had always wanted. Everything was working out perfectly. A year after the marriage, Eden found out she was pregnant... she assumed Grant would be ecstatic, but his reaction surprised her. He was almost angry. He kept saying things like "this baby will put a damper on my career" and "we're not ready for children". Eden wasn't about to give up her child, hell no. He pressured her into getting an abortion, but she refused. Little did she know the baby would never make it to full term, anyway.
They had argued to much and grown so far apart that when she was only two months along, Grant divorced her. He felt that she was holding him back from what could be a successful career. She found an apartment of her own, coincidentally in the building Rowena Calver would move into a few years later, and earned her own keep. Three months later, she had a miscarriage. She had to undergo surgery to remove the fetus; the physical recovery was only a week or so, but her emotional recovery took much longer. She stayed secluded in her apartment for weeks, having no motivation go out and do anything. Finally, she was forced to begin again, to let go of the past and everything involving Grant. She went around her house and threw everything that reminded her of him into a box, then shoved it away somewhere. But the lingering presence of what might have been her baby never left.
Rowena moved in a week before Eden's twenty-fifth birthday, and they met because she invited everyone in the building to come to a party. Ever since then, she has been rather close with Ro and her son.
